Why this cry over under-age. Is age determined by size of the body?

janus05:
Bauchi Govt. warns under-age to keep off polling units

Bauchi (Bauchi State) – The Bauchi State Government on Friday called on parents and guardians to caution their under-age children and wards to steer clear of polling units during elections on Saturday.

This call is conveyed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ishola Adeyemi, in Bauchi.

The government, in the statement, also appealed to politicians to call their supporters to order so that the elections would be conducted peacefully and in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations.

It said the government would not hesitate to deal with anyone or group of people who would want to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the elections.

According to the statement, the call is part of efforts to ensure a peaceful conduct of the April 11 governorship and state House of Assembly elections in the state.

“As a responsible government, we will not condone any act of hooliganism from any quarter, to ensure that the peace being enjoyed in the state is not compromised.

“As such, anyone who has no business at polling units should steer clear of the area, before, during and after the elections’’, the statement added.

The state government warned that it would not hesitate to deal with anyone or group of people who may want to disrupt the electoral process in the state.

It stated that security agents had been put on alert to arrest anyone caught inciting miscreants to cause violence, no matter how highly placed they are.

It, however, called on security agents to treat people with caution to avoid eruption of violence.

It further called on voters to conduct themselves peacefully, before, during and after the elections, so that peace will continue to reign in the state. (NAN)

The APC, according Femi Fani-kayode is a party of liars. One wonders how possible is it for a party of liars to have caged PDP ( a party that wanted to rule, sorry loot Nigeria for 60 years) in the last Presidential election so easily and with a margin of more than 2million votes.

It is also in the media that President Jonathan's new role a good democrat was not willingly, he was giving no option, having been told the consequences of doing anything that will jeopardize the concept and practice of democracy in Africa.

Secondly, the results of the election can meke us conclude that majority of Nigerians still prefer "Party of liars" than "Party of evils and looters" that PDP represents.

Has agbaje demonstrated d capacity to perform?

I have not seen him show an understanding of lagos complexity at all. He was talking rubbish in all his interviews I watched. He has changed his position many times on simple things within d campaign period. He will be overwhelmed.

What his agbaje's record? What he done before? Where has he worked before?

Agbaje is also a puppet of bode George, ogunlewe and obanikoro. He didn't win d pdp primaries. They rigged it for him.

We shd not ask for change for d sake of change. Why are we not asking for change in other states of d country? Why only lagos? Will agbaje's change bring progress?

U can be sure it won't bring progress. What lagos needs for progress is to be in d same party as d one in abuja.

How can lagos alone affect our one party state? What of plateau, taraba, rivers, cross river, akwa ibom, delta, etc
Don't worry we already know the reason. It is the hand work of my brothers from the south east, they think they are revenging the loss of Jonathan at the Federal. Alas!! They got it wrong.
Their recent disposition in the political scene of Lagos had drove other ethnic groups and more importantly Yoruba PDP away from voting Agbaje, simply because; their motives had been misinterpreted by many as wanting to dominate/hijack Lagos from the Hands of the indigenes. This act, is not only discomforting to the indigenes (yorubas), but other peace loving ethnic groups in Lagos.
For sure, you know all the Nigerian of Northern extract are for ambode and even considerable numbers of south-south Nigerians.

For us to move forward, I think it is time for my pained brother and sister to forget the past biafran and respect their accommodating host wherever they find themselves and likewise other groups that are not from south east.

As at now, the Yorubas are already mobilising their people who were docile in the last election due the OPC threat and that such threat had been laid to rest based on the Presidential election that was won by APC and Mr. integrity(GMB/PYO).

Texcoco:
Political pundits can analyse clearly the indices of this election and most can say that SW wasn't really the tipping point for Buhari's win, infact the geo political zone had no influence whatsoever in the general scheme of things as far presidential election is concerned and to top it all,you have thieffnubu trying to pull strings for a job not well done??! What about those in the NW,NE and NC?? .....The SE/SS block votes really impressed some northern politicians to say the least including Buhari and he will be keen to secure his political base from any northern rival even thieffnubu himself by courting these people vigourously and if ever the two politicians come to blows as it is inevitable,Buhari can dump thieffnubu, maybe impeach PYO and take charge of his political destiny...
Am of opinion that the North are naturally better in natural consideration and commitment to legally enforceable agreement than SE who many other tribes never seen with eyes of sincerity in all aspect of their doings, including to themselves. They see cheating as "Nna na busyness now, ngbanu? grin grin grin.

