This statement says it all.....U don't have any prospects for Ur life. Sorry 4 d harsh statement but if U take a look at d suffering of people on d streets u will pick urself up and read ur books. U can't be satisfied with mediocre achievements. In Ur Second semester start from the beginning. Just be honest with Urself, put away any distractions eg parties, 'excessively' chasing the opposite sex, 'excessive' socializing, keeping late nights etc. Ur just 18yrs old! Youngster, ders so much ahead of U. Get close to God. U need Him.

I wrote Jamb seven times and now I'm a proud graduate of UNIBEN, finished my NYSC. and by God's grace working and living comfortably. never ever give up on Urself.!
HealthPreventing High Blood Pressure: Hypertension. by TomiSwag(op): 9:45am On Dec 28, 2015
By living a healthy lifestyle, you can help keep your blood pressure in a healthy range and lower your risk for heart disease and stroke. A healthy lifestyle includes:
Eating a healthy diet.
Maintaining a healthy weight.
Getting enough physical activity.
Not smoking.
Limiting alcohol use.
Healthy Diet
Choosing healthful meal and snack options can help you avoid high blood pressure and its complications. Be sure to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Eating foods low in salt (sodium) and high in potassium can lower your blood pressure. The
DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) eating plan
is one healthy diet that is proven to help people lower their blood pressure.1
For more information on healthy diet and nutrition, see CDC’s Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Program Web site
.
Healthy Weight
Being overweight or obese increases your risk for high blood pressure. To determine if your weight is in a healthy range, doctors often calculate your
body mass index (BMI) . If you know your weight and height, you can calculate your BMI at CDC’s Assessing Your Weight Web site
. Doctors sometimes also use waist and hip measurements to measure excess body fat.
Physical Activity
Physical activity can help you maintain a healthy weight and lower your blood pressure. For adults, the Surgeon General recommends 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or bicycling, every week. Children and adolescents should get 1 hour of physical activity every day.
For more information, see CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Web site
.
No Smoking
Cigarette smoking raises your blood pressure and puts you at higher risk for heart attack and stroke. If you do not smoke, do not start. If you do smoke, quitting will lower your risk for heart disease. Your doctor can suggest ways to help you quit.
For more information about tobacco use and quitting, see CDC’s Smoking and Tobacco Use Web site .
Limited Alcohol
Avoid drinking too much alcohol, which can raise your blood pressure. Men should have no more than 2 drinks per day, and women only 1. For more information, visit CDC’s Alcohol and Public Health Web site.

