Hi

Seeking advise for a friend.  Upon arrival in uk he decided he does not want to study  a Msc in  Biochemistry anymore but would like to switch over to Nursing or social work.Is he allowed to change schools? How will this affect his Visa? Does he need approval from the university and does he need to notify the home office?

His wife and child were supoose to join him once he settles but he is thinking of putting that on hold till he knows were he stands.

He wants to start applying for September intake.

Thanks
No University would touch your friend. He has to meet the progression criteria. He needs to finish atleast his present course and graduated successfully before applying to study another course. In other to not be subjected to the progression rule he must leave the UK and reapply afresh from his home country.

you try sha but crypto would have given you more profit than this within that one week….. just trading bnb alone daily with £1000 will give you £100 within two or more days if you know how to buy! The only I can vouch for is BNB I too trust the coin! Crypto is going BSC way now!

From N730 to as high as N800 but it's a marketplace styled currency exchange where you state your rate and anyone who is ok with it, locks it in. See screenshot attached.
Most of those quotes are mere fictitious quotes! You click in trade and no one pays you.

Anyways my rate still remain highest in town N720 no commission! Would be launching my app soon and getting my FCA approval !

Hello everybody, please I need your help
My husband got a job with nhs and the hospital already sent him his cos to apply for visa but before then he applied for standard visit visa in October because he wanted to write an exam in the UK. Up until now ukvi hasn't returned his passport even after sending several mails telling them why he needs the passport and he is to resume his new job in Dec. Please what can we do to get the passport back
dont complicate issues! Apply get a new passport. The new passport will still show the old passport number! Life is easy! Declare the passport missing! I am sure it is missing that’s why you haven’t received it back. The home office won’t keep your passport for one year!

So, I said I was going to update the group on how it goes irrespective of the outcome.

As advised by a few people here, we wrote to the home office requesting for an exceptional assurance. We followed the approach suggested by tobexin and Contra5 and thank God, we have just received a notification granting our request.

We were given an extra 3 months until February 2022. This should be enough.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who took out time to respond with a possible solution.

Justwise, quite unlike what I had expected, your words were soothing and encouraging. Thank you very much.

Tobexin, the fire in your words were just all that I needed to gain some confidence in the approach. Like I said, I had been advised to go the route, but I wasn't confident in the outcome. Thank you plenty for taking it up like it was your trouble.

Contra5, you made it all make sense. It went just as you had commented. Your insight was the key that broke the lock. I really appreciate you. Thank you.

Lagosismyhome, Ma'am graceful as ever. I admire your online personality and can only imagine how wonderful you must be offline.

Dupyshoo, thank you for coming through. I appreciate.

Theguyfromhr, although I couldn't lawyer up, your interest was timely. Thank you.

Now, there were others who had absolutely no solution to offer, rather than keep shut and just pass, they chose to pass scathing remarks, and conjure wild insinuations.

While the remarks are confined to the gutters where they rightfully belong, it is the insinuations that are disturbing. Because, I can't imagine how a supposed educated adult can come up with "supposed factual statements" on issues they barely have the facts about.

I assume that the right approach would be to ask questions. But no! You chose instead to bask in your self-absorbed nature of sanctimony. Now, that's a problem we have on here. People are often quick to pass negative judgements on what they do not completely understand and by that, tilt the conversation or scare others who may have challenges that requires helpful inputs.

It is all shades of wrong. Yes, I concede no one owes anyone a comment but then I expect that adults would comport themselves as adults.

To you who may have a challenge but are to scared to speak up because of these ones, ignore them. These ones claim to know it all and are quick to state their thoughts no matter how wrong or how stupid it may sound. Ignore them.
one love bro! I don’t give false information …. I hardly come on here because we have some people that believe they know it all in Uk lol…. Congratulations

Hello everyone.

Please I need your help on an issue here.

Background Story.

BRP expires 11th November, 2021. But due to an extension request for project submission, project submission was extended to sometime in December.
Now the challenge is, Coventry Uni has changed student status to part-time from fulltime and we do not know what to do about not overstaying.

Because as it stands now, we cannot apply for the PSW as course is yet to be completed and yet do not know what steps to take to ensure that we continue to remain in the country legally.

We have sent several mails and visited the school but no sensible solution have been proffered. Everyone keeps acting like this is a novel case.

So please my people, has anyone experienced this or know someone who had and what was the workable solution. What does someone do when the visa expires but course is yet to be completed?

Abeg I would need all the input I can get.

Thanks in advance.

Justwise, lagosismyhome, Aprokodaugther and all the other seniors please your inputs are welcome.
do this as soon as possible!

send a mail to home office telling them you would like extension on your visa as you won’t be able to leave as a result of COVID 19. They usually extend for three months! Many guys have done this that were your in your situation and have used the opportunity to get their PSW.

Tobexin:
If you’re in the UK
You are expected to take all reasonable steps to leave the UK where it is possible to do so or apply to regularise your stay in the UK. You are allowed to access Visa and Immigration services as these are considered an essential public service. You must follow current COVID-19 rules for where you live, in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

If you intend to leave the UK to return to a country or territory but have not been able to do so and you have a visa, leave or ‘exceptional assurance’ that expires before 30 November 2021 you may request additional time to stay, known as ‘exceptional assurance’.

There may also be exceptional cases where you may be unable to return to a country or territory listed as green where that nation has closed their borders or where quarantine facilities are temporarily over-subscribed in which cases you may also request ‘exceptional assurance’.

