I see no reason why people should overflog issues on this Islamic banking concept. A noble course that impedes interests on facilities (loans) across board. I think it should be embraced by all and sundry, in my estimation.

Should President Jonathan interfere in the elections of the leadership of the National Assembly? This is a million dollar question that is begging for answer. As the next legislative houses, Senate and the House of Representatives are on the verge of convergence come May 29, 2011, and electing their leadership by June 6, President Jonathan has reported to have endorsed the candidature of his anointed protegee and incumbent Senate President, David Mark to retain the headship of the upper chamber.

This endorsement was contained in a letter sent to the senate and read on the floor of the house. Without considering the detrimental effects of attempt at polarising the senate by the executive arm of government, or better still creating disaffection for himself among the senators in particular and the various states that make up the geo-political region that the exalted position is zoned to (North Central), President Jonathan has started creating enemies for himself.

I think the best bet for him is to allow the Legislative arm of government to do their things in their own way without interference and undue favour. Jonathan endorsement of Mark has given him undue leverage against all other candidates vieing for that post. While i welcome Governor elect, Ibikunle Amosun on board, i must sincerely say that i dont envy him at. This is because he is inheriting an administration that is characterized by a myriads of challenges arising from non-performance, barrage of criticisms and mountain of tasks. It is no longer news that the outgoing administration in the state has bastardized development in the state, hence the need for Amosun to be up and doing in order not disappoint the electorate. While i commend his effort at setting up the prep team, he needs to be cautioned against repeating the same mistakes his predecessors made, by involving every "dick and harry" in the administration of the state. The fewer the merrier they say. The more the people in the administration of a state, the more the required financial resources to maintain their responsibilities. Only qualified technocrats are expected to be part of his admin startion. Time thick, and four years is just around the corner when stewardship will be reckoned with and another elections held.

Taking cue from the popular saying that your willingness to listen to everybody and your preparedness to listen to nobody determines your success and failure in life. This assertion underscores to current situation of Mr President as he allows lobbyists to hijack is vacation at Obudu. Expectedly, President Johanathan should not be a weakling or puppet President whose direction of his government will be determined by sycophant and favour seekers surrounding him. I advise him to live up to the expectation of the electorate that gave their mandate to him, by preventing the economic superpowers vis-a-vis the political gladiators in the country to sabotage his government plans.

Sincerely, as an indegene of Ogun State, i will personally be infuriated if Daniel is spared by the anti corruption commission. The state has witnessed a myriads of underdevelopments and suffered retrogression politically under his watch. A substantial resources of the state was not only channelled towards executing the stupid G-11/ G-15 obnoxious agenda, aimed at hijacking the party structure and controll from the firm grip of his out of favour god-father, OBJ, or syphon it on various abandoned white elephant projects, such as Cargo airport, Olokola LNG, to mention but few, with no impact on the living standard common state indigenes. This is another test case of the effectiveness of EFCC.

It will be fool-hardy for any ACN member in the House to decamp to PDP for whatever reason. If any of them does that, it would definitely signal the end of his political career in S/W.
