Although Lagos is the most populous state in Nigeria, it is pertinent to note that the population of Lagos as a state was what was represented in the article above. However, other places represented in that article are just a part of a state.

NB it wasn't clear if the population representation for Kano, Kaduna e.t.c meant for it's state or the capital city in such state since they share the same name

I’m sure you’ve never left your state . So you don’t know there’s Lagos inside Lagos state grin SMH

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Plateau Or Gombe State? by TomShelby: 2:21pm On Jun 13, 2021
lagusboyyy:
I'm a graduate from one of the south west university in Nigeria, and i spend all my life in Lagos state , and also a yoruba guy from Lagos State.

But due to the rising and unavailability of good jobs around, i have been thinking of moving over to the North for greener pasture, i want to leave my comfort zone.

So, two states are on my mind, plateau state or gombe.

I really want input of individuals on this issues:

Cost of living

Availability of jobs

Security

Acceptability of strangers, and many more.

Which state do you guys think is ok, I'm really in need of a good job.

I will really appreciate this topic to be in frontpage so as to reach wider audience.

How can you say you want to leave Lagos to Gombe or Jos for greener pasture . This must be a joke. Loool. Have been to Jos and I can tell you there’s no money there except you’re a government worker or working for ITF and the security issues alone will make you consider running. Let me not even start with Gombe. You must really want to die grin grin

Twitter suspension in Nigeria is long overdue smiley

The FG can't allow that American app to keep promoting anarchy.

You’re just a complete fool. Is it Twitter that is causing anarchy in the north or causing kidnappings , terrorism, fulani killings and insecurity in the country.

This is child molestation, period. This guy really bleeped up and he is going in for a very long term in prison. Just for only few minutes that the lady stepped out, he couldn't control his JT n started molesting the baby girl. If you can't control your prick, get a girlfriend or wife or get an ashi to avoid being chew raw by the feminists. By the way, why didn't he go for the princess herself considering the fact that she has two huge loads in the front and behind too grin grin grin

Just imagine if they are both together for a day. He go give am different styles. Mad man grin

You have a great chance to further abroad. Please don't focus on one country—i.e USA. Have several options. 1. Join International organisations in your field while you are in Nigeria.(/some are free). .2.Volunteer in places to boost your CV .3. Google-funded masters in Biochemistry 2021.4. Write to schools abroad seeking funding for masters. Although the USA has the best funding system, there is much funding in other countries. Some schools now waive applications fees for postgraduate applicants .A fully funded programme will change your life forever.

Okay. Thanks man

Have you tried Canada?

You might not get masters but easy admission for Post graduate diploma. You get 3 years work permit after your study and opportunity to become a permanent resident.

Follow the Canadian student thread here on NL.

Thanks man. Will check it out

Do you apply for undergraduate or post graduate studies?

You have a good chance of securing fully funded scholarships in USA despite that CGPA. Your field is biochemistry, so less issues; you can even get a direct PhD scholarship (easier than a masters actually).

I want to ask, do you have any research experience? Work experience related to your field? Publications? Programming skills?

Write and ace your GRE (target > 310/340), ace TOEFL (> 100/120), three good recommendations from past lecturers and a great statement of purpose would help. All these wouldn't even cost a million naira, save for flight. That's for Fall '22 session; it's very very possible.

Thanks man. Don’t have any research experience or publications though. I’m just a young graduate.

Hello guys,
What are my chances of studying abroad and living in the country after school? I studied biochemistry and graduated with 2.2 (3.1 cgpa ). I understand that’s low that why I need advice on which country is best and maybe a little recommendation on schools. I was thinking maybe I should look for undergraduate courses base on my 2.2 or I should keep looking for masters courses?
I have a savings of 10 million. That’s why I also need recommendation on school that are not so expensive.
Have made some research but not satisfied. Any advice or recommendation is much welcome.
