Probably the item is not yet in Nigeria or it is an untracked item. One it comes into Nig and is received in Lagos, you can easily find the location of your item on that site.

Thanks man! I did as you said and they activated 4G on it. The quality of the network improved a lot but still not comparable to Airtel.

Am a bit sad that the bonus data they gave me for upgrading my SIM to 4G wasted before the SIM was activated for 4G. About 5GB OO!!

With this recent out break of SARS in China, I hope nig customs won't place a ban on importation of items from China soon. I have a couple of items I have ordered which I plan to resell.

One evening like that, I alighted from a bus to buy bread and continue my journey home. Earlier in the afternoon I withdrew 5k one thousand naira note from the ATM. Then I paid the bus conductor with the only 50 naira I have left.

So I only had on me 5k.

I went to a shop where they are selling bread. I picked 1 of 500 naira and handed the lady 1k. She then stretched her hands into the other side of her apron to bring out waterproof. After she out the bread in the wateproof, I asked her for my change.

That's where trouble started!

She claimed I have not paid her. I was schocked and the same time angry.

She began to raise her voice which drew attention. Not longer after, the owner of the shop came and I explained to him and even showed him the debit alert on my phone and the balance of 4k with me. The dude believed her sales rep More than me. He instead suggested I pay 250 for the bread while they bear the loss of 250. Meanwhile my 1k is gone.

I later left them and my money and went home.

The anger was choking.

Every network 4G SIM works on it. However for Glo, your location and the quality of their services there will be a major determiner.

I upgraded my Glo SIM to 4G last week and inserted it in my Umdigi A5 Pro. 4G showed for less than 10 seconds while I was still inside Glo's head office. Afterwards, it's been 3G mostly which is no better than 2G if not 1G( if such exists).

I care less about Glo's terrible 4G network in my location because I use Airtel (Airtel 4G Mifi) across all Internet enabled devices I use.

No sir. I just got the phone last week.

Am used to setting my phones to automatically turn off at a specific time in the night and also turn on at a specific time in the morning few minutes before my alarm goes off.

Any idea where I can find this in the phone or a third-party app you can recommend. The apps I have tried don't do anything.

Hi all,

I have been following this thread since November 2019 after I made up my mind to purchase the Umdigi A5 Pro.

Before now, I have been using the very first Infinix Hot X507 which I purchased sometime in February 2015 grin

. The phone never failed me for once. I only changed the battery twice. The first - follow come battery - was changed after my first two years using the phone while the battery in it now has been serving me since late 2017.

So for my Umdigi story; I first learned of Oukitel, specially C17 Pro after which I found out about Umdigi A5 Pro. Surprisingly, the two phones have almost the same specs.

I asked for recommendations here on Nairaland and most of the responses that came were in favour of Umdigi A5 Pro.

On December 25 2019, I ordered the phone on Jumia. The delivery was delayed because of the Christmas break but on 6 January 2020 I got notified about the delivery of the phone.

So far, am pleased with what I got. Am now patiently waiting for the Umdigi A5 Pro leather case I ordered from Aliexpress. From the tracking information am seeing, the case is already in Lagos and should be heading to my destination soon.

I do hope that my Umdigi A5 Pro will last a very long time with me ... Maybe another 5 years grin

Rest assured I envisage upgrading to a more advanced Umdigi product soon.

I wish Umdigi makes 10.1 inches tablet. That is my next handheld gadget I want to change what am currently using.

The attached pictures are that of my Umdigi phone. I took the pictures with my now aged Infinix Hot X507.

So I hope am now a bonafide member of this thread.

For the background picture.... The phone as we all know run on stock android meaning I don't have much option when it comes to tweaking my background pictures. So I downloaded Pixpaper from playstore which automatically changes my background picture every 2 hours as long as I have Internet access.

Lagos is the next destination your goods is heading. After it arrives Lagos, the next port of call is Enugu. You'll have to exercise patience as shipping during Christmas is always slow due to high number of packages and people that is on transit.

It's simple, track your mail. Get the tracking number of the item you purchased and head over to the tracking websites. You can either check the NIPOST tracking site at http://ips.nipost.gov.ng/ipswebtracking/ or you can track using the international tracking website like https://m.17track.net/en or https://track24.net/

Once any of them confirms that the goods are in your local post office, it is now time to visit the post office.

Both items are showing sent abroad....prolly Lagos but the shipping address I used is for Enugu. Can you make further meaning out of the attached screenshot pls?

Pls how do I know when my item is available for pick-up at the post office?

I have about 2 items am to receive this December. I have gone to the post office though I did not get any calls but they said the items are not there.

The sellers have extended the delivery confirmation time.

I have messaged AE customer support and also chatted up the seller and asked what is going on...He or she asked if I've a paypal account and I responded in the affirmative/yes.

Pls has anyone experienced this before?

Is this a case of fraud?

I compared the email notifying me of payment and shipping of the item and sadly, it is same as those I've gotten for my other AE purchases.
