SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB ASSIGNMENT- PRODUCTION TRAINEE

Reporting to the Head of Production, this is a full time hands on management training position where you will be working alongside our department managers and production team members to learn the processes and procedures required to design, develop and build our products. A strong emphasis of this position focuses on production, materials and resource planning. MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 Learn the processes and procedures required to build various components of our final product. This will be achieved through hands-on experience the first few months on the job.
 Ensure proper production methods and procedures are being used and that quality and safety standards are being met at all times.
 Communicate with Production Managers, & other involved personnel as required throughout the product development cycle & escalate issues as required.
 Assist with development of Standard Operation Procedures, development of metrics, process mapping, performing value added/non value added analyses and root cause analysis.
 Assist with and support continuous improvement initiatives and lean implementation events.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

1. graduate of accountancy
2. must be chartered or at the PE III level
3. must have at least 2 years work experience post NYSC in a similar position
4. Must be able to prepare budgets, reconcile accounts, handle issues arising from excess bank charges etc
5. Must be able to propose plans for every quarter to help generate profit for the company
6. Must be detail oriented
7. Must have excellent communication skills
8. Must be a self starter
9. Must have leadership skills
