agnostic sometimes have a problem with taking decisions due to fear of commitment and responsibility |
suppose a guy proposes to a girl and she doesn't answer yes or no,how would you feel .she keeps saying I don't know whether I will marry you or not. guy keeps asking for fifty years, same reply. till they both get old and die .. she ended up not marrying him,and not giving him an answer . invariably, she said no to the proposals. not saying yes = saying no= failure to give positive answer |
life is about risk. if you don't take a choice, how will you go to Lagos car of life is moving .time doesn't wait as car remains stagnant,it's engine detoriates |
no body can prove God and no one can disprove god so both are wrong so I prefer not to choose. it is like traveling to Lagos and reaching a t junction. and not knowing whether to go left or right. atheist choose left while theist choose right agnostic prefer to remain in the middle not taking any decision. it may sound reasonable but . |
atheism makes a definite choice .it bets against god. it lives as if there is no god ..theism bets that there is God. agnostic prefer neutral.it tries to avoid choice. it wants to escape responsibility associated with choice and being committed to such choice |
an agnostic is one who avoids the question of god. avoid choosing yes or no, belief or unbelief..atheism or theism |
first and foremost,I am a Christian, a Catholic |
agnostic , come in. let's discuss |
KNOW YOU ARE RELIGIOUS WHEN : - 1. You have to face a certain direction to pray. My dear God is everywhere. 2. You have to speak another man's language in belief that that is the only way to communicate with the creator of all. My dear God understands Swahili, Efik, Hausa even Pidgin that has no dictionary. 3. You have to use some items given you and taught you to use by your so called religious leaders for prayers to the God that also created the man who doesn't use those things. Hmm, My dear, the greatest item ever created is you yes you cuz no man can create you but those thing were made by men.. 4. You believe it's your cleaning the church or mosque that cleans your heart and evangelism by carrying loud speakers to disturb people's peace in the 'early hours of the morning' or 'stressed hour of the evening' is the work of God. My dear you are just doing work for yourself and your own associates as those edifice called churches and mosques were built by men. The only edifice built by God is the world, nature and you. Ensure the betterment of either of those three thing or all and see if your blessings won't come. Your blessings will surely come cuz that's the only way to work for God as God's work is to make life better for man. 5. You have to learn praying in tongues. My people things of the spirit aren't learnt they are given as gift to the bearers and even the bearers won't be able to explain those gift to others but will use them for the benefit of self and others. Good Evening. # StupidlyMakingSen |
what about mum...can't they teach us these things too |
want my children to grow up to be ‘obedient’ adults, who give in to peer pressure, who are afraid to voice their opinion. Nor do I want them to grow up thinking that the way we interact with people younger than us is by coercion and control. Children are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. They can handle simple age appropriate explanations for things. They deserve reasons for our actions. I doubt I would be happy to do something I didn’t want to do if the only reason I was given was ‘because I said so’. I can extend the same courtesy to my children |
Disagreeing with me is ok. Big feelings are ok with me, and not something to be frustrated about. By reacting this way I am teaching them that no matter if someone is bigger, older, or more powerful, it’s ok to question or stand up for what you think is right. That you can also do this in a polite and respectful way. That often things still don’t go your way and how to deal with that. If instead I chose to enforce behaviour with punishment, never let them question me, or didn’t help them with their big emotions, then how would they learn to deal with these situations in the future? How would that effect our relationship? Would they feel valued, respected, and important? Or would they feel powerless? |
That your parenting should be judged on how well your children behave, how quiet they are, how obedient they appear. That somehow the tighter grip you have on them, the more you are able to influence them and they will turn into a respectable adult. And so ‘talking back’ is ok with me (as long as it’s not rudely). Asking me why they can’t do something is ok with me. Trying to negotiate with me is OK |
want obedient children If you heard someone described as obedient, what thoughts does it bring to mind? Someone with no mind of their own, who will do what you tell them, who won’t stand up for themselves. Oh no, that’s not what I’m aiming for, and so I do not want ‘obedient’ children. Children used to be expected to be ‘seen but not heard’, to never answer back, to do as their parents say for no other reason than ‘because I said so!’ Thankfully that has changed a bit, but it does seem to me that a lot of peoplearestill striving for obedience from their children. Or at least that a lot of people expect you to be. The mother in the shopping centre with a screaming child can expect glares and ‘control your child’ comments from passersby. As if children aren’t their own person but more like possessions to be controlled. |

