ZUBY77: If I were Cuba, I will sign an agreement with the United States and become one of the states.
First Cuba will start using US Dollars without the need to print it's own currency and waste money. Secondly the greater United States economy will seamlessly cover Cuba after a few months of proper integration.
This sovereignty grandstanding is not favoring Cuba especially when the bigger population is not living as they should. Nothing stops Cuba from developing like Florida. slavery mentality |

GanagiBitrus: 1. You mean a Despatcher delivered a phone to you & you made payment to someone else in his presence?
2. Didn't the Despatcher present payment details to you after you received the phone?
3. So what was he doing while you were making payment?
4. The Despatcher is supposed to deliver to the phone contact on the order. Didn't he suspect foul play that that phone contact was not you, but someone else linking him up to you?
5. Wasn't it odd to you that the Despatcher did not have your phone number?
6. Why didn't you demand for the Despatcher's number so it would be easier to link up with him? Instead someone else calling you & calling the Despatcher to link both of you up. How did you even identify the Despatcher who is supposed to be a stranger?
7.&Before making transfer in the presence of the Despatcher, didn't you ask him if he would receive sms alert to confirm payment?
Note: the normal procedure is 1. Despatcher arrives & calls you to come pick up your phone. 2. Both of you communicate over phone to meet at a designated place. 3. You collect the phone & check it out. All OK. 4. The Despatcher presents payment details. 5. You make payment. Finish Anything outside this, should alert you or the Despatcher of foul play. the lady sent account number already. We’ve been chatting. So I only insist I’ll check the phone and receipt before payment. Does that answer your questions? The fault was still with the rider but seems the girl was very smart or diabolical |

Crime › Re: Businessman Raises Alarm Over A New Scam In Town (video) by Tobest94: 8:23am On Jul 28, 2024 |
GanagiBitrus: I don't think it's easy to pull this scam. The delivery man has instructions & details of how payment will be made, which he will present to the Buyer after delivering the product.
Infact the scam is not possible. The SCAMMER must forward the BUYER'S phone number & address to the SELLER. Then the SELLER gives that info to the DESPATCHER.
&Before the SELLER sends the product, he must call the BUYER to confirm the order.
Once the SCAMMER calls for payment, the BUYER will immediately see it's a different number & person from the SELLER.
Abeg dis na cooked up story to trend on SM.
not cooked. It has happened to me before. I was the buyer. It was the person that ordered the phone that called the dispatch rider to release the phone to me. That one thought it was the seller that called. I ordered the phone from a seller who wasn’t the original seller, she also ordered it elsewhere and linked me up with the dispatch rider. I paid the girl thinking she was d seller and she called order to release phone to me. |

Food › Re: Nigerians Groan As Staple Foods Soar Beyond Reach by Tobest94: 8:37am On Jun 02, 2024 |
Kenochi: I read the article and there is a lot of truth in what was said,I will not bother to bore anybody with my analysis but rather speak on my suggestions to this rising food crises which if not tackled quickly can lead to unrest
I suggest the following measures to be adopted in the short term 1) Importation of food stuff (1 to 12 months) The Federal Government must open the borders for food to be brought in,staple food like rice, beans and wheat should be brought in quickly Also Vegetable Oil and possibly frozen chicken and fish should be have tariffs removed People need to eat and they don't care where it comes from
2) Middle term (1 to 18 months) The Federal Government should work with stakeholders including state governments, private sector and agricultural and aquaculture cooperatives to secure farmlands from non state actors like bandits and Herdsmen
Allow people to know that they are secured and that they would not be at the mercy of this criminals This will allow continous sowing and harvesting to be going on all year round
3) Long term This is where the States and Local Govt have a role to play, they must produce plans and roadmaps for their people The federal government cannot produce food,it is the job of the states and Local Govt,Land which is material in Agriculture is vested in the states and Local Govt. Let each state who are willing carve out arable land for interested participants, provide Infrastructure for the farmlands and approach the federal government for low interest rate Also, individuals should be encouraged to grow food in spaces available to them My mantra is Buy some, Grow some
People are getting fed up and the time for stories are over,we need an Operation Feed the people now you’ve said it all but they won’t do it because they want people to be suffering |

Politics › Re: How Much Are You Buying A Litre Of Petrol In Your Area? by Tobest94: 10:33pm On May 04, 2024 |
nairalanda1: Countries that have subsides pay for it with high tax rates, that if tinubu implemented them here in Nigeria, would make many of you take to the streets, and everyone will forget their tribal and political differences and be Nigerians that time.
Nigeria does not have money for any subsides. BY August 2022, we were spending 90% of our revenue on debt service. When tinubu removed subsidyin May 2023, that went down to 63% of our revenue, and since he has brought subsidy back, it';s probably rising again.
The subsidy he is even managing to pay is eating N1trillion monthly according to some people.
SO, either you pay half your income in tax to help fund subsidy, you and me and all Nigerians including the very poor....or we pay for subsidy, and fill the deficit with more loans and more loans.
Just because your friend's father bought the latest Playstation for your friend does not mean your father has the money to do likewise. what’s the minimum wage of those countries? You’re just saying trash to justify your corn 🌽 president |

ivandragon: The interesting thing is that this same bat said those who made subsidy unsustainable through thier economic sabotage approached him to take his cut but he refused.
The import of that is BAT knows the economic saboteurs, he knows how they have manipulated the system to benefit illegally from subsidy.
But he is too cowardly to face them. He rather suffer over 200m people by shifting the burden to them, than go after a few hundred economic terrorists.
The irony is that those economic saboteurs are still very much in play. God bless you for this. Is cutting of the head solution to headache? Why can’t he monitor subsidy strictly, prosecute those thieves rather than remove it and swallow d money? |

Zupay: Even if he had told her they are going to Ghana on holidays, she will certainly tell her friends here in the UK that she is going home with her dad for holidays. If she doesn't resume school the next term, that would be an issue, her friends will talk and social worker will knock at my colleague's door to explain the whereabout of the daughter. If e talk say she don start school for Ghana, not informing the UK school is a red flag as dem go even suspect say she carry the girl go do female circumcision for their village.. Police would be involved, there would be video call to the girl in Ghana and she go expose her papa and when dem go bring am come back him, she no go live with her parents again, na government get am. story story. All dis na just story. Nothing concern social worker once your daughter don reach Nigeria here. You’ve the right to decide where you want your child to school. Mention ten items which are local that we should buy more often to boost the power of the naira. you dey mind him. Local producers are very greedy people. If not why can’t cement be sold for 4k?
