There was a coup where they said Igbo officers killed leaders of other Regions, but still Igbo officers like Aguiyi Ironsi and Ojukwu stopped the coup plotters from killing more Northern officers and nobody commended these men. The Igbo officers only targeted some military officers who controlled strategic positions and civilian leaders. They never targeted children, women, civil servants, businessmen and women, the masses and market women. The Igbo officers had a pure coup, though bloody. It was only few officers that got involved but most Igbo officers did not support the coup. If they had, the North would have been wiped out. However, when the North had their own coup, they started killing children, women, civil servants, students, young men and women, Igbo officers including soldiers and officers who had no control of any strategic positions. The Northern officers had a bloody coup too but they went ahead to commit genocide after they grabbed power. The Northern officers and soldiers joined those officers to kill Igbos. The intentions of the officers from the two regions were clear. Gowon as the Head of States didn't stop the killings like the way Ojukwu and Ironsi did. So, Nigerians wanted Ojukwu to fold his hands and watch as the carnage went on weeks and months without stopping? They accused Ojukwu of starting a war even when Ojukwu did not participate in the first coup. It is only a coward that will fold his hands and watch his people being slaughtered without throwing a stone if you have one. |

Does Buhari actually need any tips on how to start his government having served in that capacity as a military in the past? The APC boast of huge governance experience, and I believe there is no doubt about the claim considering the kind of members they have. However, who gave President Jonathan some tips on how to take off? I hope Buhari is not trying to give Nigerians excuse if he fails to meet the expectations of Nigerians? President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has accused the outgoing Goodluck Jonathan government of not giving him “tips” on how to kick-start his administration on May 29. He spoke on Thursday when a committee from the Centre for Human Security of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, presented a five-point policy document to him at the Buhari Support Organisation office in Abuja. Hours before the event which held behind closed doors, the All Progressives Congress, insisted that the Federal Government was not cooperating with the transition committee set up by the President-elect. Read few of Buhari's comments: “Buhari regretted that the outgoing government that is supposed to give him tips on how to take off has done nothing so far,” Garba Shehu, the Director of Media and Publicity of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, told journalists after the presentation by the committee. Shehu added that the President-elect “thanked the Obasanjo initiative for the gesture, assuring the committee that his incoming administration will be needing advice as time goes on.” Areas covered by committee in the document include the economy, security, power, education and infrastructure. He said that Obasanjo had set up a think tank to carry out a study on the challenges facing the country in the five key areas. The study, he added, was started four months ago “so that the outcome will be made available to the incoming administration after the election.” http://www.jaybossng.com/2015/05/i-havent-got-useful-tips-from-jonathan.html |
Mr Jonathan is now trying to save face from the likely bashing that will come from his people. This Jonathan had every opportunity to bring investments to his people, instead he was busy enriching those militants while majority of their youths were neglected. It is too late to act now. |
I can use computer and do that you called Buahari Restaurant better. It's quite easy. |
No, you made mockery of CBN Governorship position - a whole Central Bank Governor telling Nigerians that $49.9b got missing, and later $12b, and later again $20b, yet Nigerians keeps on believing the trash this clown is puking out of his mouth. Shame! |
This man came to Nigeria and has been among us since we got our independence. He didn’t come to Nigeria without our consent. Nigeria elites invited him, and he came but everybody has been accusing and calling his name alone and attributing the hardship we face in Nigeria to his name alone but the real names of the people that caused this hardship in Nigeria are not mentioned. Nigerians in their usual character have been shouting, deal with him, kill him alone, but they defend and politicize the names of the people who brought untold hardship to Nigeria. Now, Buhari has accepted to kill the man which many Nigerians are happy to hear but the children and relatives of this man he want to kill supported Buhari’s course with the resources they made through their father. Meanwhile, Buhari is still hugging and dinning with the man’s children, and yet threatening to kill their father. I don’t know how possible this will be. But let us watch. Do you think this man children and relatives will be happy to see Buhari kill their father? Do you also think that the man’s children will fold their hands and allow Buhari to kill their father