3 Then, men's infidelity was never a reason for divorce. Men could go on polygamy and marry as many wife as possible. Whereas, any male partner caught with any act of infidelity, the outcome is going to be separation/divorce suite from the partner.

Lastly, there were battery cases on women then, those sometimes weren't leading to separation, unlike these days where women want equality (I'm not against that though). Any hand raised against any woman is an issue to warrant divorce.
