Hey whiizkid, i also went to Hopebay college in Alaba oro a.k.a ajegunle! What year did you finish? |
I am currently studying to be a doctor and i mentioned to my folks that i was planning on moving back home after i graduate! They laughed at me saying that i would never be able to pay off the loan i took out to go to med school not to talk about earning money for myself! I gotta admit, this was food for thought for me! I decided that it would just be plain dumb for me to go back to Nigeria to live permanently and since i had been blessed with citizenship here, i should make the best use of it. Who in his right mind would say no to a starting pay of $100,000 per annum just so they can go and be soaking garri in Nigeria! You mite but i wont! Yes, i shall visit home in 2010 and who knows when after then but i am have non plans on going home to live permanently! |
Hey whizkid, i went to hopebay college too. What campus did you attend and what year did you graduate? |
primary: Nazareth Nursery and Primary school secondary: Festac college/hopebay college tertiary: University of wisconsin-madison |
Ok wills, there are numerous nursing schools in the United Sates. Almost every four year university has a nursing program. You are suposed to fufill your undergraduate requiremets (usually 2yrs) then go to nursing school for another two years then thats it! However, since your friend already has a BSC in anatomy, she has to contact whichever school she decides to apply to and they are usually good with tellling you which credits they will accept and which ones they will not accept. If she has completed all the prerequisites and they are accepted, ONLY THEN can she be eligible to apply to nursing school! Then again, it differs from school to school. About medical schools that you asked me about, there are no CHEAP medical school honesly. They barely give scholarships to US citizens for med school not to talk about international students. If you do insist on applying for a scholarship, you have to have scored like one million on the entrance exam . The cost anyways is $30,000-40,000 a year for med school. In my opinion, these are some good scchools : Howard University ( nursing + medicne and this school is FULL of Nigerians and they are good with the visa stuff). University of Miami (nursing + medschool..........kind of expensive though) Mercer University (my friend goes there and i heaerd its alrite) University of wisconsinp- madison( my school but its pretty pricy but they have GREAT programs) Morgan State University (its a black school and my cousin is in their nursing program) University of Maryland-Colllege Park Anyways, i am not a specialist but i have tried my best. |

Ok, nursing is one of the qucikest ways to make money here. Quickest is not always the best but Africans dont care. They have already converted the amount they are going to make to naira and it is more than they ever dreamed they could be making! My parents or i should say my dad almost forced me to read nursing so i can start making 60,000 dollars a year straight out of college. I refused knowing i can quadriple that amount by becoming a doctor. Long story short, its all about the benjamins! |
I would like to just date people for the fun of it but what use is dating someone that you cannot picture yourself in the future with. Its kinda like going into a relationship thats doomed to fail! Who does that? Well, i dated this guy for a year but knew from day one that it was just for the "fun of it" but when i ended it, he was so broken physically and mentally that i vowed never to get myself into anything for the fun of it! I will only date people that have the qualities i would like in a husband.......................not saying that i would wanna get married to him......................he just has to have the potential! |
I can totally relate to you saying you hate your parents! Trust me, you do not hat them, you are just frustrated! For instance, last month my father annoyed me to the point that i deleted his phone numbers from my phone and totally ignored his phone calls because i "hated" him. I have however realized that the only reason his actions upset me so much is because i love him and that made me rethink my decision of isolating myself from him! Long story short, give it time...........and listen to all these wonderful pieces of advise you are getting! I hope everything woorks out for you. |
i totally agree with lexyflexy, answer the question or shut your piehole! Dont nobody care about your egotistical behind! |
I have to give the award to UNIBEN! That website is the s*** whoever is responsible, keep it up! My school website is www.wisc.edu |
I think covenant could be pretty expensive or cheap depending on what you are comparing it to. If i compare it to a schoo in the United states, it is dirt cheap. If i compare it also to private secondary schools in Nigeria like Vivian Fowler, Loyola Jesuit etc, it is also dirt cheap. It is only when it is compared to other public or state universities that it is considered expensive. My question now is that why is everybody complaining about covenant and not complaining about the outrageous prices of secondary schools all over Nigeria. I am astounded as to how much my youger brothers school fees cost but i cannot complain because inflation is growing faster than the advancement of the country therefore rendering the currency worthless. If a decent lunch at tantalizers cost me 750 naira then i cannot open my mouth to say that covenant is expensive! I am just bieng real here! |
