PoliticsHow Can We As Nigerian Citizens Stop Rigging? by Tonyblu(op): 9:33am On Feb 05, 2007
How can we as Citizens STOP RIGGING?

We have about 150million NIGERIANS! Out of whc the Politicians & Political THUGS are not upto 2% of this vast population.

Can we rightly say that these little percentage can effectively BULLY the bulk of Nigerians thru RIGGING this time around and get away with it?

Do you know that the international community, INEC, Observers, etc, cannot eradicate Electoral Rigging?

What can we do as Nigerians who have patiently left our homes, come out to cast our votes, do to make sure that the figures published are the actual figures?

Wont you be shocked when the collated figures exceeds the 60million of registered voters?

It's about time we took this RIGGING business heads-on!

Let's not leave it for "THEM".

It's our Future;
It's the future of our children;

It is upto US (you & I) to find a solution to RIGGING monsters, starting with this April 2007 elections.

What do you feel?

@ladyT:

. . . Just because I support IBB doesn't mean I do not have common sense
. . . he's the most effective and efficient presidential candidate available.
Come to think of it;
What does it take to be a Presidential Candidate?
What makes IBB the best qualified?

I vehemently disagree with you.

I can rightly say that you, BIG B1, will do a better job as a President than all these selfish politicians we have everywhere.

History & people's precedence shld be enuff criteria!

RomanceRe: Are Medical Doctors Flirts? by Tonyblu(m): 2:54pm On Jan 30, 2007
When you have spent 6 + X years in Medical school reading your brain-cells tight, with little or no on-campus social life;
U finally graduate 6 + X years later (where X is unknown).
And unlike other professions where u have to go for NYSC before earning pay, HOUSEMANSHIP provides d docs an avenue to earn good pay right out of school before NYSC.
A young doc, with pay to burn naturally attracts babes.
A young doc who had had a low-profile campuslife may see his newly found financial freedom as an avenue for adventure; especially to catch-up on lost time.
But it's basically about individual personality and self-control.
But when it crosses ethical bounds, the patient can report such a person once u know your rights.

. . . If the only good thing that OBJ can do in his lifetime is to stop corrupt politicians from contesting the next election then Nigeria will be very grateful to him as we have had enough of these corrupt politicians that turn defenders of democracy the moment their dirty deals are exposed.
You have a good point there, Afam!

I totally agree with you!!
PoliticsRecent Salary Increase! by Tonyblu(op): 11:47am On Jan 30, 2007
How thotful PDP can be!

Effecting a Salary increase at this very moment.

I see a political undertone to it.
Such that it'll make the Nigerians, who have since lost faith and confidence in them give them our votes.

Of what use is Salary increase where we know it always leads to inflation.
If you must increase salaries, why can you do so quietly.
What effect will the salary increase have on people's life when fuel scarcity, high transport cost, Tiger-generator power-backup, taxes, etc mops up this changes.

Why was it done just FEW WEEKS away from elections when PDP will still lose the PRESIDENCY!

. . . I am in a dilemma choosing a career in:

A. Diamond Bank
B. KPMG professional Services
C. NNPC

. . . I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate.
They are all good offers, and I can appreciate your dilemma.
My question is:
Are u truly Engineering-oriented? If you have keen interest in staying in your trained professional line, the NNPC might be d one for u.

On the other hand, Bank jobs are d trend now, with the current economic policies favorable to banks, they are more in vogue.

Dont kno much abt KPMG.

The other question is how keen are you in career path growth, how quick and assured can u rise career-wise in these sectors?

And before u finally decide, you definitely hav to know & compare the pay-cheques of these establishments; wch I believe the are contained in the Letter of Offer of Employment.

Above all, pray to God for guidance.

Best of God's success.

Cheers.

PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi For President In 2007? by Tonyblu(m): 6:21pm On Jan 26, 2007
We've all done enough talking.
It's about time we done the walking.

Agreed, Pat may or maynot be the man.

What will it cost you if u cast your vote for him?
4 years, only! Of which I am certain he'll deliver more than we have had in a very longtime.

