Explorers:
USA 94, Olympic 96 or France 98 we saw the matches like this. With Fluorescent bulb antenna or the iron antenna, OSRC linking up with NTA and we're good to go. You will only see this setting or formation in a house with a standby generator, may be 2 or 3 generators in the whole street of almost 100 houses then.
You forgot the man on standby to tune the fluorescent bulb antenna when there is no clear signal received by the antenna!
Sports › Re: Do You Remember/Enjoy Watching Football On Television Like This Then? by Tolexander: 2:44pm On Jul 10, 2016
I remember this Sharp color TV!

We did watch like this anytime Super Eagles was having match then.

If one preferred sitting to watch the match, one would come with chair from home. Only one TV can serve a whole street.

Thank God for viewing centers now.

Dr Omololu Olunloyo should not have gone to the church alone, he should have bundled his daughter, Kemi Olunloyo to the church to see Pastor Adeboye for deliverance.

The comment by two guys caught my attention

One said:

The student union was a tyrant organisation, they constantly bullied and harassed students. we were all scared of them, they were real terrors, thats y when the massacre happened nobody was willing to help or support them. when they arrested the said cultists, they were beaten to a pulp, they split someone's head open with a baton and really bloodied the rest.thats one of the reasons the court cld not prosecute the said cultists because they were beaten to an inch of their lives therefore any confession taken from them was judged to be coerced.

And this guy:

Africa's death was a conspiracy case and neither the Vice Chancellor nor the Students Union President [Speaking here] was a saint in this incident.
Christianity Etc › Re: Jide Macaulay: "I Regret Not Knowing I Was Gay Before I Got Married" by Tolexander: 1:21pm On Jul 10, 2016
I am not ashamed to be gay, [b]I regret not knowing better before I got married to a woman in 1991, thank God I was divorced by 1994.[b] There are many millions of stories only if we pay attention.
It seems the Pastor could not perform the masculine sexual activity with his pen¡s. Probably that is the reason his wife divorced him. He seems to have taken solace in sodomy to enjoy sex, hence the reason why he feels he wasn't born to be straight.
Christianity Etc › Re: You Give Millions In Church And Share Pamphlets On Evangelism..picture by Tolexander: 12:13pm On Jul 10, 2016
Even Jesus Christ while he was preaching the gospel to the multitude gave out food(loaves and fishes) when he discovered they were hungry.

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God" - Matt 4:4
Bread(food) + the Word of God gives life.
When you give the Word of God to the needy, endeavor to give them food or money for food.

The truth is, Igbo guys are domineering, and they have the tendency to be violent. They have this crude mentality of women being totally submissive to a man, the slave-like submission and I hate it.

Politics › Re: PDP Leaders Beg Ooni To Forgive, Help Omisore by Tolexander: 11:43am On Jul 10, 2016
A statement by the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace, Mr. Moses Olafare, which was posted on the Facebook page of the palace on Saturday, said state chairman of the party, during the visit to the Ooni, apologised on behalf of the detained ex-governor who had not visited the king since he was crowned seven months ago.
lol

The same Ooni many of the PDP members in Ile Ife do not recognise and regard is the same being they decided running to for salvation.

Typical of human anyway, recognizes the existence of God when in problem.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Wise To Pay Tithe From Monthly Pension? by Tolexander: 8:22am On Jul 10, 2016
thaikun15:
My belief is that pension is part of your salary being kept aside for you in case of retirement and tithe is already being paid from this salary. Some people still pay tithe from this pension. My question is, Is it wise or more importantly ,Is it biblical?
I don't believe pension is actually an income.
Yours opinions please.
Tithe is the 10% of your earning!

When you were being paid your salary when you were working, for a faithful tither, you only deducted the tithe based on the calculation on the money you earned only. You didn't calculate based on Total amount of the salary (ie the amount earned + the amount being deducted for pension)

If you had paid your tithe using the latter calculation, 10% of the salary earned + amount kept for pension), then you may not pay Tithe again cos you had already done that.

Must have been a sudden cardiac arrest, where are the first aiders? He probably didn't die immediately but fell unconscious and passed away due to absence of immediate medical attention.

May his soul rest in peace, and may we all begin to take first aid seriously in Nigeria.
The first aiders are the ones snapping the man when they are meant to give first aid treatment or help him to the nearest hospital. angry

This can only happen in Buhari regime, there's hunger everywhere
that is not hunger but love!

The dog didn't see the billy as not its and not belonging to its specie(tribe) but decided to leave the billy to take a little from its abundance(milk) to live and survive.

The billy was so comfortable sucking the dog's breast(one can observe it raising one hind leg) without fear of been bitten by the dog.

That is love

Crime › Re: Nigerian Prison Where Inmates Pay Between N30k To N100k To Use phones & ipad by Tolexander:
The Warders are more corrupt than the police officers we see everyday!

The headache before I left was that every week, cells were made to contribute N1,300 which they use to purchase diesel for generator. The generator was bought by an ex-inmate who was released two months ago. “He gave them money to buy diesel for a year but unknown to the donor, we were being extorted.
The prison alumnus really tried for the prison donating generator and money for diesel for a whole year.

If other powerful prison alumni like Obasanjo, Bode George et al could emulate this man, our prisons would have been better than this.
