Rule 4- Stay away from Nigerian ladies... They have nothing to offer you. I don't mean, you shouldnt talk or discuss with them..They are looking to prey on you because no one looks their way at this phase.

Nice thread so far but you make it sound like all Nigerian ladies are there to prey on the men. Yes you can explore many options for dating rather than narrowing it too quickly. That is ok advise

There is no need dissing naija Ladies. From the beginning of your write up, we already know you are attracted to 'beautiful' polish girls that can pluck your eyes.

Please don't let them pluck your sense too. Your 2 younger sisters and family will relocate someday and you don't want some guy having same myopic impression of them.

Just respect your naija ladies even if you are more attracted to oyinbo. You don't need to bring anyone down. There are some white men interested in black ladies too, so respect choices and people.

Same impression that you think naija ladies are 'leech' is the same impression that the polish lady's friends and family are warning about you. even with your multinational.

And if your desire work out and get married to one of them, if you keep dissing your naija women, they will help you to disrespect them too....until it hits home. remember you gonna have kids that may not fit in either world and you will have to educate the kids to love themselves.

Why don't you guys create an app for directions via public transport (walking, bus, Okada, keke Marwa options). And that can be used by all phone types.

Kindly include me as a shareholder/Director.

My 2 cents.

Crime / Re: I Didn't Kill My Wife - Ronke Shonde's Husband by topetall(f): 8:32am On May 09, 2016
He is lying.
The first excuse 'they' always use is that the lady was having extramarital affairs.
They know that will get sympathy from other guys
'they' also say any other things that can tarnish her image
And make the public feel sorry for his miserable life as a husband
But I can tell you for free. They are all lies.
"The affairs, she is not domestic, she does not respect the in law, she is a bad mother, she does not spend her money on the family blah blah blah
She may not have given the family as much attention as a housewife.
I wished she had a diary that the police will find
She may have been the bread winner and he just couldn't handle a beautiful, successful and matured lady.
It is not a must to marry.
I'd you don't have the fruit of the spirit, waka!!

If you cannot cope with a beautiful, successful and matured person because of your insecurities, please don't marry

Marriage is about 2 incompatible people making marriage work
It is not enough to be in love or be attracted. It takes conscious effort to be kind, to have self control, to be gentle, to love even when your partner has wronged you.

There is no excuse for verbal, emotional. Physical abuse.
Learn to have meaningful discussions. It is always all about being right. Listen to what she say. It is okay if her opinion is different from yours.

Some arguments are about mundane things that results to beatings
She doesn't cook 3 meals a day, she is not domestic, she did not respect my family, she did not spend her money on me, her family does not regard me, she is always against my opinions.

There are 1001 ways to resolve an argument without a slap, an abusive word or keeping malice

Don't withhold your love, affection, money, Care giving, respect, regard, because you are angry

Anything coming out from our nose, mouth or ass should be disposed privately, (not in the gutter, road, sidewalks). I hate seeing nonesense on the streets. People already have a lot to deal with the noise, drainage and air pollution etc. We can't be hopping the streets too!

It is also a norm to throw refuse on the street ( satchet, gala, anything and everything)

Please let's make use of the conviniences and refuse bins. Thanks.

Romance / Dating An Enterpreneur by topetall(f): 4:00pm On Dec 13, 2011
Am just wondering if there are any challenges young entrepreneurs face while dating. It is quite different from a 9-5ver( who after coming back from work just gist about his work, boss and colleagues at work- he is not worried abt the inside stuff as long as he gets his salary at the end of the month. An entrepreneur  just starting is usually serious minded, careful abt money, time and needs all hands on deck including his/her better half. I just want to know the challenges and good sides entrepreneurs face while dating.  As a guy, would you prefer your wife/girlfriend as an active partner- and i am not talking about the usual encouragement 9-5vers give but total full support/partnership. for example pastors and their wives, Segun and wunmi obe, raymond and tosin dokpesi, etc. those not in the same bizness would u have preferred otherwise. thank you

Politics / What Is Amosun Doing Concerning The Flood Issue In Ogun State? by topetall(f): 3:12pm On Jul 22, 2011
What is the Ogun State government doing concerning the flood issue in Ogun state. Cos all have been hearing in T.V stations, forums newspapers concerning the flood issue Fashola’s this –fashola dat. Amosun should not think that whatever is done in Lagos would automatically solve Ogun State’s drainage problem. I live in Ota (move from Opebi to Ota few years ago) and I can say there are no drainages in Ota. Individual house residents dig their own gutters and if neighbors feel they cant afford it, then whatever has been dug is practically useless. At least Lagos State can talk of clearing drainages. In Ota, there are no gutters if there are- then we av it for some few meters( this gutters are usually filled with sand and refuse) . The Ogun State Government should look into this especially Ota. The situation in Ota is disappointing, one would expect the industrial hub of Ogun State to be more developed than it is. People talk of influx of people from Lagos to Ogun State but Influx is not as rapid as it should have been. Most people will rather stay in lagos cos of the few amenities available- good/bad road, water, drainages, refuse disposal sys, entertainment /recreational centers etc. the poor state of the idiroko road and tollgate area cause a lot of traffic so why would one want to reside in Ota and work in Lagos. With roads in residential/ commercial areas more people (high, middle, low income earners) would be willing to live in Ota, there would be more developments, cinemas, eateries, amusement parks, etc. The influx we av are touts running from oshodi and other areas to Ota.

