Phase 4 truly isn't the best, looked like marvel got to a high point and started declining... Wanda vision was nice, but their theater releases have been competition to be more shitty than the last, from black widow to MoM... None of them is exceptional. I hope black panther 2 and Ant-Man 3 is better, I love those.

The crux of the matter is that you started by deriding emotional movie reviewers, and then went on to make a negative post about Marvel movies.
Doctor Strange is an objectively good film and it pains me that you called it subpar without giving good reasons.
I would just as easily be pained if someone called The Batman a shitty movie out of the blue.
As a lover of good CBM, if you critique one without giving a good reason, it automatically sets me off.
Doesn't matter if it's DC or Marvel, I will react exactly the same way.
BTW, I never said my opinion mattered. I was just pointing out how futile our opinions are in the general scheme of things.

I don't wish for this to be a back and forth, I already said I gave comment on Dr Strange MOM a while back, that's the reason for the shiity-ness I gave it.

At least you've accepted that you were being emotional, I'm not judging you, I'm only trying to pass my point. I don't allow emotions to cloud my stance on anything, I try logically/factually but movies can't really be 100% reviewed logically with fact because the numbers don't always tell the story, hence the difference in opinions even from the highest critics.

Making a negative comment about Marvel movie is me being critical about their past movies, doesn't mean I hate them. I've said a million times that I'm still going to see Thor, why would I waste my money on something I hate? By the way, I'm not playing down your opinion, I'm just trying to let you know that it will always differ, we can't all think the same way. Either I downloaded it or saw it in the cinema, my opinion will remain what it is, MINE.

By the way, I'm a big marvel fan doesn't mean I don't follow DC. My best CBM is Batman: Dark knight followed closely by Captain America: Civil War while the best fight scene I've ever seen in a CBM is THAT Batman vs Superman epic fight...

PS: I love The Batman, it's my best CBM so far this year...

PPS: I think trying to downplay the high sea pirates is a bit of a double standard because I'm sure everyone here has downloaded a movie online at a particular point, there's no need to attack us.

The same Doctor Strange 2 you called "subpar" is an objective success story.
Its word of mouth is B which implies it's a very good movie even if it's not excellent.
It means moviegoers loved it.
It might not have made a billion bucks but it's due to it not getting a Russian and Middle east release.
So as you can see, your tagging it "subpar" is just you being emotional.
Calling it subpar is another way of saying it's shitty, just like that, that's the end.
As for Thor 4, while you're here projecting and claiming that Marvel is losing fans, its current word of mouth is B.
This is good news because it implies it's relatively well received by moviegoers and given time, will do the numbers.
The reality is Marvel is nowhere close to losing fans, if anything, it's gaining.
Many of you here in africa who get their movies on the high seas think your opinions mean shit?

I already reviewed Dr strange sometime back, hence my "subpar" conclusion. I just didn't jump to that.

Reading this reply also showed you're just being emotional about marvel movies. I'm a big fan of marvel, I've seen all their movies but I don't comment with emotions. The few good things about marvel phase 4 movies are the graphics and sometimes acting, the fight scenes, the plot, the direction and many others things have been below par, considering how marvel's movies were.

As for Thor 4, I've read trusted reviews (not just nairaland garbage) on the plot, the delivery, the acting and the likes, like I said, the acting seems to be the highlight. I'm still seeing it on Wednesday.

Also, I'm not sure any movie goer opinion count on here so calm your nerves. Your opinions do not matter too, that doesn't mean you can't opine on what you want. At the end of the day, it's just a movie, just entertainment, enjoy, argue, laugh and move on, doesn't have to be more than that or send subliminal shots below the belt.


Note: a movie going on to make crazy money doesn't mean it's good just like movie making shitty money doesn't make it bad. I'm sure you know this though but your emotions won't allow you accept that fact.

Thank God I saw Jurassic world Dominion before coming here, I enjoyed every second of that movie, Everything everywhere all at once, I couldn't watch one hour of the movie, yet they said it's good, hehe

One thing about movie review here is that there are many reviews done with emotions. One has to review and)or critique with reasons but someone here will just give 3/10, say it's shitty, just like that, that's the end.

Anyways, enjoying movie is subjective and to each it's own.

I enjoyed "last seen alive" yet online movie reviews all said it's shitty. I'm waiting to see Thor (love and thunder) on Wednesday, let me see how marvel will impress after the subpar money grab called Dr Strange 2.

After Thor (if it's as bad as many review), maybe marvel should just forget phase 5 because there have been too many below par movie in phase 4. The fact that they still make buckload of money won't change their approach anyway but they should know they're losing fans.

Probably the most daft Marvel movie ever...

The storyline was stupid, the only thing worth noting is the graphics. The interpretation of multiverse wasn't convincing sef.
Seems marvel is just looking for reasons to bring old actors back into their movie, did same with spiderman last year...... shitty storyline.

I played it on PS 2 around 2006 thereabout... Later watched the movie many years after. Legolas arrow was crazy in the game that year, with his 2 swords.

Lol... Truly, the movie is confusing but it's very interesting.


It's the right illustration for TOTAL CHAOS, ABSOLUTE JOY. The movie is great, lived up to it's expectations.

One of the few main Chinese cast movie that I've enjoyed... The multiverse part is also beautiful, it's beautifully written that they compliment each other nicely.

Omoh, the actors did a great job, I love "mummy" Michelle, she's a joy to watch. A beautiful woman, funny, skilled in martial art, great in emotions and all.

Her on screen daughter is also a very nice actor.

The father nko, a very good actor, that man reminds me of prime Jackie Chan, just that Jackie is funnier..


The way the actors switch when moving from one universe to another is a joy to watch, changing tones, styles, skills and very smooth at all.



To think this movie was shot before COVID-19, the multiverse story was well told, no be the rubbish wey dem dey do for multiverse these days, eg Marvel.
Movies like that should be making at least $300m just for it's chronological order.

This movie is 9/10 for me.
Don't watch this movie in anything less than HD or 4k if you can, there's too much you won't want to miss.

Tope you say graduate first lol.I am a structural Engineer COREN certified ,I have been there and seen it all,most Nigerian lecturers are not impacting anything on the students,its the student doing all the reading for themselves to pass exams.I did a design course in 500 level the lecturer didn't come to class up to two times before exam,a design course for that matter.Now That same lecturer do come to my office to huzzle for consultancy contract, I just shake my head.

My bad....you have no idea how impressive it is that you calmly replied and explained yourself logically.

Now, to the matter, I don't see what you wrote as a problem of ASUU... That's just a lecturer who knows nothing....I know there are more of such but the matter at hand is that, ASUU is a union that protects the right of thousands of staff across the nation. Even though I believe they're too corrupt and daft, I believe the Union is needed because if well used, the union can help create a good learning atmosphere for students through their dialogue with the government.

Guobe, graduate first..... You'll start seeing things from ASUU perspective. That's if you're an undergrad, but if you're post grad, you should understand the unfairness and useriousness from the government.... They only loot, instead of working.

It's a shame sinkhole.... I remember having countless back and forth with you and another user here over who's to blame during the last strike in 2020 pandemic. I was a final year student then so you should be able to understand my frustrations at ASUU.

Clearly it's only the students that loses, that's why students will never understand ASUU strike. Anyway, it's a shame that we're here again some 2 years after on this same ASUU strike, clearly we have a daft government and we need massive overhaul of the accountant general office to the ministry of education in order to solve our problems.

Hopefully it will be very soon.