There are few exceptional good people among them, to be candid.

The SE were enjoying the party, dinning and winning with President Jonathan, Pushed him and caged him away from reality, Pius Anyim like many of other from SE became the power brokers who determines who get what position (either qualifies or not, a typical case was that of PENCOM where an act (PRA 2014) was amended mainly to accommodate the deficiency in the new PENCOM GM working experience and so many other MDAs).

I will advise my people from SE to take it easy and not to allow the pains of the last Presidential election to dehumanized them, after all other tribes are not that bad and will not behave like they think and do, they will be adequately included in the affairs of Nigeria, because it belongs to all us.

PoliticsRe: Breaking News: Igbo Lagos Residents And Traders Mobilize For Agbaje. by tmotmo: 7:52pm On Apr 07, 2015
ARKdiscloser7:
We Igbos at Ago Palace Way, Okota held a crucial meeting with the leaders of OPC yesterday at the Century hotel.
And have resolved to massively vote for and defend our votes.
I was really scared when I saw those OPC guys because I hat associating with them.
Infact most of my friends initially rejected the meeting because once those OPC get to know you in person my brother it is extortion all through.

But once the news of the Oba's statement filtered in, all guys from different neighborhood attended the meeting till late in the night.
I heard they intendto extend same meeting to Isolo, Ajao Estate, Oke Afa, Ejigbo, Ikotun, Amuwo and Festac before the election.
Please let us know when you finish deceiving yourself. grin grin grin grin

Do you know why the OPC you mentioned did not vote for PDP after been awarded several millions of Naira pipeline security contract?

The Yorubas have a way calling themselves to order and this was used to remind Otunba Gani Adams of the main purpose of OPC establishment which is to protect their sisters and brothers (Not Ibos, just like MASSOB interest if for Ibos alone).

2ndly, for your information and that of other members on this forum;

On the surface i will join others to condemn the utterance of the royal father, HRM Oba Ridwan Akiolu of Lagos; however no one is asking why the statement from the royal father who is supposed fathers of all irrespective of tribe and religion in his domain?

It was realiably gathered that when Ifeanyi Uba of Capital oil visited Jimi Agbaje and had meetings with some Ibo leaders in Lagos, Jimi at that meeting called by Ifeanyi and some other prominent Ibo extracted from Jimi Agbaje to give them a title that will be of equal status with that of Oba Ridwan Akiolu, the paramount ruler of Lagos.

The Governorship Candidate responded that, he will not only do that but in addition give Ibos more, but not less than one-quarter of the entire appointments into state MDAs.

People should also realised that both parties have moles and planted informant in several other parties for strategic purposes, it was one of the above reasons that threatened the existence of his rulership that could be the reason for such comments.

However, I am of opinion that we should ask ourselves the following questions?

(1) It the promise by Jimi Agbaje feasible?
(2) Is it right for the Ibos to think they can dominate their host community?
(3) It is right or possible for the Yorubas to actually carry out the treat from the King?
(4) Is Ibo the only community hosted in Lagos?
(5) Can it ever be possible for any tribe to decide direction of governance for the Ndigbo in Igboland?
(6) Can the same thing happening to Yorubas be attempted in Hausaland or Ijawland?
(7) Is it not better to redraw our relationship with ourselves?
(cool Of what benefit is for the Ibos trying to dominate others when other tribes are not doing same to them?
(9) Does it occur to every Lagosian that if there is crisis we will all have one thing or the other to loose?

It is better we jawjaw than war-war.

I personally believe the issue of utterances from Oba Akiolu is diversionary, just like PDP did prior to the Presidential election where their campaign were based on attacking personalities of GMB, PYO, Tinubu, Okorocha, Ngige and other APC stalwarts instead of staging and maintaining issues-based campaign.

They have started again !!!!!

I do not support violence of any form, however, if it is on this forum to canvas for my candidate, I simply say "To hell with unreasonable Ibos's vote" Their votes that could do any magic for Jonathan can never push Jimi Agbaje to anything good in his life.