Four years ago, the major part of Ogun state housing estate corporation, Ota was flooded during the rainy season. we were told there was a dry lake within the estate and overflows every whatever year. The solution was for a deep drainage to channel the excess water out. The state owned estate cannot boast of a single tarred road/ drainage. The residents complained to the authorities and for like a week or two we saw diggers dig some few meters drainage( without channeling it out) four years later we are still expecting them to complete this project. The flood issue has made people hesitate to own houses in the estate. It was prayers that we av been using to stop a recurrence. Now the 1 month in a day rain has definitely caused another flood ( guess a lot of the prayer warriors were not present). I hope, really hope, this government will really do something. As for me if Amosun doesn’t solve this issues in Ota and just concentrates in Abeokuta commissioning bungalow 3x3 buildings as Daniel did, then no ACN anywhere.
NYSC / Some Nysc Staffs Are So Rude by topetall(f): 3:38pm On Jul 14, 2011
Some of the female junior staffs ( the ones u meet on a regular basis for monthly clearance, inec stuffs, relocation etc) are always rude to corp members. The other day, I wanted to apply for relocation and when I approached a woman in the mobilisation office, the look she gave me told me something was wrong. I summoned courage and asked about relocating only for her to ask me why I wasn’t fully kitted. I was like aaha so that's the problem cos I was already thinking a young lady ran away with her husband. I went back fully kitted- cap, jacket, trainers and all. Still the same attitude, ( I don't want to brag abt my qualification or age) but this woman dealt with me to the point i was actually in tears. she sent me to buy recharge card and another sweets. Only for me to return and the other who sent me the sweets flung the change saying it was dirty, I was like haahaa, she corrected herself and picked her money up. So it was Go --- Come, correcting, flinging of the forms, making fun. All out to,
the basic problem was that applying for relocation through the local govt secretariat is different from apply through the state or directly from abuja. And I should have asked her the process but the eye she gave me initially made me just ask for the forms. So I put the blame on me that day. But thru out my adult/uni days- with profs, lecturers, parents families, even enemies-av not been treated in such a manner.

I heard from some guys the following clearance day on how they were badly treated too. Abusing corpers on top alawii clearance. they would even send you puff puff and complain on your arrival. I really don't know what the problem is. This all happened like two weeks before the so called increment in the allowance. Some corpers are not paid anything by their employers, some as low as 3k, some 7k then so called very good places pay 15k. So maybe this staffs value corpers based on that ( i dont know, just guessing). Or they are jealous of us, Or they dont know the value of a grad student( since the educational system is on the downside and some grads cant even write their name)

But I think its because of us they are there working and we should be treated equally with respect and dignity regardless tribe , race, marital status, sex, finances, qualification whatever. Some corp members don’t receive love from their office and home cos he/she is regarded as a foreigner only to come to the secretariat and receive the same shit. They ought to act as our guardians and the staffs shd be welcoming since the secretariat is like home away from home. I am very sure if that woman had spoken to me as a mother and a friend advising me to stay, I just mightav desided against relocating cos I was aving second thots and Kaduna is peaceful unlike what outsiders think.( as at today). And Hausas/ Northerners should not be relegated to security man, suya man, tomato seller, labourers and when we see some in top positions we think they it is not by merit. My stay here has changed my perspective of things. Some are as educated/intelligent as any southerner, kd can be compared to Ibadan- many GRA’s, tarred roads, beautiful houses. I was at Ali- Akilu( Kd North and i know all of Kd is not like that) I would post pics later.

So how are the NYSC staffs like in other states?

I am not looking for an admission to the school. I've just completed a master degree programme there and am not planning to go further. thank you. So am just doing this for the students and there is no money involved. If you have challenges with transport, accommodation, etc. The department will take care of it. But I don't think that is a problem.

happy new year everyone. I am trying to push the department (archy- OAU) to organize regular seminars for the students. The students need mentors ( architects that are passionate abt their work). I think these students can be educated to love architecture while still in school and they can also be trained to av good skills in archy. The seminar is not going to be abt politics in archy but abt educating these guys with good design skills. Some of the seminars might require videos of construction process, bldg components, animations etc. there could also be seminars on other design related fields like stage design, photography, animations etc. So am writing to ask if there are alumni that are interested/ or alumni from another school but you have a passion for teaching architecture/ design and you are looking for an opportunity. We would really appreciate your lectures. Also, if you know other people that would/ might be interested please reply. Our lecturers in school are really trying but cannot do everything. Students also go on excursions and IT's, but I think more can be done in improving the quality of graduate architects. thank you very much. we need you guys.