hence his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren he fathered in Nigeria are so powerful? Let us watch and see how the fight against this man will go. If Buhari can’t kill this man but with Nigerians support he can at least push this man out of Nigeria and make his stubborn children bleed. I didn’t want to disclose this man’s name because he is so powerful but due to full guaranty of my life, I have decided to say that this man “CORRUPTION” has been tormenting Nigerians with its attendant’s economic consequences. However, some said this man is not only our problem, but they have not been bold enough to mention others, but only this man I know. You can help get this man’s children listed here and the earlier his children are exposed the easier the battle. At least you can help us expose his children and the likely heir of the man. |
She will not like to pay such amount in Nigeria. Just see how dangerous bush encircle the hotel, and she risk leopard and sun flies eating her flesh. |
Maybe, after your service, you take one year course and join military and deal with them. Though, you must forgive. |

I even said that most children and women the soldiers rescued from the sambisa forest were boko haram children and wives. The boko haram members have not been kidnapping children. So, how come these children were kidnapped and sent to the busy without people knowing and shouting to create awareness? |

APC is just coming to power, with time some of their members will feel aggrieved either because of denying them appointments or the way governance is run or whatever reason, then APC will begin to shrink while PDP will start adding in strength gradually until Nigerians become tired of APC and vote them out like the way they did to PDP. APC is a new wife to Nigeria, and like unfaithful wife, the love Nigerians have for them will die naturally. |
APC must interpret in their own way anything the President says. |
Tottenham Hotspur forward, Emmanuel Adebayor, has accused his younger brother, Rotimi, of stealing shirts given to him by late Cameroonian striker, Marc Vivien Foe and French football legend, Zinedine Zidane and a necklace worth €45,000. The 31-year-old in a latest post on his Facebook page, made good his promise to reveal more atrocities committed by his brother in an earlier post, which had generated diverse opinions from followers of the Adebayor-family feud. The Togolese star had in a post last Tuesday accused different family members of different crimes but had particularly accused Rotimi of stealing 21 phones from other players in an academy, where he was enrolled to learn football. In the latest post, released on Sunday, Adebayor explained in detail all the things Rotimi had stolen repeatedly from him and their mother’s reaction. He also promised to reveal more about his elder brother, Kola, in his next post. He wrote, “Here is another part of the story I have kept inside since. This is about a brother who keeps saying today that I am not a good support for our family. His name is Rotimi Adebayor. “In 2002, I went to play the AFCON in Mali and I had the huge privilege to swap my shirt with Marc-Vivien Foé (May his soul rest in peace) When I got back to Togo, I put that shirt in a secure place. My brother found a way to steal that shirt and sold it. “When I moved from Metz to Monaco, we reached an advanced stage in the Champions League and we played against Real Madrid. It was one of most beautiful day of my life because I was lucky enough to get a signed shirt from the football legend Zinedine Zidane. As I brought that shirt back to Togo, my brother still found a way to steal that shirt and sold it. “When I was in Metz, I was earning about €15,000 a month. I wanted to get something unique for my mom to thank her for all she did for me. I wanted to make her happy. So I decided to take an amount worth 3 months of my wages and I bought her a Cartier necklace for about €45,000. “Rotimi and his friends Akim and Tao made a plan and stole that precious necklace. They sold it for about €800. When my mom and I found out, my mother asked me not to bother because he is the younger brother. “In my house, I have a storage room where I keep some of my belongings when I travel back to Europe. I am the only one with that key but my brother managed to get a master key that was able to open every single door in the house. He frequently stole drinks and other items from that room. “By the way, after I published the first story about him, he called me to say that he did not steal exactly 21 phones. He claimed that the number was lower than that. Still…Is that acceptable? He also added that I should be happy that he stole drinks and other items from my storage room. I asked him why and he replied: “Because I am your brother”.” Adebayor added how Rotimi stole a Play Station Portable from former Cameroon footballer, Jacques Songo’O’s son, who was an academy teammate of his, adding that the incident fouled the relationship between the two families. “I was still in Monaco when I decided to collect all football boots from my teammates so I could give them to people in Africa. I had a huge bag full of shoes. I brought that bag to Togo. A few days after when I decided to give the boots out to the people in need, I noticed the bag full of boots disappeared. Later on, I found out that my brother was the one who stole the bag and went to sell the shoes in Hedzranawoé (famous public market in Togo). “The part 3 is coming out soon and it will be about the man that calls himself the father of the family Kola Adebayor A.K.A Lion of Judah.” http://sturvs.com/289572/rotimi-stole-my-e43000-necklace-adebayor/ |
