Kola4uniadgog: This is not the first time this will be happening. It occured abt 15 years ago in agege and many died. It keeps reoccuring in lagos but on a lighter note. My correct ibo brothers, I salute una. But pls don't be quick to generalize when it comes to we yorubas. They are still some who are sane and with a discerning eye and mind. But for the rest, it is a lost cause.
There are two kind of people who support APC 1. Those who are in the party and hopes to get rewarded if they clinch power 2. The others like my brothers on nairaland are just dumb! Kola, a bottle of guiness stout on me. Yell and tell mama bola I said so I know your type is rare in Yorubaland It also happened in Sagamu It also happened in mile 12 It also happened now in osun Thank lord your taking note unlike your peeps that will shout sai buharri Nice one |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I pay a whooping sum of 500k to get a job? Please Advice!!!.... by tonychristopher: 8:19pm On Mar 11, 2015 |
nurexfutmx: I lost my job last year december, have been trying to get another job since then but all to no avail. Am getting frustrated by the day cos i don't see any job coming, I was able to save up to 500k during my time in my former workplace. Now, the question is...
1. Am thinking of going for MSc which i may end up spending the whole money on and God forbid, what if i still don't get any job after the programme won't i go back to square one?
2. I'm thinking maybe i could invest in something profitable and start up a little business but i really want to build my career and with that little sum of money i have, i may end up making little or no gain which i could possibly lose lots of money aswell.
3. The third and last one am really interested doing is someone promised me a job in NNPC and he is asking me to pay 300k for a slot there but from experience of what happened to be last year, i lost 150k to a family friend who promised me a job in Nigeria Custom but i end up got scammed. It didn't workout, am trying to avoid such mistake again.
I've always wish to work with a goverment parastatal (a very good one) and i don't mind forfeiting the whole 500k to get it only if i can be rest assured it will workout.
Am really confused and don't know what to do with my life....i need u guys advice please! To be honest with. You Your stupid Which one is career Go and start business with that |

kernel504: Read through my previous posts on this topic, is been decent with brotherly messages. I will not hurt your ego for the very sake of decent Yoruba men all over the globe. Since after the war, the only tribe that seens to stand the Igbos are the Yorubas, even with the effect of the war. We don't need the presidency to be industrious and prosperous. We are making wealth, not looting state treasury,ok!!! Is that so Ignorance is bliss but mind you this os about hausa killing yorubas in their own land why not face it and deal with it Oga decency |

lokoloko84: Nonsense. I am a Yoruba man and I do not believe in this unity structure talk less of your fantom one Nigeria. We are not one and will never be.But we can still hide under this country by restructuring this country along states, regional or tribal lines for a start and we see how we go on from here. I personal believe Nigeria will cease one day.It is just a matter of time. The truth is that the present climate is dragging the Yoruba's backward. Corrupt politicians are tolerated because of tribal sentiments, perceived incompentency at the center and religious bigotry. Most of our problems in SW stems from below par performance of governance and shameless elders who are more interested in their personal advancements than the average Yoruba man out-there in SW. I am a passive participant on naira land and I do not comment on issues that much but if the Igbo's wanted Biafra then it is their choice and not anybody's business. to.be honest ..your type is rare in yoruba land |

Ephemmm: Yoruba's love for peace should not be mistaken for coward as no ethic has monopoly of violence. You are here claiming "Mighty Man" but why did your brave but coward fighter, Ojukwu run away and left his poor people that he led into such suffering during Biafra?
Pen is mightier than sword - that is what Awolowo displayed for you guys during Biafra, by telling them not to supply foods to their opponents. Might is good at war front, but skill is much more useful.
Of what use is physical boxing with someone, when I am sure that I can deal with him in a more legal manner? May be you should show us the pics of Yoruba youths you have beaten to further justify your ethnicism. and he Awo died a fruastrated man Lets check who is better I no fit laugh again |

I am very sure it is NOT Hausa people. They are very good people.
It is definitely FULANI BORN TO RULE people who think their Boko Haram master Bhuari is about to win elections in their dreams.
Majority of Nigerians especially the youth don't know the difference between the two. FULANI' s are clever and crafty, they speak Hausa so that you will automatically assumes that they are Hausa' s. They are the cow rearer like Bhuari.

When it happens, I will far gone. Tribalists should get their visas. I THOUGHT THEY ARE ONE WITH THEM...DID THEY OSUN MEN RETALIATE? LETS WATCH AND SEE CaptainOjemba: No fewer than five persons were inured on Wednesday when some Hausa youths at Sabo area of Osogbo allegedly attacked some Yoruba living in their midst.
Residents of the area told our correspondent that trouble started around 1am when some hoodlums, suspected to be of Hausa extraction, stormed residences of Yoruba in the area and attacked them.
A resident of the area, who identified himself as Goke Ogunseye, told our correspondent at the scene of the crisis that some Hausa youths were allegedly smoking Indian hemp around midnight and somebody flashed a torch light on the smokers.
This, he claimed, angered the hoodlums, who started vandalising shops and houses, belonging to Yoruba people in the area.
But the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Folasade Odoro, when contacted on the telephone on Wednesday, said there was no crisis between Yoruba and Hausa anywhere in the state.
The PPRO said, ” There was no crisis between Yoruba and Hasua. I don’t know where you got your information from.”
A woman, who identified herself as Iya Tawa, said she and other occupants of the house were sleeping when they heard a bang on the entrance door.
She stated that the door was broken by the hoodlums, who threatened to kill them.
She said, “We were sleeping and suddenly we heard a bang on the door of the main entrance. Some Hausa youths, wielding cutlasses and dagger, trooped inside the house and said ‘here are they, they are the Yoruba people we are looking for’.”
She added that the prompt intervention of the police saved them from being attacked
She alleged that five other persons living in the neighborhood were injured by the hoodlums.
Iya Tawa said those injured had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The woman said the hoodlums, who fled when the police team arrived the scene around 2am, later regrouped to continue their attack after the Police had left the scene.

Jobs/Vacancies › Would You Take Up This Offer If You Were In My Position? by tonychristopher(op): 4:34pm On Mar 11, 2015 |
I just want to know what you think of this..i went for an interview and I met this lady, I must say she is very nasty and the people that I met in interview room told me that she has an attitude problem. I called them bluffs. Now when it got to my turn to be interviewed, I realized that the lady is just daft. The job was to be market personnel in another city and that place isn’t where I am based. To get on my nerves the firm is run by Indians or these Asians and I must be honest I detest working with them. I have had a lot of nasty tales about them. To cut the long story short, the lady told me that I will get to another level of interview, after that If I am employed that they will give me a target of 150 million to sell some damned electronic in one nasty northern zone and Abuja. That they expect me to hit the ground running. I just looked at her, I laughed. I asked her what about my accommodation, she said that I am expected to cater for my accommodation in the new place and new town and if I don’t meet up the target the first month that I will be fired. At that point I got so bitter with her nasty attitude, I told her point blank that the electronic product isn’t a premium product and for me to market that product I need to study the market and competitors. As an igbo man that understand business and street marketing. I need to taste the waters. ..
To cut the long story short…I told her that I am not interested in her(their) offer. She was dazed and surprised. Maybe she have been used to people been desperate for jobs and enslaved, as for me hell no!!! I went back to my office. Now the question I want to ask is that have you ever rejected an offer that is ridiculous and enslavement job in from of the interview person? Let’s talk about it so that those looking for job should understand what dignity and ego means, but this should be only when you have a job at hand. |