For years, we have been under military rule; then it got converted to these 8 years of Military-Democracy.

What has the gunvors, legislators, senators delivered these 8 ODD years?
NOTHING!

Yet most of us are still willing to cast our votes to another set of PROMISFOS (translate to: Promise & Fail) politicians.

The ONLY solution is to give Prof PAT UTOMI yur vote.

May the candidate who has sincerity of purpose WIN!

PhonesHelp With Bird Phone Screen by Tonyblu(op): 11:51am On Jan 19, 2007
hi

I have a Bird v5510 with a cracked/broken main color screen; but the outer LCD display still ok.

It has been difficult getting a replacement screen, even at Otigba street, Ikeja Computer village.

1. Does anyone have any idea where i can get it fixed?
2. Is there any health-hazard using it with the broken screen?

I can see incoming calls on d outer LCD screen, but cant read texts.

Thank yu.

Plenty good advice has passed thru this thread.

Deejnr,
Amadin2000:
Don't let people kill your family:
- Work on yourself and forget about her, so what if she dosen't answer your greeting, does it make you loose money?

- Let your good character bring shame to her and convince your husband who is right or wrong, make your husband judge but by reason of your good character not your complains

- Your problem is you think too much about her, enjoy your marital life, life if for enjoyment, the less you think of her, the smaller she becomes, the more you think about her, the bigger she becomes, don't make her unnecessarily important!!

- My friend be wise, a virtuous woman builds her home and does not destroy it.
I agree with Amadin on the points quoted above.

Think less of her; do all u usually to do irrespective of who may be around, it's your own home!

Be more romantic to huzzy;
Be extra radiant, take time with your toiletries;
Look sweet; look charming; look adorable.
Let yourself shine!
Such that she'll look stoooopidly foolish when her antics seem not to be getting to you.

Dont let the stunts she may pull with her pregnancy fool you, good enuff u wer just preg a few months back.

Also, be cautious with the Kitchen dept, that where the kata-kata may burst.

Above all, BE PRAYERFUL!

It kan onli git Beta!

PoliticsWhy shld we forgive them. . . ? by Tonyblu(op): 4:13pm On Jan 18, 2007
So many of our leaders, including the ex-military head-of-states; ex-ministers, ex-govnors, etc; who perpetrated horrible acts against the populace are now asking us to vote them into power.

These people were once considered above the law when they were in power.

Should we just "forgive" them and allow them back into our lives just like that?

What do you think. . . .?
CareerRe: Diamond Bank Recruitment by Tonyblu(m): 8:31am On Jan 18, 2007
I guess d bank used a Secured Online form design that most cybercafes around cannot access due the complicated security certificates that needs to be verified by the Diamond Bank server b4 allowing you connect to it.

I wish they'll use an easier to access link.

Cheers.

Tonyblu,
I wonder what effect your rhetoric questions can make to this satanic view of trini girl or woman from an Island. You should rather take a position as a Nigerian. We are not bystanders, we do not sit on the fence we take position. This is no politics, but morality bordering on religion and God's laws.
2Princewill,

My stand had always been that it ain't proper from any angle u look at it.
However you look at it, it remains WRONG!
Be it Morally, Legally or Otherwise.

I guess d lady's mind is made up.

The Polls and every post coming on this thread are enuff to convince anybody, there's no other way to justify it.

Being indulged in it, is no excuse to justify it.

Period.

I guess if it's for a fling; then it's safer, neater, easier to do so with persons outside your office.

Let us JUST try & develop & keep COMRADESHIP in the work-place. It's healthier, sweeter and less-dangerous.
Saves u lots of gory scenes, dodging, transfers, etc;

There is no evidence that pre-marital sex with one partner between a man and a woman, who are consenting adults, in a committed monogamous relationship, over an extended period of time, is fornication. It is not illicit, it is not illegal, it is not immoral. IT IS NOT FORNICATION and IT IS NOT A SIN
Trini. . .
It's not Immoral? (Hmmm, ?!)
It's not Illicit? (Hmmmm . . . .?!)
It's not Illegal? (Hmmm, mmhhh!)

BUT is it LEGAL. . .??!!
