Politics / Re: Let Boko Haram Have Their Own Country, Says Omoruyi by toks2009: 7:57pm On Jul 05, 2011
Quote from: ~Bluetooth on Today at 10:39:57 AM
when southerners kill,we pretend and improvise like nothing happened but when mallams kill, everybody begins to talk about secession. How is MEND different from Boko haram ?

What are they killing? cockroach or mosquitoes?

This is madness of the highest order.
Politics / Re: Letter To Boko Haram: This Is Great by toks2009: 12:49pm On Jul 02, 2011
Who is fooling who?

Is it not obvious that the principal reason these bombings are taking place and will go on is because we have a southern president?

If Buhari happens to be the head of state i bet we will not have any of this nonsense going on.

Lets open our eyes fellow citizens of a failed nation(Nigeria), until we go our seperate ways, there will never be peace in the land.

Let us split up for good and let northerners lead the north and let every body be on their own, this is the only way forward.

Anyway, whether we like it or not, president Goodluck might just be the last president we will have as one Nigeria.
Travel / Re: China Opens The World Longest Bridge by toks2009: 12:03pm On Jul 02, 2011
Many people are ignorant of the fact that China products are based on individual's specifications.

WE have made in China for south Africa,Made in China for USA,Made in china for UK AND YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT THE QUALITY OF THESE PRODUCTS AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THAT THEY ARE FROM CHINA.

So if you want the best quality, you can count on China and if you want the worst quality, they will give you what you want.

The unfortunate thing is that Nigerians usually opt for the lowest grade. Too bad.

Politics / Re: Juju Scare In Aso Rock! by toks2009: 4:48am On Jun 29, 2011
Its not about Juju from outside but its about the juju which seems to be emeshed in the foundation of Aso villa.

I'm begining to suspect that there may just be something wrong with the foundation of Aso villa. I believe if the seat of power is moved away from that aso rock,we will have productive presidents.

Since that Aso villa was built i have noticed that no president has ever gone in there and made a positive impact in the real sense so its not about JUju from outside but i believe that Juju resides in aso rock.

Thank GOD Abdusallam Abubarker's wife refused to move to Aso rock and that was why we had a hand over from military as she was seriously pressing her husband to hand over power, a  great woman of substance who was never intoxicated by power and was not influenced by Aso juju.

So in my opinion, the seat of power must be moved from Aso rock if we must have a productive president.

minto:

wherever this list originated from, I don't care. All I know is that the sun of progress, of prosperity etc shall rise again; for the sake of a few who genuinely love our country, NIGERIA.

From what i can see,you reside in Canada, Please come home and stay for just one year and i bet you will now that there is no hope for this country as one nation.totally hopeless.

lets break apart just as GOD has already made it by using river Niger and Benue. then and only then,we can have a headway.

Lets go back to the western/nothern and easthern region and you will be surprised at the rate at which we will develop.

My point is no hope for this country as long as we still practice fake federalism so lets wise up.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Is number 14 On The List Of World Failed States by toks2009: 8:27pm On Jun 21, 2011
We ought to be among first three by now.

Obviously this one Nigeria thing is not working. Boko haram gradually proliferating the entire country, massob has threatened to join and guess what,OPC will soon come on board if by mistake any casualty involving a yoruba man comes up in the north

Religion / Re: Speaking In Tongues In Present Day Churches by toks2009: 12:29pm On Jun 08, 2011
Let me explain in a lame man's understanding.

Speaking in togues in the real sense means speaking in different languages but the perculiar strange utterances heard in churches or uttered by christians who have this gift is basically a language that GOD only understands and ofcourse the devil does'nt.

So its like you speaking to your guard in a strange language that your enemy does not understand, you leave him/her confused.

So when we pray to GOD in a language the devil understand,he could play with our emotions but when we pray in an unknown language(tongue),he just gets confused thereby making our prayers more effective.

Secondly, we as christians don't really know wat to pray about but the tongue speaking usually helps us to pray right thereby going straight to the exact point.