The guy is making it a big deal. Just kick her ass out and look for some other girl. I can't understand why someone dating his or her partner will be killing himself/herself just because the other has decided to get ride of you. Why must one partner suffer heartbreak? That means you had been dating someone who did not love you and you was just blind to see it. As for me, I respect my partner but once I notice any lack of interest in any girl, I kick your ass out immediately, and tomorrow the girl will come begging. Relationship these days is 50% inside and 50% outside, and at any given time, you can easily walk out and feel nothing. |
odeotito:The Igbo elders stated the candidate they were supporting then, same to Afenifere who also stated their support for Jonathan, and there was nothing wrong with it. The worst was the Oba of Lagos who supposed to have remained neutral like other traditional rulers did not only declare his support for a particular candidate but even threatened genocide against any person or group of persons who tried to vote against his candidate. I think this was the highest level of backwardness and hypocrisy supported with huge bribe he received. Lets condemn that. |
But are you sure the football business in England is profitable, yet many clubs there are in debt? |
So, are they celebrities now? I can't stop laughing. Nigerians pay attention on things that are irrelevant. Trekking for who? It could have been better for them to say they are trekking from Lagos to Bayelsa or Abia State in protest against high level of poverty in Nigeria and that the government must make a promise and back it with action to eradicate or reduce poverty before they quit trekking. But here, nobody understands the reason behind unnecessary self-inflict of pain. |
Why now? |
gratiaeo:Grow up and get sense. If your home training was a mess, then you deserves an apology from me for telling you "grow up and get sense." I am sorry for telling you that man. Ibu onye Igbo, mana abugim? |
Am Igbo and I was really angry when I read that Wole Soyinka made such inciting and annoying comments but I never commented as the insults went on. I wanted to come against Soyinka if I fail to hear his position on such allegation after 4 days. Now that he had cleared himself, it's also proper for my people to retract their insults here. On behalf of Igbos and other Nigerians that received Soyinka's alleged comment against Igbos voting convictions and became highly offended at the Professor - I say, we regret the error in judgment and all the insults meted on your person, and we apologize for the hurt our poor judgment might have caused you. Now, this not about Soyinka, the elections are over but Nigerians are still blaming themselves for voting base on their convictions. To question anyone for voting base on his conviction is retrogressive. This was the only Presidential Election in the history of Nigeria where people castigate themselves for voting who they wanted. There is no love among Nigerians of all tribes, and it has nothing to do with one tribe and this must stop. I understand that some Yorubas {not all} supported Soyinka's alleged comment and it's wrong, but we only apologized to an innocent Prof {Soyinka} and not Yorubas as a whole. |

This is ver shameful to South Africans. |
We need to let our female kids know this:-There are five (5) main dresses a woman should wear in her lifetime. These are: 1) School uniform 2) Matriculation gown 3) Graduation gown 4) Wedding gown 5) Maternity dress However, if you skip the second one you will not get to wear the third one. Never hurry to wear the fifth one just because he has promised you the fourth. Painfully, some wear 1, 2, 5 and occasionally after 5 then back to 4. Did you wear yours as arranged above or do you intend to wear it accordingly? |
Some folks are just afraid because they can't sustain themselves when other regions leaves. Very pathetic that a lot of Nigerians are lazy and depend on others to develop their regions. |
Yes, an eye opener thread. |
They call this woman criminal even when she has not been convicted while known criminals are celebrated. Why not wait till they bring all those that governed Nigeria from 1999 - 2015 under investigation, including all Governors, Ministers, Lawmakers etc Some Nigerians took Sanusi seriously on $20b that was allegedly to have missed. How could a whole CBN Governor making mockery of himself - from $49b to $12b and finally $20b? It is so embarrassing to have had such man in that position. |
lumzybo:So, you got it man? |
It's not easy, working and having meetings late nights and days. |
P. W. Botha speech has come to pass. |
I want Igbos to ignore some people trying to distract you guys. When you reply their posts they feel those posts are annoying Igbos. I don't see any reason to reply those childish posts. It does not annoy me and it cannot move me a bit. Just ignore them. |
