When wıll this madness end please? Christians NEED to fight back. Here is what mazaje wrote about this issue on another thread and I agree completely with what he wrote.

It is common knowledge here in the west, asia and europe that we are experiencing a second Jihad since the fall of the caliphate and last Islamic Ottoman empire since 1922.

There is more to it than meets the eyes, Similar videos portraying Muslims suffering or being persecuted for their religion are available all over the place. There is just something about persecution complex that captivates both religions. The adherents of both religions love feeling that they are being persecuted for their religion when its not about religion. The Jos crisis is more of an ethnic one than a religious one. So many Christians were saved by Muslims during the crisis just as there were so many Muslims that were saved by Christians during the carnage. The crisis is more political and ethnic than religious, The indigenous people of the state just happen to be Christians while the Hausas they are having a political tussle with are Muslims.

  When America decided to attack Iraq unprovoked and for NO reason at all, other than George Bush saying that his God told him to get rid of Saddam what did you call it? There are Muslim imperialist just as there are also Christian imperialist(The Neocons who happen to be mostly American Christians and Jews) whose ideology is to spread western values to all nations even if it means by the barrel of the gun. So you see, imperialism is every where.

What is it about persecution complex that captivates most religious people? Religious people love having this feeling of being persecuted for their beliefs, It makes them happy and gives them some special feeling even when nobody is actually persecuting them. Imagine Christians claiming to be suffering persecution in the hand of Muslims in a state(Plateau) that is over 80 percent Christian. The Muslims are also doing the same thing, claiming that they are being persecuted only because they are Muslims and following the teachings of their religion. Its truly funny and crazy.

This video is nothing but sheer propaganda. It is not balanced and there is clear editing and additions to it. I can bet my months salary that Muslims also have their own propaganda video flying around the internet all in-other to solicit local and international funds and enrich some greedy and unscrupulous jerks. Its videos like these(made by Muslims) that make terrorist organizations like al qaeda offer to send or give assistance to Islamist in Nigeria to fight Jihad and further exacerbate and compound the problem.

1. That u choose to call the bible a book of myths does not make it so. that u deny the ontology of Christ and the existence of hell. . .does not make u right considering the fact that u have no evidence to support your claims.

The bible contains a lot of myths, So many Christians themselves acknowledge that FACT, But unlike me they chose to sugar coat it and say that those mythical stuffs are allegorical tales or narratives. What exactly is hell? Christians are still struggling to understand and accept what it truly mean. Hell is CLEARLY an imaginary place and a very cleverly constructed myth used to make people believe and accept what the advocate of what ever religion what them to accept. What has numbers go to do with it? Don't you also insult the intelligence of over a billion Muslims for accepting the mythical narratives of Islam? Believers express faith in what ever concept of god they have been conditioned and indoctrinated with because years of indoctrination and culture is not easy to throw away and hence becomes their reality.

People have various reasons for believing or holding unto myths. Just look around you, there are about a billion Hindus, over a billion Muslims, hundred of million of Buddhist, etc all clinging to one form of man made mythology or the other from childhood till they die. People do NOT believe in the religions they were indoctrinated with since childhood because it makes any sense, they do so mostly because of conditioning, societal acceptance and the make belief that it is their reality.

When will people stop believing in endless myths of gods and goddesses? African, Jewish, Indian, Chinese and Arabian gods are all man made inventions.

Here is what the bible really is.

Bible + history = Thousands of years of changing and recording of non historical events + Lost of mythical narratives.

Judaism + Torah = Christian's old testament, whose teachings have mostly been changed by Christians to fit their own narrative. Some Christians believe its laws are obsolete, while other Christians believe they are not and are still applicable and valid.

Scribes + Bible = Years of mistranslation, misunderstanding, add ons and removed passages, errors and contradictions.

Church + Bible = Different versions of the bible and so many different denominations all claiming monopoly and  knowledge of what the bible actually says.

Christians + Messed up bible = Covering it up and pretending it is perfect and just needs an interpretation.

Messed up bible + People = Too much confusion and the inability for Christians to come together and agree on anything at all it says. Old earth creationist, Young earth creationist, Those that believe in a global flood, those that believe the flood is a local flood, Those that believe in trinity, those that do not, those that accept hell as a place of eternal punishment, those that believe that hell is only a permanent separation from god and not a place of eternal punishment. Those that believe that Christians are supposed to prosper in all they do and those that believe in some form of persecution complex, and the need for Christian to always suffer for their beliefs, the division and confusion is ENDLESS.

Overall: When you find things that do not add up or make sense in your bible, make Poo up and pretend that others are getting it wrongly.

. Go read, there are people who have stated that they began questioning their religious beliefs and later became atheist just by coming to nairaland. I have seen some of their posts. It actually means nothing to me personally, since I only come here to have fun and try understand why people believe in whatever they believe.

What's this nonsense talk . I had been a Christian for most of my adult life.  It feels good, because you feel like something greater and loving is taking care of you and protecting your future because you have been conditioned to believe in that since childhood. It fills you with false confidence. The emotional believer I don't think is really secure in his belief at all so allows the worms to do anything to shore up his defense to hold on to something he knows is untenable but something he needs emotionally. It is amazing, living life without having this "I can never be good enough for God" guilt hanging over my head to keep me faithful and accept myths that make NO sense at all.  There were actually sermons about this  so you have to keep begging and pleading with some imaginary god to have mercy on your bad and "sinful soul"discouraging Christians to ever feel like they were "living the right way" because you can never do enough to please him. Chris, thanks for this, but there are many things you need to know about the old testament. After Adam sinned, God Almighty stopped relating directly with man. He related with man through angels. All of the old testament God, like Jehova etc are all angels. It was an angel that gave Moses the ten commandments and the Mosaic Laws viz "an eye for an eye, etc". These things had to happen because the one that needed to reconcile man to the Almighty had not come. When he came, he did the reconciliation by shedding his blood, a pure blood, for all of mankind. For Christians, Muslims, Hindus Atheist etc,all humans have now been saved through that blood.
