Congratulations 🎊 on your achievement and I want to tell you to never relent and keep going! |
I'm looking for folks that I can hack with on side projects. Do you have any idea or problem we can solve using technology then let's build it together. Maybe it even becomes a startup, that would be awesome 🔥. Tech stack doesn't matter but I'm more proficient on the backend side of things. I currently work with Ruby and Rails. I can also build with Python and Django. Let's just have fun hacking on stuff together and solving problems. |
I don't think you can find it in Nigeria but you can definitely get it on Amazon or ebay then use https://heroshe.com/ to ship it to Nigeria. I haven't used the company before but I hear they have a solid reputation going by reviews on twitter. iamdonricky: |
I want to get original Fifa23 for my Xbox series X. If you have how much are you selling |
The long awaited and acclaimed to be the most powerful handheld gaming PC has been officially released and now available for purchase. It goes for about $800. Only God know how much it be in naira with the current state of things. Will you be getting one for yourself? |

I have a code that I want to redeem for a month of game pass ultimate subscription. I know the process of redeeming it but the issue is that it is required to input your payment details (credit card 💳 or PayPal) to complete the process. Is there a way I can circumvent the addition of payment details? New Xbox owner (series X). Thanks for the help. Please honest people only. Thanks. |
Price? |
I had already planned to purchase the PS5 or Xbox series X but I decided otherwise at the moment. My reason been that I have read about experiences of some users on subreddits where they complained about the systems shutting down due to overheat during game play. Not the kinda thing you wanna experience after forking out a lot of money for a console. There are many videos and guides out there on how to deal with such issues but still doesn't make sense to me. I already have a PS4 and a switch Oled. Both have been running smoothly without issues Those that have any of these consoles can you share your experience with them so far. |
tolexreal7@gmail.com. I can't share my number here. We could exchange numbers if need be through mail. abiodunbright |
I'm based in aba. I will prefer a new one if you have it Michaelcas: |
I already have a PS4 and a Nintendo Switch OLED. This will be my first foray into the Xbox world. I would have gone for the series S but not having an optical drive is a deal breaker for me and that's because I don't want to be a slave to digital games subscriptions. Crafteck1: |
Who here sells a new Xbox series X and how much are you selling? I have been predominantly seeing offers for PS5 but I want is a series X Please scammers stay away! |
I'm not a UI guy but a good frontend guy can do it. It's essentially CSS animation with javascript. One can also take a peek into the source code through browser developer tools to see how it's built. |
I'm not even sure if there are any in Nigeria. Ruby used to be quite popular in the early to mid 2000s. These days it's quite nichy but it pays quite well. I feel in Nigeria it's mainly PHP and JavaScript. Of course there are those using other languages perhaps for hobby or side projects. tensazangetsu20: |
Do you all think the assertions of the survey in the linked article below is true? I saw it on r/programming subreddit and I thought I should share and learn the thoughts of other developers. I don't think Ruby pays the most in Nigeria. I think we have more of PHP, JavaScript and Python developers here and especially the first too. I'm a Ruby dev though and of course it pays good. Of course Ruby is among the top 5 paying technologies globally and that's based on stackoverflow's last 2 developers survey. https://codesubmit.io/blog/software-engineer-salary-by-country/ |

Thanks a lot. I will consider this option too. It's just recently that this frustrating delays started happening. wordsNOTswords: |
folks please help a fellow coder. how do you all receive your payments or salaries from international clients. at the moment i have been receiving mine through direct SWIFT transfer to my domiciliary bank account. usually it takes approximately 48 hours for the money to arrive my account but recently especially since the turn of the year it has taken an absurd length of time. the last one took 9 days. i am not comfortable with this and i am looking for alternatives. as a result i want to learn from the experience of others about ways and platforms they use for receiving their payments from international clients. |
