Postedtrade: What are the chances of a newly qualified UK nurse 2025, with 8yr NHS experience moving to Australia for job? You only need 450hrs experience if you train in the UK to register with AHPRA…. With UK degree you don’t need to sit for any exams except for English exams. |

blackbriar: Honestly, Nigerian Medical professionals are missing on a goldmine by not migrating to Australia.
Your visa is secured, not tomorrow one new politician changes your visa requirement overnight.
Plus, the pay is blood money in the health sector in Australia.
Even British medical professionals are migrating to Australia. I believe one day they will open their eyes to see the opportunities they are missing out here. Those that are already here are balling big time making millions of dollars…. Some will say Australia is far to Nigeria but that same person wants to go to Canada. The time to travel to Nigeria from Canada is almost the same time from Australia(Melbourne) to Nigeria. The wage and lifestyle in Australia is so good. My only regret in life is that I wasted my time in the UK before moving out here.. I wish I had moved out here earlier. |

J984: Hi thanks. How have your experience being in AUS? Do you prefer working in the AUS wards compare to the NHS wards? Any plan to return to the UK?
I'm having second thoughts Uk nursing is so toxic and non supportive. Nursing out here in Australia is supportive and working in the ward out here is better. Return to the UK? Affliction shall never rise again! Australia is far ahead of the UK…. Life style here is better… Pay is okay, good place to raise kids if you have one, houses are spacious and beautiful compared to ancient houses you have in the UK. |

J984: Thanks. I am UK trained mental health nurse. I got a AUS 482visa but I'm thinking of just staying here in the UK due to housing crisis in AUS. I am a trained mental health nurse and I recently moved to Australia with some of my colleagues from the UK and I can categorically tell you house shortage in Australia isn’t real but artificial. For reference I got my house before arriving Australia and non of my colleagues have struggled to find a house to rent. It was even harder for me to secure a house to leave in the UK compared to Australia. |

Theodorice: Hello experts in the house, I want to go study nursing, I already have a B.Eng in Nigeria. My dream is to go study nursing abroad and have a better life for my self and my family. I've plans of bringing my family (wife and kids) to join me maybe after one year.
I've thought about Canada and Australia as options. Reading through some pages of travel sections on Canada I'm kinda getting worried with the rate of rejections after money and time spent, so, this is where I need advice.
Considering the cost of Canada or Australia, which other country can come in that will serve the same dream and but cheaper and easy with 95% assurance of granting a visa on a single try.
Please if you have any country in mind kindly suggest or drop your opinion. Studying in Australia is more expensive compared to Canada and there is a big age factor in getting admission. Once you are 35 you can’t get post study visa hence isn’t advisable for people in this age bracket to pursue Aussie admission except for PHD. I can help you with some hints… If your dream country is Australia you can go to the Uk to study Nursing for two years if you have a prior degree in any course then you can register with the nursing body in Australia and it is pretty easy for nurses to get work visa or PR in Oz. |

Babatundeh26: I am a registered nurse (Mental Health), obtained from Nigeria and currently practicing in Nigeria. I’m open to any route, be it study or PR. I just went to leave this country and make life better for myself and my family. You will have to go through the New Zealand route using the transmanian agreement of a thing to transfer the New Zealand license to Australia easily. For the New Zealand route you will have to complete the tests of competence (theory exam- NCLEX and clinical exam - OSCE) to become registered. I think the OSCE is only written in New Zealand and this will cost you some cash. If you can get the Australian nursing registration(AHPRA) getting a job won’t be a problem. |

I am currently practicing in the UK and had my nursing degree from there too. Where is your nursing degree from? Where are you practicing currently? With these information at hand I can tell you the pathways. |

The security won't stop you and if they did just tell them you are a returnee applicant and they will allow you to enter. Also, do start from the group floor. Just go to that woman and she will clear you to go for your biometric. Cheers thank you very for this piece of information. |

Any one has Knowledge In rescheduling appointment on the Nigerian immigration passport appointment website? Last time I went I was bounce back on the point of doing my biometric due to the fact of contradicting date of birth on my NIN which I have successfully corrected now but I am finding it difficult to reschedule my appointment as it brings out my previous appointment and says duplicate booking which shouldn’t to be so. Anyone experience such before? |

giselle237: Pay postal order addressed to High commission. 20 pounds at post office. Then If you want the passport to come to you and you wont return to the HC for pick up, buy 1st class or 2nd class envelope from post office addressed to you. Note- there’s one chief at HC doing the postal order, he’ll take 25 pounds instead of 20 you mean I am not going to pay any money apart from the £20 postal order ? |