guess the name of this chutvh .their analytical mind makes them analyse the Bible. They can be bibliantry. You can’t have any discussion with them without any reference to the bible.their ten year old member can win you in a biblical argument if you are not prepared. They take old testament too serious.they can be rigid on little laws while committing greater sins.this makes them look like hypocrites. They love law and order.their activities follow a definite routine.they do what they strongly believe is right. Their service could be really boring .they limit the use of musical instrument. Whenever a controversial issue arise, they seek for biblical interpretation before taking a Decision. Most times, their decision don’t align with the majority.they choose to stick with the minority and don’t mind loosing members.they are note likely to stick to biblical instruction on others they have zero tolerance to politics . Their top members are highly psychological. They use persuasive tips to convert one.they begin by agreeing with your perspective before gradually tuning you to theirs. They use love as a tool.they shower love to their members more than non members. They seek for members from broken homes and shower them with love while gradually converting him. They withdraw the love from erring members until such members complies Does this church sound familiar to y |
church (2) The church is an extension of their social life. They go to church to make friends. They love talk ing. They also love love being the center of attraction.they also love singing .they dance for god. Service is lively.there is no difference between wordly and chutchy song they preach what the people want to hear so members will like them.Everyone wants to prosper so the church leader preaches prosperity .they avoid controversial issues . they are poor disciplinarian.disciploning members would make members dislike them.they tend to bend time to accommodate more people. They are more concerned of the effect of a law on the people. You won’t be surprised to find a popular prostitute or smoker as a church usher.the church is for all kinds of people. Their leaders make good motivational speakers.the are special so no harm would come across then.sermon is more of personal stories often exaggerated to create a personal effect.their members also learn from their pastors by exaggerating their own testimonies. Ask then to repeat the same stories and notice a lot of inconsistency The rarely preach sin and law. Service ipraiseas members dance and sing to the lord.expect 3hrs of praise Did any church come to your |

Out of context, some of the language used regularly in church sounds more like it belongs in some sort of weird horror movie Some strange church sayings are direct quotes from the Bible, but to someone not familiar with the whole story of the Bible, they’re mind-boggling. For example, I understand the term “born again” is in the Bible, but maybe preachers should just take a moment to explain it? I mean, it’s not like you’re going to casually mention the seven-headed beast rising up to eat the newborn baby in Revelation, so why are we so casual with other confusing terms? Here are a few that kept me up at night and what I thought when I heard them: 1. The Lamb That Was Slain a young ram was killed and it is celebrated.why didnt the killer wait for the lamb to grow and be matured before kilin 2 washed in the blood h never knew blood was a cleansing agent more powerful than jik until i wemt to church. If my socks should get stainf with blood, wil i use amther blod to wash it! 3 HOLY GHOST the first time i heard of ghost was when watching scooby doo in cartoon network. i imagined ghost as scary beings. i never knew some were holy 4) born again self explanatory 5_) jesus is knocking at the door of your heart i never knew my heart had a door with a padlock. Kindly tell him the window is open.he can jump in 6) i am not of this world are you a witch- 7)the lambs book of life sn after killing the lamb,i would kidnap the book.that is unfai eat my body, drink my bloodsorry,i am not a vampire. Canibalism is a taboo in my vilage 9)guard your heart but my heart already has a door.if almighty jesus could not breaking, devil wont try so no nid wearin buletprof |
no need for introduction, straight to the point 1) i dont realy like the idea of going to church. I was forced to go as a child 2) the pastors are only after my tithe and offertor 3)i attend church on special occasion like easter and christma 4)people who go to church regularly are hypocrite.they think they are holier than other 5)they are so many difrent kind of churches that i cant decide which to go 6)i used to go to church before but it got so borin that i stopped. 7)none of my friends go to churc the weather is too cold for me to go to church 9)i will start going to church when i get olde 10) there is no time to go to church. |
