Sir,a unified africa may very well be palatable but at whose expense?case in point:EU.would you describe the eu bloc as unified though it seems so on the surface?is it the disagreement in the bail out package for distressed economies or the outright refusal of member states to accomodate others to the integration programme or the common euro policy.reality is most african nations reject it in toto but welcome the notion of free trade and other benefits that may be derived.even the fellas up north(northern africa)consider it an insult to be called africans but rather prefer to be termed arabs.these are just afew issues mitigating against the continent