HealthYour Sperm Is Delicate: 30 Reasons Why You Should Protect It by TomiSwag(op): 10:57pm On Jul 22, 2015
If you and your partner are planning a
pregnancy, then the health of your sperm is very
important. However, you need to understand the
various factors that can affect male fertility, and
that’s why you need to consider the following
steps in order to help your sperm become top
performers.
1. Do not have unprotected sex. Sexually-
transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhoea
and Chlamydia, can damage the sperm-
producing cells that block the tubes
carrying sperm from the testis to the
penis.
2. Avoid pesticides that control pests in the
garden and on the farm. Such chemicals
can damage the sperm-reproducing
organs.
3. Avoid insecticides that are usually
sprayed to kill mosquito. Such chemicals
can damage the sperm-reproducing
organs. Therefore, if you must spray
your room against mosquitoes, allow at
least one hour before going back into
the room.
4. Avoid exposure to lead fumes generated
in the manufacture of small cell batteries
and in bullets. Such fumes can reduce
sperm count through their negative
effects on the hormones and the testis.
5. Avoid exposure to heavy metals like
cadmium from the manufacture of heavy
batteries, as they negatively affect the
hormones.
6. Avoid exposure to paint fumes and
plastic softening chemicals like
phthalates; hydrocarbons such as
ethylbenze, benzene, toluene and
xylene, as they destroy the sperm-
producing cells and hormones.
7. Minimise exposure to electromagnetic
radiation, as the sperm germ cells are
very easily damaged by the gamma rays.
8. Minimise exposure to radiation, as the
sperm germ cells are very easily damaged
by radiation.
9. Avoid fumes generated by welders and
iron smelters, as their heat can affect
sperm production and lead to low sperm
count.
10. Avoid exposure to accumulated old
newsprints, as the carbon can lead to
low sperm count.
11. Avoid wearing tight pants and trousers,
as the heat generated can cause low
sperm count.
12. Avoid children with mumps, as having
mumps in childhood can cause irreversible
damage to the testis. Therefore, never
allow a male to visit other children that
have mumps.
13. Minimise your consumption of alcohol, as
drinking to excess can cause low sperm
count and also reduce libido, causing you
to have a low sex drive.
14. Do not smoke, as cigarette smoking can
damage the testis and lower the sperm
count, lower the ability of sperm to
move and lower the lifespan of the
sperm.
15. Do not eat too much saturated fat, as
they reduce the efficiency of the
hormones and enzymes that help in the
sperm production process.
16. Do not eat food or supplements with
soya beans, as soya beans convert to
the female hormone oestrogen, which
tends to neutralise the male hormone
testosterone, which is needed for men to
reproduce sperm.
17. Minimise your intake of refined
carbohydrate such as white flour, white
bread and white rice, as they reduce
the efficiency of the hormones and
enzymes that help in the sperm
reproduction process. Instead, eat more
of the unrefined carbohydrate such as
brown rice, wheat bread and oats.
18. Do not become constipated, as this can
obstruct blood flow to the testis.
Therefore, eat more dietary fibre.
19. Do not eat a poor diet, as this affects
the quality of the sperm. Instead, eat
more whole grains, vegetables and fruits.
20. Do not take artificial sweeteners such
as nutrasweet, candarell and sweetex, as
they reduce sperm count.
21. Avoid excessive consumption of raw
lemon, as this may inhibit the enzymes
responsible for sperm production and
libido.
22. Do seek immediate medical help if one
or both of the testes are un-descended
from the abdominal cavity into the
scrotal sac, as this can significantly
reduce sperm production.
23. Do not sit for long periods of time in
one position if you are a long distance
driver, drive a small sport car, or a chief
executive having many board meetings in
leather chairs, as this can increase the
temperature around the scrotum which
can reduce sperm count.
24. Avoid traumatic injury around the testes,
as this can damage the sperm-producing
cells.
25. Avoid bicycling, as this can damage the
tube carrying the sperm.
26. Avoid stress, as this can decrease the
sperm count and lead to production of
abnormal sperms.
27. Avoid obesity, as this can reduce blood
flow to the testes, making the sperm
production process more difficult and
significantly reduce libido.
28. Avoid substance abuse like cocaine or
heavy marijuana use, as this can lead to
low sperm count and deformed sperms.
29. Avoid poor nutrition, as this affects the
quality of the sperm.
30. Do not have children at a late age, as
the quality of the sperm decreases with
age, leading to more difficult conception
and greater possibility of having children
with deformities.

Nairaland GeneralMost Frightening Bridge In The World. by TomiSwag(op): 7:11pm On Jul 06, 2015
In Japan is located the most frightening
bridge in the world: judging by the pictures, it
seems that those who have designed wanted to
defy the force of gravity. We speak of the
Ejima bridge , which combines the city of
Sakaiminato and Matsue in Japan , the two
cities are located on opposite sides of Lake
Nakaumi.
A bridge rather than a work road, seems part
of an roller coaster in a theme park . The
steepness is not only due to an optical effect, but
it is real, as you can guess from the photographs
that portray this.
In details, the bridge have the maximum
height of 44 meters. Its particular shape, of
course, is not a random result , but is due to
the fact that there is provided in the passage of
ships.
What is certain is that the images are almost
scary, especially when the bridge is raised to pass
along the boats: in that case, it is good to
remember to stop his car with the handbrake, or
the risk of a real disaster become very concrete.
The reasons why the Ejima bridge is famous
in Japan and throughout Asia, however, are many.
For example, it is the longest bridge in the whole
country ( coming to a kilometer and
400 meters ) between all the bridges
to the rigid structure. A record-breaking building
or almost all: over the world there are only two
other bridges of this type which have a
greater length.

Politics‘slowpoke’ Terrorist Takes Selfie In Front Of ISIS Hqs,bombed It 22 Hrs Later by TomiSwag(op): 12:21pm On Jun 07, 2015
Apparently, looks can kill. In a very
real story that we assure you did not
originate from The Onion , a terrorist
from ISIS recently took a selfie of
himself and posted it online.
Shortly thereafter, U.S. Intelligence,
which heavily monitors social media
accounts from ISIS members and
supporters, managed to pinpoint an
ISIS headquarters building in Syria
by using the selfie photo as a
reference point.
According to Air Force General Hawk
Carlisle (which is a perfect name for
an Air Force General we must say),
airmen from Hurlburt Field, Florida in
the 361st Intelligence, Surveillance
and Reconnaissance Group were the
first to pick up on the photo.
“The guys that were working down
out of Hurlburt, they’re combing
through social media and they see
some slowpoke standing at this
command,”Carlisle said in an
interview with Defense Tech . “And in
some social media, open forum,
bragging about the command and
control capabilities for Daesh, ISIL.
And these guys go: ‘We got an in.’
So they do some work, long story
short, about 22 hours later through
that very building, three [Joint Direct
Attack Munitions] take that entire
building out.”