PoliticsRe: First Thing First, Buhari Must Stop Tinubu by tmotmo: 10:29am On Apr 05, 2015
What is actually happening on this thread?
How can there be many intelligent discussion based on hearsay or mere dislike for the person of Asiwaju.
The fact is that you don't need to like all people, but calling Tinubu a Thief was concocted just like certificateless Buhari and fake pastor Osinbajo were.

Envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own. ~Harold Coffin

If actually, Asiwaju was a thief or whatever they called him as against what he actually stands for because of "the enemy" misgivings toward his been a successful business person and political icon in his own stand in the history of Nigeria, we should ask ourselves or provide answers to the following:

(a) Why is it that the company he owns (ALPHABETA) and been alleged as the conduit for Tinubu financial malpractices is not only consulting and acting as Internal Generated Revenue agents for some APC controlled states, but also some PDP controlled states? (If you are confused, do a research on this)

(b) If for 8 years under the Obasanjo Presidency when there were discriminating EFCC prosecutions against opposition, and despite the obvious in the relation between Pres Obasanjo and Tinubu, do you think the needful wouldn't have been done?

(c) Why? if as we speak now, Femi Fani-kayode the Director of Information for President Jonathan is still having a pending EFCC case to answer, did Government of PDP who has the apparatus to investigate Tinubu will not do so, knowing fully well that this is the man that built a formidable opposition to the ruling party?

(d) Why do you think the most important thing (as you tagged the topic, FIRST THING FIRST) is to stop Tinubu and not institutionalizing/overhauling the core principles/practices of Anti-corruption models we have in the country; where nobody will be above the law including the President, his family, his business and political associates and party members?

(e) This Tinubu, that Tinubu, here Tinubu, there Tinubu, why is it so difficult for you guys to leave the methods you employed during the campaign period that led to your failure. It is been said "that you can do things same way and expect a different result".

Personally, I believe the PDP losers should be nursing their wounds and re-strategise to give a good fight to APC to have check and balances in Government than focusing on the looting dreams that could not be realized any longer, because Nigerians have rejected looting and other forms corruption they stood for and wanted to last for 60years.

Like someone said on another thread of this Forum, if the PDP plan A (PDP must win at all cost) and Plan B (Buhari should not be declared winner) have failed,

Then we all need to continue our struggle for true democracy with prayer and hard work, because PDP Plan C (Buhari will not be sworn in) should be taken serious and the security of President-Elect (Buhari) is more important now than ever for Nigerian and Nigerians that choosed him to lead them in the next four years.

Last PDP Plan D (form a strong opposition to APC) should be a welcome idea if based on principles that could be sold to Nigerians for adoption and due electoral process followed, because in such a political environment, the ordinary people will be winners.

Please Let Asiwaju Tinubu be!!!!!!!!!

All we should hope for in the Buhari led Government is the improvement for all Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religion, either from Cursed oil producing states or not. He should be for all.

Even thieves are now displaying signs of SPORTMANSHIP grin grin grin grin grin

Dr. Ifeanyi Uba, what about the N13.4 billion subsidy you scammed Nigerians through CAPITAL OIL?

Nigerians will revisit some issues by the Grace of God, because many have died in the Hospitals, on our dilapidated and bad roads due to Corrupt practices like the Oil subsidy scandal and many others.

It is still fresh in our memory, about the guy that burnt himself due to poverty in Abuja last year. He might be sick to have taken that option, but we want a country where all of us can "breath" (the Poor, Rich, of all tribes and ethnicity, All Nigerians).

We thank God for Gen. Buhari, President Jonathan and Prof. Jega primarily for making us proud that from now on, the decision for governance lies with the people, as it should be in a sane country.

God Bless Nigeria.
May we never lose focus on our Year 2015 electoral decisions.
May God help the Leadership of the coming Administration to achieve many of Nigerians' expectations.
May the Sycophants not get them distracted.
May God deliver them (Those that will be saddled with affairs of Governance at all levels) from DEVILS we know and the EVILS unknown.

Amen!!! Amen!!! Amen!!!

I am happy for President Jonathan as a person that has gained back his freedom. All along I have and I am still believing that he was held hostage by the devils and corrupt people that surround him.

Enjoy your life with the little they have stolen for you and many they have looted for themselves in your name.

God be with you for not leaving Nigeria in tatter.

While appreciating God for these glory given to Nigeria
I commend the visionary role of our adorable JAGABAN
I salute the courageous President Jonathan
And Remain SAI BABA

for Progressive Nigeria.
