Felicity001: Bro are you aware gearbox mechanic is different from ordinary mechanic. The problem you’re experiencing is nothing short of what I’d with my car and a gearbox mechanic worked on it and everything is fine. Gear selects well without any issue at all. So try get a specialist I don’t think that your gear needs a change now. Most times a change of sensor could solve the problem.
Just get a gearbox specialist. Thanks so much...really appreciate |

Epphy: Check with your Mec...let him test it. It may just need servicing i.e clean/change oil filter and change oil I have done that already same thing ...just want to know how much changing the gear will cost or if there is any other possible cause. One mec told me the gear is 180k ..another said 70k.... |

topsydee007: Please I need help
My 2003 Corolla is having gear issues it's automatic .. once u move it moves normally and when it enters gear 2 and 3 ..it won't move well again even if u pedal down ..it won't take off like it should especially when u are uphill .. when in a sloppy area. It moves faster but still not the way it should move...
Is it the gear? If I have to buy another gear, like how much does it cost?
Awaiting your replies. Thanks Please help me respond to this |

AngryIgboMan: You can tell your story to the marines Sir! Any driver that listens to this your advise is at serious risk already. Am a realist and I choose not to be cowed into submission by any bagger rider.
What the likes of you and Dru23 don't understand is that we are all different! It all boils down to temperament. I repeat, IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO TEMPERAMENT. Just as our finger prints are unique, so is our temperament. You don't expect every human being to react same way to similar situations. That same I AM SORRY MA from driver A can become THUNDER FAYA U with driver B.
There are those you will never see react no matter what you throw at them. They are so thick skinned and mean.
But there are people like me who react energy for energy. I GIVE POSITIVE ENERGY FOR POSITIVE ENERGY. I ALSO GIVE DARK ENERGY FOR DARK ENERGY. Thats my principle of survival. I will use 3 different stories of my experience in Uber to illustrate.
Experience 1 (Gbam Gbam Gbam Gbam Gbam Gbam Gbam Gbam)
Me: Hello Ma. Good afternoon. You requested for Bolt. Is this address correct and where are you heading to?
Rider: What kind of stuppid questions are these? Oga please hurry because am late. I don't have time to answer nonsense.
Me: Madam, begin to trek to your destination immediately. Because if you enter my car, sorry is your name.
The woman fear cancel immediately.
Experience 2 (Tulululum Tulululum Tulululum Tulululum)
Me: Hello Ma. You requested for Uber. Am at Lateef Jakande. I want to confirm your address is 100001 Acme road.
Rider: Why are you not on your way yet? Oga am tired of these nonsense from you drivers. Am very late for church. 2 drivers have cancelled on me and I will be very angry with you if you cancel.
Me: Madam is that a threat? Hope you know this is my car right and am not your personal driver? You must behave well mannered if you want this ride to happen. Be courteous of your next words because you lack courtesy.
Rider: You must be very stuppid for implying I lack manners.
Me: Madam THUNDER FAYA You. Nkita lachagi gi anya dia
I cancelled and blocked her line with immediate effect.
Experience 3 (Tulululum Tulululum Tulululum Tulululum)
Me: Hello Madam. Good afternoon. You requested for Uber. Are you at 51b blah blah blah Lekky county homes and where are you heading to
Rider: Hello sir. Good afternoon. Please am heading just close by to buy food. Please don't cancel on me as many drivers have cancelled. Am really hungry. Please will you come?
Me: Am on my way ma.
After Trip, Uber said I should collect 330. Seems she is on small bonus. Madam gave me 400. I told her to keep it coz I wanted her to eat more.
Its my car after all and I can decide who to give free ride or not.
MORAL OF STORY
Ehailing in Nigeria is more of survival. You can be nice and die there being nice. Nobody really gives a fucck about you in this country especially in a cosmopolitan city like Lagos where everybody is mad and angry.
Nigerians are highly exploitative. Most of them that are nice to you is because they are already scheming on how to use you for one ulterior motive or the other. You mentioned he was asking the driver if he was married. What has that question got to do with anything?
In fact to me, that driver is very stuppid for entering the woman's house after the job. What if she accuse him of rape? What if she is a human parts dealer or a drug trafficker? You mentioned Anambra. Am from Ananmbra and am not trying to stereotype. But what if that woman was already seeing the young man as a conduit for drugs to Indonesia or Thailand? So many what ifs!
As far as am concerned, my work with you ends immediately I drop you. Infact, I clear call log after every trip to avoid temptation of calling you back or "keeping in touch".
In summary sir, Being nice in the face of obvious hostility can cost you your life in Lagos or elsewhere in Nigeria. This is not Europe. Things can escalate pretty quickly if you don't act smart.
By the way if I may ask, Dru23 that has been saying things about being enduring and humble in the Service industry in order to become a boss... What has he achieved with his live aside retailing Mobil oil amd arguing with people on Nairaland? Your first illustration got me rolling |