It's been almost two weeks now and I'm yet to receive a SWIFT transfer made to my account (Access Bank) since precisely January 4th 2023. It's very strange because it has never happened before. I have been receiving money into the account consistently without issues and it usually takes about 48 hours. The sender confirmed to me that he sent the money and has commenced investigations from his own bank to ascertain what the issue might be. I have contacted Access bank through multiple calls and emails but they haven't provided any useful information other than saying I should get the telex copy, session ID or receipt of the transfer. I have provided them with details of the transfer based on what the sender sent to me. I intend to visit one of their branches to get better clarity. Please if you have had any similar experience kindly share how you resolved the issue. Thanks. |
Today again I witnessed how powerful the FOSS community is. most developers will appreciate this because without OSS we all would have been at the mercies of big tech companies (formerly FAANG but now MAANG). I mean these companies control the internet if not the world at large. WHAT HAPPENED? After work today I decided to chill by going to netnaija to download some movies to watch. I am a very privacy focused person so I use firefox or brave browser as my daily internet driver. I decided to use brave browser. when I clicked on the movie that I wanted to download I saw this: "If you do not see a download button, kindly turn off your ad-blocker or try another browser." I was like wtf!! because this has never happened before, then I switched to firefox and the same thing happened. Naturally, I should have used chrome since it obviously allows ads everywhere and all manner of scripts including malicious ones. with my little experience I decided to get to the root of the matter. I googled around and tried a lot of things to access the download but nothing worked. next thing I did was to go on reddit. Man!! reddit is an amazing place. any information you can't find on reddit you cannot find anywhere in the world. I stand to be corrected. here is the link to the discussion on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/xfti6t/comment/iop9gbw/ I also opened an issue on uBlock origin github repo and within an hour the issue was solved. quite impressive. https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/14868 I am always grateful for the OSS community and the great work developers keep doing by building tools, libraries, frameworks etc that even big tech companies cannot rival. I attribute a lot of my skill and career so far as a programmer to OSS. most of the tools if not all that I use are all open source and I hope I can author an exceptional library some day. |
I have been receiving my pay up until the one for February. I just checked my dashboard this morning and it showed "invalid account". I feel it's quite strange since I haven't had any issue receiving previous payments. ezenwaez: |
Same here too! I got mine today. Thank God. Entrepreneurrr: |
The latest update this week is that interswitch told me the money has been reversed from wema bank. According to them the reversal happened on March 31. They also told me that there have been a correspondence with access bank on the issue and that access bank is working towards returning the money to my account. From what I was told, it's the "settlement team" of access bank that handles cases like this. So far access bank has confirmed this but I don't know why it is taking them so long to return the money to my account. Yesterday I called access bank and they told me they are still working on it. For how long?? I was even told to submit a proof of the transaction and I did that by submitting the receipt of transaction. It's just tough and crazy the kind of things that happens in this country. I will advise that you keep communicating with all the parties involved. Don't be silent. If you're, your money will just go like that. They don't even give you updates on the issue until you contact them. It's just so poor. Your bank and the one interswitch generated for you are they the same?? (I.e gtb bank) Entrepreneurrr: |
The network is quite unstable and fluctuates a lot. Sometimes it can just go off for days. IamBabsjnr: |
There's nothing really special it's just what the company I work for uses as their remote code repository. Github and gitlab are just the same thing and serves the purpose serving code on the cloud and also for collaboration. For CI/CD on github you use github actions. Deicide: |
I don't think this will work here. I'm based in aba. I haven't seen or heard of their presence here. Thanks for your input all the same Itohan22: |
Please fellow software developers in the house what's the best Internet subscription plan that can serve efficiently monthly and also cost effective?? At the moment I subscribe to Airtel using mifi. I have observed that my data exhausts so fast. It's as if the thing is been "swallowed". Even 20 GB cannot last for two weeks. Two weeks estimation is even based on the fact I have to do mtn midnight plan to conserve data on airtel. I'm a backend dev who does a bit of DevOps too as I get to work a lot with docker and also doing CI/CD with gitlab. Abeg make una help me. Thanks for your suggestions and inputs. |