Hope this explanations helps.
Politics / Re: Steps That Will Show Whether Jonathan Will Be An Effective And Efficient Leader by toks2009: 4:49pm On May 30, 2011
There is no steps that can show whether he will be effective or not but if after 4 years,we do not see a substantial improvement in the power sector, then he has failed woefully and PDP should go into extintion.

We voted for individuals and not for apolitical party and GOD really saved PDP this time around because but for GEJ as the presidential candidate, even a mad man will not vote in PDP.

So the only man who can bail out PDP is GEJ so he should deliver to the people otherwise,, Anyway,4 years is just around the corner

Echala:

@toks2009 - GEJ paid tribute to the slain corpers during his inauguration speech.

PROTOCOL
1. My Dear Compatriots, I stand in humble gratitude to you, this day, having just sworn to the oath of office as President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of our great nation.
2. I thank you all, fellow citizens, for the trust and confidence, which you have demonstrated through the power of your vote. I want to assure you, that I will do my utmost at all times, to continue to deserve your trust.
3. I would like to specially acknowledge the presence in our midst today, of Brother Heads of State and Government, who have come to share this joyous moment with us. Your Excellencies, I thank you for your solidarity. I also wish to express my gratitude, to the Representatives of Heads of State and Government who are here with us. My appreciation also goes to the chairperson of the African Union and other world leaders, our development partners, and all our distinguished guests.
4. I want to specially thank all Nigerians for staying the course in our collective commitment to build a democratic nation. To members of the PDP family and members of other political parties, who have demonstrated faith in our democratic enterprise, I salute you.
5. At this juncture, let me acknowledge and salute my friend and brother, Vice-President Namadi Sambo; and my dear wife, Patience, who has been a strong pillar of support.
6. I thank her for galvanizing and mobilizing Nigerian women for the cause of democracy. In the same vein, I owe a debt of gratitude to my mother and late father. I cannot thank them enough.
7. I cannot but paytribute to our late President, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, with whom we won the Presidential election four years ago, when I contested as his running mate. May God bless his soul.
8. I also wish to pay tribute to our founding fathers, whose enduring sacrifices and abiding faith in the unity and greatness of our country, laid the foundation for the nation. We take enormous pride in their contributions. The pivotal task of this generation is to lift our fatherland to the summit of greatness

I watched it and i can't remember him observing a minute silence for the slain corpers like BRF did except i missed that part and i strongly believe that acknowledgement of the sacrifice of these corpers should come before number 5.
Politics / Re: Fashola Inauguration And Swearing In Pics And Speech. Eko O Ni Baje Round 2. by toks2009: 1:29pm On May 30, 2011
I Heard in the news that Gov Fashola observed 1 minute silence for the slain corpers.

WOW! how patriotic,i was expecting that from GEJ and i don't want to believe he was trying not to bring up the issue as a result of foreign dignatries present because its what they all know so the best he would have done was to observe a minute silence for young promising Nigerians who were slain in order for him to become the head of state.

What a shame.

Business / Re: Forex Traders: Lets Share Our Experience by toks2009: 6:32pm On Apr 23, 2011
This is my opinion guys, Avoid trading forex manually. If you have a good trading method, please develop it into an EA and let it trade for you using your own trading method.

Trading forex manually is very dangerous because you tend to disregard your own trading rules.

This is my candid advice to you all.

Incase you are wondering why i am writing this, then i must let you understand that i am very very vast in forex trading but i have come to understand this fact and the earlier you understand this the better for you.

And for new comers, please before you pay anyone for training, please ask him/her to give you 10 trade signals with tp not less than 20pips and if 5 out of the ten comes out positive, please pay him for the training.

STOP WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEy TRADING FX MANUALLY,YOU WILL ONLY WASTE YOUR TIME AND RENDER YOURSELF UNPRODUCTIVE AS YOU WILL END UP SPENDING HOURS IN FRONT OF YOUR CHART AND YET RECORD LOSSES AFTER LOSSES.

Just simply put your trading strategy into an EA then pay for a hosting service(VPS) where there is no power failure,no internet disconnection and let your trade run automatically without any involvement from your end.

Look for another business or a decent job while trading fx on part time.

BE warned!

sorry friend, i only searched for reference just for you to understand me and not to find out if i was write or wrong.

