OrlandoOwoh: No, all schools were closed. That was why Saburi challenged PDP for claiming it got 30,000 votes from the University. Saburi was later arrested and taken to Ilesha Prison.all schools were closed as a result of ASUU strike. But OAU was on a struggle for the lecture free week from the 26th of february, 2007. The school was closed on the 28th of february, 2007. ASUU strike met OAU at home. Had the student union of OAU collected anything from PDP before the election, how would it be very possible for Akinola Saburi to witness against them in the tribunal in Osogbo on the 30,000 votes accounted for OAU? |
OrlandoOwoh: I don't see anything wrong in the Students' Union executive members accepting the gift. The fear of those against it who claim Omisore intends using it to lure the students have been defeated because OAU is not in session.were OAU students on session for the 14th of April, 2007 election? |
OrlandoOwoh: Was it after he gave a 100,000 naira cash to a student of Dramatic Arts student (Jasper) when the helicopter conveying him (Omisore) landed in the sports complex?Omisore had been declared persona non grata before that time base on the outcome of the April, 2007 election and the tribunal, (bola ige murder saga inclusive, though i'm not sure) where Akinola Saburi, the then 'suspended' President was arrested and detained when he appeared as a witness at the tribunal. Jasper was already a graduate that time and went on his own on behalf of the OAU student union to collect that #100,000. He contested the post of the welfare director but was defeated by Lampard in the election that ushered in Divaino's administration. I heard he was punished anyway but not sure. The helicopter belonged to Omisore but heard he wasn't in the helicopter and was still coming by road into the school. He had to go back and the helicopter immediately flown away from the sport complex when chaos was already inevitable if it wasn't taken away. That time, Osun was already preparing for the supposed 2011 gubernatorial election in 2010 before being marred by the outcome of the Appeal court. |
To start with, has the persona non grata on Senator Iyiola Omisore by OAU students union been lifted? I'm not saying they shouldn't collect anything from the politicians. It shouldn't be from electoral aspirant. They should have waited till after the election before recieving anything. That gift is enough to compromise the stand of the students(SUG). |
Solowande: NO, u are wrong again. Delaware was nt d 1st state to ratify, it was the 12th state to ratify. the first state was Virginia in 1777you are confusing the ratification of articles of confederation with the constitution. Delaware first ratified the constitution followed by Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina and Rhode Island respectively. The constitution is what US stands on and not the articles of confederation. |
Solowande: NO, their tenures were after the formal ratification of the 13 state. Remember the complete ratification by all 13 state was completed on feb 2nd 1781.there is a difference between the ratification of the articles of confederation and constitution. The articles of confederation was completed in 1781 while the constitution convention started in May, 1787 having 41 delegates from 12 states. Presided over by George Washington. After which the constitution was signed and adopted on the 17th of September of that year by 38 delegates. The ratification of the constitution brings about stronger union than the articles of confederation giving the congress the power to task the states for money for the federal function and also the formation of electoral college by delegates from the states. |

Seems the police shot the cat intending to eat the cat, the owner came to the police station and the police charged him for transfiguration. ![]() E fit happen like that o. |
This news na real comedy aswear! A police man arresting a cat running across his station? Seems there aren't criminal in the community hence the reason for arresting animals committing crime. Since when has it become the responsibility of the police to arrest witch? |

Solowande: 1776! Are u sure of dis? to my best knowledge, washington was elected in 1789.Washington was actually unanimously elected in 1789. |
OrlandoOwoh: George Washington was elected President immediately after the constitution was drawn in Philadelphia in 1776. As at the period you are looking at, the 13 original colonies of the US were still under Britain.no! You seem to be talking about the declaration of independence. The constitution conference started at the constitution house in Philadelphia in May, 1787. After the constitution had been signed and adopted on the 17th of September, 1787, it was required that the constitution would only take effect if it was ratified by 9 states out of the 13 states in which Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusett, Maryland, South Carolina and New Hampshire respectively ratified. |
anonimi: Kindly note that education (primary, VOCATIONAL, secondary & TECHNICAL schools) and health (primary health clinic & general hospitals as well as sanitation/hygiene) are MAINLY the constitutional responsibility of states & LGAs when it comes to DIRECT delivery.actually, the guy was refering to the federal portfolio. |
Solowande: As For John Hanson, he was the first president to serve after the full ratification of the Articles Of Confederationya right! There were like 6 other predecessors before him but before the ratification of the article of confederation. |
Sincere9gerian: If only you can look with both eyes and without prejudice, you'll see other working ministers/appointees of the govt.if only you took your time to read my post and tried laying your hands on dictionary to check out the meaning of transformation before replying. tolexander: one of the yielding transformation agendawhat about the other very essential portfolios? Education, health, military, police, immigration, corruption, 'power', housing, sport and youth developement, aviation et al? The very transformation i expected you to mention is that car policy. Not the 'baba ijebu'(you win), housing to very few nigerians, fluntuating power generation etc. |

Watching both left and right before crossing a lane of the multilane road. It is abnormal to watch both left and right in this kinda lane cos normally, cars can't be moving in both directions of the lane. But in nigeria u just have to watch both directions cos of those car-missing-lane |
One of the yielding transformation agenda of Mr President. Just because the minister in charge knows what he is doing! |
Solowande: History told us that George Washington is the first united states President. But before Washington became the president of united states, seven other presidents were elected between 1781-1788. Why don't we ever hear about these seven presidents? The first president was John Hanson(1781-1782). Six other presidents were elected after him, all prior to George Washington tenure as president. Now, the question, why don't we ever hear about the first seven presidents of the united state, and why George Washington was recognized as the first president?there were other leaders before 1781. Hence John Hanson may not likely be the first president cos leader was elected immediately after the declaration of independence in 1776. |
Maybe cos their tenures were before the ratification of the constitution by the required 9 states outta 13. |

The hon should have done a lill research before coming up with the claim. He could have made an inquiry and know if the UTME candidates from his state were actually aware and applied for the scholarship in question. Perhaps, they may not know about the scholarship and the requirement. How is it possible to choose candidate who never submitted any application? |