Education / Contemporary Architecture by topetall(f): 4:07pm On May 16, 2010
Hello dear friends,
Am writing a research on influences of vernacular architecture on contemporary building practices in naija. I need case studies on buildings that have some vernacular or traditional elements in them.
Too often architects and planners are oblivious to the true nature and potential of African urbanism: clustered pavilions around open activity spaces; a responsiveness to climate and place; the simple, straightforward, honest use of materials and articulation of forms; a hierarchy of spaces, thresholds and circulation routes; subservience to, and respect for, the natural environment; a disregard for European Renaissance-like uniqueness; respect for neighbours, the fabric and custom; a quiet composition, and colours and textures that blend rather than compete.
For example, the natural history museum in OAU, Nigeria-still under construction and former oau cafetaria.
so please i need more case studies( in nigeria)
thank u

mike u sha made it. i really wish u use that flow of style u exhibited in john legend's song. but for this naija it might not sell like dare art alades songs. the economic situation in this country wont allow one 2 sit down and enjoy the pleasures of good music- jazz, soul, r nb, real cool music. it is not until u are jumping up and down like a frog, u know up in the club, wine, babes , chilling, butts grinding and winding dont forget a new slang and dance steps--- then u gonna sell cos u gonna reach the grass root who are struggling to survive, reach out to the middle class and rich who are trying to unwind dey luv when dey hear notes of sex, money, power.( do me i do u) its all good

wish it was desmond rather than madonna as top five

nicholas-- guess they were afraid to give u 1st cos u wont release a music with all the girls butt shaking, wine and all. probably on the hilltop with a chuch at the backgrd singing if i can fly. wish u d best, improve on ur communication skills, be confident in whatever u say(press meetings) dont pretend, u can only b u. improve on ur moves, some ladies just love cute face, lips like justin timberlake. dont try to be or talk or play funny like mike, just add some things and be confident. cheers.

krimi really dont like ur tears-- like when u voted desmond out. but u do av a great voice. u av improved. wish u well.

tomiwa, guess u were shocked. just make sure u give the car to ur wifey.

its a good thing david is out. though his last performance was really cool. wondering who will be evicted next. someone just gat to go but who?
TV/Movies / Re: Project Fame West Africa Season 2 by topetall(f): 5:30pm On Sep 16, 2009
my first runner up is out -samentha, sorry u are so strong. i actually tot u were the strongest lady, krimi is just now learning how to control her deep voice. i really don't know. guess they don't want the show to be predictable. maybe, just mayba david might be d winner. thats gonna be a shock of the century. i just hope the faculty saves someone other than madonna-d house can save her. bet david's family have probably fasted, annointed his picture, given it to a bishop to bless it, and finally covered it with a mantle.
TV/Movies / Re: Project Fame West Africa Season 2 by topetall(f): 7:11pm On Sep 06, 2009
todays show was interesting.
nicholas did very very well, he is da bomb.
tomiwa also performed well
i was hoping samentha would b the third person not on probation cos she really did well.
i didn't really feel mike's song(vocally) at the beginning the faculty tried to polish him to reduce his over swagger thing. i don't know, i think it is just his style (tuface, dbanj, durella style-hip hop) dat john legend's song really made me see the star in him.
dis david sha, he no wan go sha, guess he is a fun loving person in da house. i still prefer desmond 2 him
i guess the faculty tutors all have their favourite. i think madonna was really seriously defended by one of the faculty tutors
my top 4 is: nicholas, samentha, tomiwa and ( i really dont want to put mike)--------
TV/Movies / Re: Project Fame West Africa Season 2 by topetall(f): 6:26pm On Aug 30, 2009
Desmond messed up 2day, hope it wont cost him an eviction.
tomiwa has been so consistent-- keep it up
mike really did great with john legend's song--- the guy with d swagga
cute nick is up 4 eviction-- i know he will perform better next week
TV/Movies / Re: Project Fame West Africa Season 2 by topetall(f): 6:41pm On Aug 29, 2009
today was very touching with Anis leaving. very emotional. i think david should have been the one to go. mike and samentha just had to connect by force today after last weeks warning. i just dont know why it was only the Nigerians david and mike that were allowed to sing in cool fm's studio, ididn't hear samentha and anis. i hope they edited it because of time and they actually sang.
my sisters love nicholas, they think he is cute, he's got a nice voice too.