Chuwaa: Nay! What of those that speak rudely immediately they request especially when they put wrong pick up addresses? Have you seen where most riders are directing an uber and where they direct a dispatch rider. Same riders that talk rudely to an Uber driver will gently talk to a dispatch rider, why? Both offers services, but because the dispatch rider has his or her item, they mellow, but they see Uber drivers otherwise. It's that boss mentality that makes them do that. I agree with u..some riders are just rude since they were conceived . I have experienced a rider shouting on the phone even when I have not even gotten to pick up location. For me...I simply reply them. If he/she cannot wait for me to arrive or is not comfortable with anything...simply cancel. At times. .giving rider impression that u are not desperate to make a trip will make them calm down .. I hate personally when someone request a ride..let's say u are going to the airport. Your flight is 4pm ..u request a ride 3:30pm especially long distance and traffic route...and u are shouting on the driver to drive like James bond or to jump the traffic. Is it my fault that u left home or office late. Why should I bear the risk of your lateness. I politely tell them am not the reason for their lateness as I can't drive above my speed limit. ..as far as am concerned ..safety comes first....I will also them dem.if you ain't comfortable..I can park so u take another rider. Forget the money....I bet u....they will shut up. |

peeps4u: Dressing isnt in the uber code of conduct and no rider can choose how a driver shoud dress. Who complains about some riders' indecent dressings?
The service is just to take from poont A to point B. If a rider doesn't like a driver's dressing, just cancel and move on.
I'm an advocate of dressing well but i dont think that is the call of riders, another driver might just decide to dress casually which a rider doesnt see as "dressing well" so should such driver be subjected to insult or foul attitudes from riders becuase he is not dressed in what is perceived as "dress well" by the rider?
I agree we should all speak responsibly and that involves riders I never said rider should choose how driver should dress. Either casual or corporate. As a driver, dress neatly ...even if it's native u are wearing. At the same time..it's not about Uber code of conduct. It's a personal things everyone should do. As Yoruba people normally say. The way u dress is the way u will be addressed |

This issue of rider-driver relationship.
Most times before a rider will behave rudely to u..they would have accesed your dressing, countenance and the way u speak. If u dress well, speak well and have a good carriage. 98% of riders will respect u. |

Fiestafetta: Good evening sirs, I'm sorry to bother you people here, I actually asked this question on abuja section but yet to get response. I base in Ibadan but I'm planning to relocate to abuja for uber purpose but my problem is that I'm not familiar with abuja roads. Though I have visited abuja on many cases but never drive on abuja roads before except driving all the way from Ibadan to lugbe . So please, how can I be able to cope with the challenges of unfamiliar roads and how possible ways can it be helpful for me? thanks for your anticipated response. It's not a big deal. Rely on your map to start with and then u will get familiar with the roads. U will experience less issue with police and all. There are lesser one way in Abuja ..roads are good and wide. Streets are named. Don't be sacred. Nobody will disturb u wherever u park while waiting for request Note: ..don't break traffic rule Don't pick rider from normal bus stop. If the pick up location is major bus stop, tell the rider to walk foward to avoid agbero people. I drive in Abuja. |

kingreign: I'm in my house, come bite me. Kapish. Wanna support rubbish. What happens to the injured and her health? Due to his poor driving skills or attention he caused an accident and as an ehailer this isn't supposed to happen. When any passenger or item is in your car, you owe the people the responsibility of safe trip. This he failed, she can actually sue and he'll get punished for it.
Next time think and ask properly before engaging in a discussion that's above your comprehension. God is indeed a merciful God. That's why He made u human. If not na zoo u suppose dey. As an ehailer, accident should not happen like he purposely had an accident. Did u even think of that and processed it before saying it? There is indeed animal in human form |

Business › Re: Money Lending Platforms In Nigeria: Which Should I Partner With? by topsydee007: 5:17pm On Sep 22, 2019 |
ibechris: I started loaning money far back in my secondary schools days and Immediately I completed my NYSC about 9years ago,I got a bank job where I worked for 4 solid years. Interestingly, while in the bank,I met a colleague who taught me about the loan business of a thing that was in 2012. After the tutelage,i invested the sum of 300k out of 360k I had saved during my University and post University days, luckily, for me I have been able to rake in good sums of money in this business. The major factor to consider in this business is risk, I mean evaluate ur potential risk and be close to the business person u want to lend the money and after which,u might allow referral to do the remaining work. I don't have many clients as I write u,but the few they are,the solid and reliable they are.
To be honest with u,I resigned by Bank work about 4 years ago because I needed time to work on the business, however,I succeeded and after about 7 and half years in this business,I have made made close to 30million naira which about 10million is in landed property which I bought three in Abuja and one in my village. I was also able to secure a job back to govt office, for my brother and wife through this lending business. It might sound so interesting or possibly unreal but that is my story,I did it and today I don't have to rely on my salary any more. To shock u a bit,I make N1,000,000 (one million naira every month). If I can do it,u can do better. And mind u,u don't have to work in the bank before u can become an expert in it.
I had always been lending 50naira to pay 100naira back in my secondary school days which was the only knowledge I had before I was employed in the bank...go ahead with ur plans and don't be discouraged.
U may not need to partner with this people or lenders,I feel u need to take the hard risk yourself by starting with a manageable sum to test how the business is. Always remember to diversify when the business starts moving fine.
Bye and goodluck. Good evening sir, That's an interesting achievement. Am a young man who is trying to struggle for himself. I ventured into being a Uber driver, initially I was on rental but now I have been able to secure a car on hire purchase. But the car needs to be painted and and do other little repairs. Presently I don't have money to do all that. I don't know if there is any loan facility u can offer me sir. My location is ABUJA I will be grateful if you could be of help sir. I will repay weekly or monthly as u might require Will be waiting for your response sir |
