Bubs Marwa should get his facts right.....the north is the epicenter of drugs Im Nigeria.....the day I visited sokoto for the first time,I enquired where I can get some beer to chill and I was directed to mammy market at the military barracks.....omo getting there I saw many chemist shops painted with different brands of regular drugs and I was wondering why there were so many chemist stores there......it was later I realized how much illegal drugs were being peddled in those shops......even me drinking just beer com be like Jew man.....menh it was crazy.

Just the highlighted.

Everybody knows Nigeria was formed on a tripod...The north, the west and the east..

Would you honestly say the east has been fairly treated like the west and the north..?..and these is for decades....

Take a look at the rail system, the north, Kaduna to Abuja and the West...Lagos to Ibadan...this is huge....

Why not Enugu to Port Harcourt to even and spread the infrastructure?

Nope...instead the FG is extended it from Kano to Niger republic...

You professional advises are even the problem.

Do the right and you will have nothing to advise on, fella.

Quite frankly your points are somewhat salient and I agree they are way deeper but I still ask if taking up arms is the solution?

Who says it is the right thing to do?

Why do professional advisers only good on the SE affairs?

Why don't you look at the root cause of the crisis?

Did the crisis just started?

These are how intelligent people look at issues and not just on what happened.

Even if this is stopped now and the root cause is not resolved, how are you advisers sure another group will not start another round of crisis?

What is the problems the igbo masses are facing that other tribes in Nigeria are not?

We all have a common problem which is insincerity of our leaders...... there's already silent revolution going on the country and majority are becoming more knowledgeable and politically conscious, majority even in the north are already being averse to the way the country is being run.

Our root problem is the setup and configuration of the country,it needs to be restructured and we can seek a political solution to this problem.

You can chanel all this energy into politically galvanizing your people on the next step to take for the future.

If Nigeria has chosen a good road wouldn't they have arrived at the right place by now...almost 100 years after amalgamation.

You guys love preaching to others as if you are better.

Which obstinacy of the igbos..?

Where have you slow hypocrite written about the obstinacy of the Fulani killers that have sent some of you to IDP camp in Benin republic?

Tola, if not for Lagos being the former capital with massive investments, which state in the SW can compare with the states in SE, even after 3 years of civil war.

Why not take this your preaching to the FG?

So in your supposed rightfully thinking head you think what is happening in SE is the right thing..... violence only begets more violence and it's the masses that will suffer.

Anyone who wouldn't give room for contrary opinion is obstinate which you depict precisely.....I have chatted with a lot of people from the east accross board and I can tell you as an impartial observer that this militant approach is not the right thing to do.

The man lied of course, but assuming he said the truth, it is a badge of honor to say that Igbo turn money into more money.
That is exactly what the Jews do, and they rule the world for it. They own countries and tell them how to mine their minerals.
Turning money into more money is the only thing a nation needs to thrive and become great.
Without knowing how to make more money, a country remains a third world backward country regardless of whatever natural resource it has.
Some call it the resource curse.
Next!

Is that the essence of the message? You only chose to massage your ego with the compliment which we all appreciate the igbo for no doubt but the truth and compelling message he gave on the obstinacy of the igbos will lead to nothing but tears and gnashing of teeth....you chose to ignore.......no matter how far you go on a wrong road, you can never arrive at the right place

If they can't run it they should park well jo.....it's headed by a Tinubu so am not surprised there incompetence is tolerated

Despite the fact that she foisted another man's kid on Nedu, it's just wrong to hand her kids to another woman. Of cos, she did wrong, but to take away her kids..a big no no.

Don't you know she is liable to pay damages if nedu decides to sue!! And if her inability to cater for the children can be established, the kids can be given to there father.......I will advise her to just move on and leave the kids probably travel abroad and start a new life and be praying to God for forgiveness and to soften her ex's heart and the children towards her

She will lose either ways even if she wins custody of the kids because her integrity has been destroyed and the kids will know what happened and will never be happy with their mother......ladies need to be extremely careful cos that 5 mins fun can destroy your life forever.

Sorry about your ordeal!! Your own story sounds more believable and it was a robbery case aka one chance and not a kidnapp as people always claim......this is very rampant in Lagos.