Nevertheless, whether monarchy or democracy, all are still under political leadership and this is what i want you to understand but if you purposely choose to disregard this, i'm sure you will agree that GOD has a great role and infact influences the outcome of leadership in every facet of life.

so lets drop this unwarranted notion of trying to see who is write or wrong and get the fact straight.

BAKARE HAS NOT DONE WRONG IN ANYWAY. chris okotie tried and failed and you can do your research and you will find out that many men of GOD all over the world have indulged in politics.

We seem to forget that men of God too marry, cater for their children, pay school fees, medical, electricity and water bills, buy from the same market and face the same dangers we all face like armed robbery and carnage on our roads.

Should they therefore look on indifferently as things go from bad to worse?  In short, are we asking them to sit on the fence in the face of looming doom?

These men of God must speak out on issues because unlike the politicians who promise to build bridges where there are no rivers, when the men of God speak, we listen and obey.

Desmond Tutu is an Anglican Bishop who joined forces to bring down Apartheid in South Africa.  In fact, among those candidates who vied for the position of president of South Africa after attaining independence, Desmond, as he is affectionately called by his admirers, threw his weight behind Madiba Nelson Mandela.

Until he retired, the man has been in the forefront of politics in South Africa, advising ministers and statesmen as to how to move South Africa forward.  No one in South Africa ever said that as a man of God he should not dabble in politics.

If the dream of Reverend   Martin Luther King has come to pass in this twenty first century with Obama becoming the first black American President, it was because King used the pulpit to preach politics and Black Power for that matter.

Similarly, Reverend Jessy Jackson used his PUSH organization to do politics and even went further to stake his interest in one of the primaries organized by the Democrats in the United States of America.  Who says men of God do not do politics?

The Lord Jesus Christ himself was a physician, a philosopher, a teacher, a preacher man and a politician par excellence.
That was the more reason why the Pharisees did not see eye to eye with him.  When at a point in time his political adversaries wanted to trap him, he was shown a coin bearing the logo of Caesar and asked whom they should pay tax to.

Answering the question, the Lord Jesus Christ told them to “give to Caesar what belonged to Caesar and to God what belonged to God”.  If He had been a writer, that simple statement would have been His Magnum Opus.

Please let Bakare be.

^^^^^you still dont want to understand. That was why i said "go back to school" so that you can grasp the full distinction between monarchical leadership vs political leadership and the role of God as it pertains in the bible. since you refuse to then wallow in your ignorance.

Imagine o my fellow nairalanders, this friend of mine was quick to tell me to go back to school when in actual sense, that statement should be directed to himself.

please tell me, what is monarchial leadership and political leadership?

They are both political leadership. In political leadership. we have various types.monarchy/democracy/oligarchy and more.

please enlighten yourself and visit this link.

Hmmm, Nairalanders and their immature dispositions to posting coments.

What has going back to school got to do with this. You people should really learn decorum in posting in a public forum such as this.

Nevertheless,i will pretend i never saw that but one fact i want you to know that in those days, what was in vogue was monarchy and therefore we should expect kings to be installed and not the term president but if it was to be at this age, these kings would be regarded as head of states so im not far from the point im making.

Furthermore,if you believe GOD can install a king then why not presidents?

My brother,i have made my point and its unfortunate you are taking it out of contest.
Politics / Re: Breaking News: Pst. Bakare's House On Fire by toks2009: 4:25pm On Apr 23, 2011
There was nothing bad in Bakare opting for VP alongside Buhari and i'm very sure he did that due to the passion he had for a change in Nigeria.

But unfortunately, things turned out this way and i know he will be regretting right now,not because CPC lost but the crazy aftermath of the election.

I know Bakare, he is a man of integrity, there was nothing and i mean absolutely nothing wrong running for a political seat.

And for the ignorants, please understand that GOD has a hand in politics,he installs kings and for your information, Christ is coming back to rule the whole world for a thousand years and please i don't want any arguement to come out of this statement, this is what the book of revelations made me believe and if your religion or doctrine does not support this,i quite understand.

So please, there was no sin in Bakare opting for politics but as i wrote,he will be very sober for the post election killings and destructive acts in the north.

Abeg let him be.