Please submit your request for an ‘exceptional assurance’ by emailing cihassuranceteam@homeoffice.gov.uk with the following details:

full name
date of birth
nationality
Home Office, GWF or any other reference number
type of visa
expiry date of visa
reason for request
evidence of flight or evidence showing reason you can’t leave
The subject header of your email should read “Request for an assurance”..

Happy Sunday house, please I have a question for my visa application -- Do I need to have money in my personal bank account even with a sponsors?
The funds must be in your account or your parent account. So if your sponsor is your parent you don’t need to have money in your account.

Gurus in the house, kindly help me with this enquiry.

I have been bearing just 2 names in all my academic credentials right from primary School but my international passport have my 3 full names; will this discrepancy cause an issue while applying for visa? If yes, kindly advice me on what best to do just to avoid non straight-forward mails. I am running out of time already. Thanks.
Nothing is wrong with that. You still remain the same person. My certificate bears Two names and my passport bears three name and I am presently in Uk. There is no problem on that.

I have searched and contacted many (agents and landlords) via various websites I got here including the university accredited landlords. However, all have proven abortive.

I will appreciate it if anyone can guide me. Many thanks.

Every Side hustle can be a full time business. It’s just the mindset you use to approach it and dedication. I’ve seen a family run business doing this in the USA. Plenty bull dogs and there’s a waiting list to mate with their dogs Sef . I just can’t remember the handle. There’s actually serious money in it if you’re a dog lover and will take it seriously. Cause work dey am too.
Yes you are right…. Mating is even another hustle type in bull dogs rearing. If having two dogs can give me £70000 in 19months isn’t a cool business.

and also the cost of caring for the pups for 8weeks and vaccination. Also there is no assurance you will sell everything at 8weeks, so some of the pups will be your responsibility for the subsequent weeks. Dog rearing is a side hustle and not a main hustle
if you know your onions well you gonna sell it within 7 weeks. You need learn from those in the business… people are willing to pay fortune for it in Uk. Bull dog no they tale for ground. As far it is KC registered it is gold. Concerning vaccination your insurance policy covers it. It just £3000 u need for food and insurance alongside few of your time.

Abeg give the full gist , let’s also benefit , we are all in a virtual clique
lol….. this a very simple common sense biz for lovers of dogs.

Firstly get a dog friendly apartment then proceed to this website https://www.pets4homes.co.uk/ search for English bull dogs…. Carefully go through the features of the dog…. Only purchase the ones that are KC registered ( not cross breed and certified by the Kennel club). You could get a puppy of this type for £3000 or above…. Insure the dog with a vet which costs £40-£50 monthly and you get their feed which is £50, meaning basically in a month you spend £100 on each dog if you have more than one. The Dog will be fertile to give in at 18months and it delivers it puppies within 60 days, kindly mate with the same KC registered male British bull dog, depending on how lucky you are your dog could produce 6 to 12 puppies like my friend’s dog gave birth to 12, each of this puppy have been sold for £3000…. Kindly multiply 3000*12= £36000 on just one dog oooo let say he has three of same dogs u see he is in big money. Note he only spent £3000 for the 18 months including all miscellaneous with his precious time in nurturing the dog.

If you have a male British bull Dog KC registered bull dog just put them up for mating. You get paid £500 for this.

TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Tobexin(m): 3:41pm On Jun 24, 2021
Who knows that by owing three female British bull dogs one could be making £57000 every two years at minimum while owning a male one you could be making £2000 every week. Eyes need open for this Uk. Walk with the right clique and your eyes gonna get open to things you couldn’t comprehend that gives money.

Not like that for everybody, you know.
I had some before we japa and the same people taking care of them while I was in naija are still doing the job.
Let's say I was lucky.

Also depending on the parts of Nigeria you invested in.
not about where your real estate is located as I have properties in high brown areas in Lagos and Abuja…. The Nigeria economy is not conducive for real estate at all. I have properties I built when Naira to usd was $289 $330 respectively while at the result of the increment of the rate right now I told my tenants I would be increasing my rent they kept on yawning and groaning saying they can not afford the rent, I don’t blame them too cos their salary still remains the same . Your real estate investment don’t grow proportionally with exchange rate in Nigeria. It useless investing in properties in Nigeria.

Hi @thegurus

I am lost on what to do...

My husband and I have both studied and lived in the UK some years back before moving back to Nigeria 4 years ago before our visa expired. However, we are both coming back to the UK in September for his PhD studies while I come on as a dependent.

I do not know how to say this but I have to. During my stay, i took an unsecured loan and credit card loan from a UK bank and I didn't pay it off before I left the UK and I totally forgot about it while in Nigeria. i recently logged into my UK bank account this week and I saw the deficits. There was no official mail from the bank during the years I was in Nigeria so I wasn't in the know. Although i should have remembered that I didn't complete the payment so it's all my fault.

I tried to access my credit score and as expected, it has been impacted and I observed that the money has been passed off to a collection agency.

I would like to know if

1. I can contact the collection agency and find a way to pay off the deficits or have some kind of a structured repayment plan.

2. As my husband and I are both coming to the UK this September, can this affect us from securing accommodation in the future, especially when they do a credit check on our documents?

I would really appreciate your response and I do hope to be able to clean up this mess I created.
This is not a problem landlords or agency only does soft checks which don’t print that record out. Kindly pay your debt once you get to Uk. Cheers !