Pls avoid leaving home too early in the morning and stop hitch hiking random private cars, better go to the garage or order Uber.....if you can't afford it you can find people you can commute with and you can all share the cost...you will end up spending about same you are currently spending on transportation

The Tola1006 of a man sounds like he has been brutally damaged with Nigeria's problems. You need to go through his comments on this thread where he prays for the situation to get better (as if that has worked elsewhere), doubts the narrative of the victim's brother and just rant aimlessly and stupidly. That's the end result of being a mumu in the world's poverty capital. He's a mentally deranged fvcktard!

Your deluded mind of course isn't funtional enough to let u understand the developmental stages of a state...taking into cognisance the peculiarity of our situation.

Rather than rant and complain, running away won't solve the problem either.... nothing is permanent in life and the only constant is change and the moment you realize this the better for you.

Crime is everywhere, El Salvador with a popation lesser than ours has more homicide cases than Nigeria, you are most likely to be robbed or raped South Africa than in Nigeria, you stand a higher chance of being a drug addict in Brazil than Nigeria where even an old man has never seen crack his whole life, Japan has the highest suicide rate in the world and the most bizarre justice system. I bet you aren't educated enough to understand the world as live in and it's dynamics.

Nigeria isn't the worst place to live in we need to strive to make it better.

What if they were going to kill you anyway! You never know..what if they are ritualist and they don't even intend taking money. I will rather have that in my pocket than nothing...

Bros!! What if they just want to take what they want and leave you without harming you, what if they are just hungry and need something......your best line of defense is to co operate with them and keep a level head to think your way out of the situation and being calm really helps

Many people have been victims stabbings and shootings just because they proved stubborn.....sometimes a conversation can get you out of some mess and better still luck rather than your pepper spray....it's only useful on lone attackers

Don't you think his brother's state of mind could affect the narrative, could it also be the narrator is not conversant with Lagos and just narrated as told. Could it also be the "one chance" criminals has upped their games to kidnaping? We are gradually getting to the level that we all will need paid vigilantes if we must work.

That's why I said the story isn't right.....an intelligent reader will know that story is nonsense!!

A former senator's son was killed in Kaduna.

These things happen every now and then, because it has not happened to you doesn't invalidate the other person's story.

I totally agree with you, however my problem is the way Nigerians latch on to the slightest reason to lampoon the government and point fingers as if we can be absolved of the problem..... every body just blames without proffering solutions.

This is a regular occurrence around U turn, Awori, Abule Egba bus stop. Same Seinna, same 5 men gang. At U turn bus stop, over 10 cases that we have heard of. If you don't have money in your account, you will be asked to call and ask for transfer, otherwise they will threaten to kill you. They usually drop them off around Olaniyi or Ekoro road after they would have been seriously brutalized within that short distance.

Some were arrested sometime past with same

You will meet four in the Seinna already at U turn, then the 5th will join at Awori pretending to be passenger. This usually occur between 5am - 5:30am. The most recent occurred just last week Wednesday. Each case reports to the Police and the police can see the identical pattern, still, nothing has been done or their effort hasn't yielded result so far.

some were arrested not too long ago doing same sienna operation in that same axis you mentioned, but what became of them I know not

What made it hogwash I ask. Even when other forum members narrated similar experiences, you and your ilk will still find a way to discredit to it. Truth is that due to extreme poverty in Nigeria currently, there's being an increase in crime rate with the stupid slogan: any way is a way.

There is unprecedented insecurity in the land.I am not a stoicist in anyway ,I agree but we do not need falacies or half truths to paint our situation as hapless or the worst in the world.....the OP refused to give proper details on what happened....one chance robberies and kidnappings are not same....this for me makes the story unbelievable and the poster just made it up.....I dwell on facts

This shiit happened to a friend last month. She alongside another babe boarded a Siena from Iyana Oworo in Lagos going to VI but this men took a detour to Oshodi Apapa road then to Ikorodu road. All this while, the were beating her and threatening to rape her while taking stuff from her bag. Thankfully, she looked like a student and had her Unilag post-grad student ID in her bag but they couldn't tell the difference. They took her phone, jewelries, money and every small thing they could lay their hands on. They finally put Aboniki in her eyes and let her go.

The other babe wasnt so lucky. She looked like a professional and continued to get beaten and taken off after my friend was dropped off. We dont know what became of her. As for my friend, she was incapacitated for 2 days and became afraid to take public transports to work. Wicked people!

We need to be security concious, early mornings are equally as dangerous as night,do not board just any vehicle you you see on the early mornings especially and possibly have someone you can be commuting together in your area,if possible, stay indoors till the day is clear
