Bourne007:No! it depends on your school! Some schools summer starts from May. Some schools wouldn’t even be in session starting from June in Uk. For instance our summer break in Teesside University will commence from ending of MAY. |
NomzyJust:As far you graduated from May 2021 onwards you are qualified! It says anyone that graduated during the summer or after the summer of 2021 is qualify! |

Skymoore1004:mr know all! He only asked me how is Darlington campus. And I replied him to the best of my Knowledge. I am in Middlesbrough myself and I am giving him a first class information he isn’t paying me anything or gaining anything if he comes or didn’t come too Teesside University. So what is your headache about? I aren’t paid anything in giving out information to aspirants or either I expect to be paid. I have severally said it here, if you care to visit my previous posts! There are students Job readily available to do in Middlesbrough but less professional jobs. It a good city for a newbie in Uk because it is considerably cheap compared to other cities in Uk. Middlesbrough is the second cheapest city to leave in the United Kingdom. I have given out a formula my mentor told me before coming to Uk which worked for him and others that follow that path! Formula goes like this Plan to study in Uk Look for a good University Preferably let the location be in a cheap environment Save more save more when your work Start sending out your CVs If employed move out of the city |
Access2017:life is cool generally in Teesside! Darlington campus is new campus and it also lovely. |
missnigeria:it a general scholarship for all international applicants. For one to get the scholarship one must write up a literary piece of work. Winner would be picked randomly and awarded the scholarship. |
uche06:1.Tesside is a mid size town located in the north eastern part of England. Taking the coach to London from Middlesbrough is like 6hrs. Housing and cost of living is extremely cheap in Middlesbrough compared to other parts of UK and it is the Second cheapest city to leave in UK. The University is also a good one coupled with the moderate school fee and very nice payment plan. 2. Bournemouth is very close to London about 1:30 minutes there. Cost of living is extremely high compared to Middlesbrough. The University fee is also expensive but the University has an higher rating than Teesside University. 3. I don’t know much about southwales University because I have not been there before. On your course of study Project management is a very lucrative course because human beings must surely embark on projects and will surely need an expert to manage such projects. The course is an open course which I really admire it for being so. I think a Nairalander here Mikeer is a project manager in UK. MSc Psychology is a conversion course for those that didn’t do Psychology In their undergraduate. After doing such you can enroll into another MSC specialization In Psychology or advance into the doctoral degree In Psychology which will give you the opportunity to practice as a psychologist. Nevertheless with the conversion course you can only practice as an assistant psychologist. Psychology is also one of the courses in the skill shortage list. |
SyberKate:going for a course not accredited is like pouring water inside an empty basket. There is so so much time for you to still apply for different schools in Uk. Simply do a google search Universities in Uk click on the Wikipedia result and navigate through the various schools alphabetically, their website will also be listed there too. Please don’t be eager to come to England to study an unaccredited course. Nobody knows tomorrow. |
Skymoore1004:lol mention two monikers I have had troubles with here on nairaland? Just two person except for mikeer . You want me to notice you. You have gotten my attention now bravo! |
Skymoore1004:lol bro this account was open on 4th of April 2020. I wouldn’t talk much Shallom |
Pineberries:it is located in the north western part of England. Cost of living is moderately ok. You can get a shared apartment for like £300 a month inclusive of bills. The town is not that developed but it definitely lovely and serene. |
Pineberries:what do you need to know about the school? |
LaaJiblik:Lol being intelligent doesn’t make you brilliant! Read bro! Read bro! Readers are leaders! |
LaaJiblik:i have been ignoring your mentions! But till you know the discrepancies between being brilliant and Intelligent that’s when I will have the time to argue with you. I am entitled to my opinion and that’s my personal experience. Two person experience can’t be the same even identical twins. Kindly share your experience let others learn from you. Even if mi experience is flaw as jolly just come then share yours as the landlord of London. |
LaaJiblik:I am sure you didn’t study in Uk and parse if you studied you only met few professors in the course of your study. A professor in Nigeria is Usually not a professor in Uk! |
rs172:I am an African so I can not say for myself because saying positive of my continent In this sense will bring prejudice in. |

as far you have the certificate it is genuine and subsisting! |
Just feel like sharing my experience in Studying so far with you all! Yea my school officially resumed on 13th January and lectures were fixed to commence the following week. In my first day in lecture I was totally confused because the pattern of teaching I was used too From Nigeria wasn’t the pattern used here I believe you all know the pattern na! Where your lecturer will dictate notes for you and explain every bit for you if you have a good lecturer but amazingly here in Uk it is absolutely different! Lecturers doesn’t give notes! I was actually expecting the lecturer to give notes. The lecturers only come to class to give you an overview of what he or she uploaded in his or her lecture slides which could be found on your student portal. You are expected to read widely on your own, you are assigned a personal tutor for guidance and so forth. Things were really challenging for me owing to the fact I wasn’t used to this kind of digital teaching. Secondly Understanding the British accent is another challenging thing for me but gradually I started getting use to their way of speaking. So far so good these are the things I have noticed in Uk 1. Europeans are not brilliant but intelligent 2. Their way of teaching is absolutely different from Nigerian pattern of teaching 3. The Europeans make learning fun! We have like three-floor building in my school library. The first floor you are allowed to shout or do anything you wanna do while reading whilst the second floor is a quite zone! So you have the choice to choose where u wanna read: noisy zone or quite zone. In our library we also have beds to sleep lol! If you are tired you can jump on the bed and sleep! We also have pubs! 4. Respect is not seen in terms of sir or mar but in terms of politeness. I call my lecturers by their names 5. Professors are scarce! You will hardly meet a professor in Uk while doing your MSc unlike Nigeria 6. Asians are brilliant and intelligent 7. You don’t need to buy books while studying in Uk 8. You will get the marks you deserve! No bad belle lecturers. |
justwise:even all those ones aren’t needed like that since it is not spousal visa! The main thing is the wedding certificate, any other thing is Secondary! |
Mindlog:Bsc philosophy |
Anitaamich:what do u need to know! The area is close to London! And things are moderately cheap and lot of Africans there. Anything else? |
Mindlog:Psychology Not else classified |
uche06:i am currently studying psychology in Teesside University. It a one year program and psychology is among the shortage skills. I will urge you to go for Psychology because it is a course that’s diverse and doesn’t limit you to any field. |
mattfeuter:lol secure the bag |
Franklyn4:lol if they ask people that went to University to raise up their hands you too will join them to raise hands up? Lol Abeg No be National open University you go ![]() |
Skymoore1004:The fact still remain having merit for post graduate studies isn’t bad at all! If it was to be undergraduate studies you need aim far above |
Just thinking aloud! The negativity on this thread is absolutely lousy and it would make you believe that as a Student in UK you can not make it but that’s actually not the truth as it being portrayed out here. I noticed those false alarms are proportionally being bLoaned by those that haven’t flown out of Nigeria before. My advise to all prospective candidates is this don’t mind what people are saying about UK here. Make up your mind to achieve the best and surely you will achieve the best. I have been in UK for less than 5 months and UK has been predominantly good to me in all entity. Atleast I don’t struggle to pay my bills and feed myself as a week work can settle all my expenses for one month. I even have a car in UK as an international student despite people portraying having a car as a big deal in UK. Go for the best and the sky will be your limit. Tobexin |
Samopex05:marriage certificate is the sole proof needed. |
I said it! This country is a Joke. How can students be receiving lectures through NTA? Does that sound right? |

Lol Abeg No be National open University you go
