The duplicate of the teller is given back to the customer to show the prove of payment. haven certified all these procedure then banks could be liable for such action. But in a situation whereby the customers are still on queue waiting to be attending to and robbers broken into the banking hall and carted away customers money while waiting, the banks can't be liable for such event.
