smart024:This is why cancer is now the latest malaria in Nigeria. |
Stick to white meat |
We must quit celebrating mediocrity and start demanding for our rights as citizens. Everyday we celebrate politicians. Where are the relevant institutions we ought to be demanding performance from? A governor stops by the roadside to eat Amala and we say "wow he's a saviour, a humble god!" Then he stops his motorcade to take photographs with a physically challenged dude (who, by right, should be under government-backed institutional care) and we rush to Nairaland to sing his praises and hymns! Have we no brains in Africa? Why do we keep celebrating polithiefcians in Nigeria, while saner countries build strong institutions which take care of relevant aspects of the society? I can never be part of this! |
A man who joined the army on quota, without a WEAC certificate. This is the dullard that zombies and APC (All Promises Cancelled) expect to transform Nigerian economy. Has he been able to transform the number of his Daura cattle? |
The quest for the complete development of Nigerian goes beyond tribal or religious sentiments. It goes beyond blowing golden trumpets each time 50 or more streetlights are installed by a governor. From Rivers to Osun states, from Kano to Anambra states, Nigerians deserve a certain minimum comfort. We must stop celebrating mediocrity. Nigeria discovered commercial crude oil in 1958, but 58 years later, some bigots are busy celebrating streetlights, amidst a complete dearth of public utilities and infrastructures. Yet our leaders never lack billions to buy mansions overseas. How many years did it take to build Dubai and put streetlights in every damn residential street? Ok so we didn't know that residential neighborhoods should be illuminated too? Lack of exposure is a bad thing! Why are we this foolish? Is it because of poverty? What are the responsibilities of a LGA council? To share allocation amongst themselves? Why do we have to link a governor to everything the state owes us? Are they gods or do they "work" from their personal bank accounts? Shame on Nigeria! |
So you expect one mumu to stroll to First Bank and credit your account, then send teller & names to you... for a material that exists only in cyberspace? I don't want to call this a scam because you've given out an account number with which you can be fully identified and traced; but you should do well to be transparent in your business. To start with, the topic is absolutely misleading. I clicked to see the "5-steps tricks" but ended up disappointed. |
raimuasu:My only fear about capital punishment is miscarriage of justice. What if an innocent person mistakenly gets ropped in a drug case? What if an innocent traveller gets some drugs planted in his/her luggage by drug traffickers or even a racist police officer? How strong and dependable is Indonesia's justice process? Lastly, Asia as a whole is one continent I have zero desire/plans to visit in my lifetime. Will stick to Europe and the Americas, where human life is still shown some respect and dignity. |

Buhari has finished this country! |
I'm not surprised! A government that's best at going overseas for ear infection treatment. Such a callous administration! Here was a man who gave his best for this nation, being treated like a nobody in death. One begins to wonder why soldiers die for this contraption called Nigeria, because I wouldn't even loose my finger nails for Nigeria, talk less of my blood or life! |
Dongreat:It's such a shame! I don't know whether it's because of poverty or lack of exposure. Don't they watch movies? While I was in one of the western cities, every damn street has street lights for decades past. Nobody celebrates trash! It's the local council's job to maintain these lighting infrastructures 24/7. Africa is just a shithole of stupid pathetic goats whose best hobby is to celebrate polithiefcians for giving them poo. Nonsense! |
Smh. Lack of global exposure is worse than Ebola virus. Why should a mere street light warrant the singing of a governor's praises? As if he installed the lights from his personal bank account? I feel so ashamed and sorry for these category of Nigerians who are best at singing praises. In saner climes, every local govt authority is tasked with ensuring that neighborhoods are well lit, secured, maintained and cleaned. They don't wait for the governor/mayor. Do we ever ask the criminals at the LGA councils what they do with their allocations? #QuitCelebratingMediocrity |
Love is such a dangerous thing You never know what to expect Look at her young pretty face All smiles on her wedding day Can you imagine he'd abandon her When she needed him the most? Such is Tomorrow, always pregnant Would it give birth to death or life? Would it give birth to joy or sorrow? Would it give birth to betrayal or loyalty? Just what do we expect from Tomorrow ? |
ChemicalReaction:Dude is from the Indomie generation. All they know is phones and electronic games. They hardly read books on Nigeria's history. |
Jombojombo:The anger [by the Awusas] after Ironsi assumed leadership was that he failed to deal squarely with the coup-plotters and "murderers". He was more interested in the sweetness of his new powers than being concerned about the regional tension that the 1966 coup was quickly instigating. The lesson in his death is that, justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done! |
Truth be told, Aguiyi Ironsi had the golden opportunity to do the right thing upon assuming leadership after the abortion of the so-called Igbo coup. But he failed to bring instant justice to those officers who brutally murdered notable Nigerians (while sparing those from a particular region of the country). This was the case against Ironsi. Perhaps the events which led up to the Civil War would have been averted and millions of lives saved. |
Pidggin:Ain't you now enjoying the drama his approach has brought? Something a little different from the ordinary... You have a point though, but fvck it, this is a faceless forum! For all I care, this "white" dude might even be another bored jobless black-ass Nigerian graduate in Sapele. This ain't Facebook. Every claim is welcome. |
Johnlenoxx:Wow! That's a nice one. Well some comments can be so crazy or funny (or both) that you begin to wonder if these Nairalanders are professional clowns. By the way, I hope you've got your helmet and bulletproof vests on? Because some dudes here show no mercy when bashing anyone who crosses their path! Enjoy. |
Gaddafithe2nd:Typically, people who peddle drugs always have this air of invincibility and smartness around them. 5 years from now, people would still be executed in Indonesia regardless of all these warnings. They are super smart, supermen who believe so much in themselves and in the evil they do. Only the executioners' bullets bring them back to reality, after which there's no redemption. |
We are so religious in Nigeria so our leaders know that they can always buy more time through religious leaders. Then the suffering-and-smiling-and-hoping continues, while polithiefcians continue to loot us dry and religious leaders live like emperors. #WakeUpNigeria #FiscalFederalism |
Johnlenoxx:Welcome. Where are you from? This is a Nigerian forum, how did you get to know about it? And what's your main purpose for being on a Nigerian forum? |
Anointedashawo:Whether you are a guy or lady, it's not good to indulge in pornography. Forget what society thinks, the cons far outweigh the pros- if any. |
ATERI:The real people you should rather be shaming are those guys who chose to do drugs in a country that executes drug traffickers on yearly basis. They knew the law, they've seen previous executions, yet their love for quick blood money wouldn't let them reason out other legit means of livelihood. Nigeria govt didn't send them to do drugs in Indonesia. |
As these guys are being executed, another batch of Nigerians is defiantly engaging in the same deadly drug business. It's like the saying that whom the gods intend to destroy they first make deaf. Otherwise how can a sane human being hear about these routine executions and still have the audacity to do drugs in Indonesia? I don't have pity for men who consciously choose to die this way. |
