In an interview published by Punch News on Saturday, August 14, 2016, Nollywood Veteran actor, Taiwo Hassan aka Ogogo revealed his reason for venturing into Agriculture.
According to him, piracy has made it difficult for actors and movie producers to get value for their hard work.

Most of the time, a film gets circulated into the market barely hours after release, and it is all down to the activities of pirates, who have denied him and many others of their royalties.
“I just can’t be chasing some jobs that are not worth it now. Imagine going to Ibadan now on fuel of about N30, 000, the producers don’t usually have the fund to pay for my hotel and I will lodge my personal assistants in hotels as well.”
“I can’t commit to jobs that are not worth it. It is not every job that one gets to do at a certain stage in one’s life.”
“No marketer can finance a movie project with a large amount of money.”

I couldn’t avoid it. The calls were maddening. My phone had to be turned off till the matter was resolved in public where it started.

It worried the production that anything I might say as an individual may be misinterpreted further worsening the situation. I’m truly sorry beyond words for the emotional stress and inconvenience this might have caused you. It wasn’t a publicity stunt for me as some might still want to have you believe. It was a huge misunderstanding, misrepresentation and misinterpretation of events of that day and it took a toll on me in ways I can not explain.

On Wednesday, July 27, an email was disseminated to various media houses, claiming that Iyoho was in the hospital after a fire stunt went wrong on set of the upcoming movie “Behind the Wheels.”

Also Photos of Ani Iyoho on a hospital bed also surfaced online.

Iyoho who recently completed filming of the movie “Blurred Lines” in Ghana, returned to Nigeria to film the fire scene.
But now an undisclosed source revealed the alleged ‘stunt gone wrong’ to be a well planned publicity stunt.

“Na lie, Ani is fine. Nothing happened to him,” the source said. “He has been attending several events after we completed shoot. I don’t know if the director is in on this stunt but we discussed something like that a few weeks ago.”

Reports surfaced weeks ago that Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun and ex-husband of popular actress Fathia Balogun, was having some financial problems and that he has stopped attending public events as a result of his financial status.

Balogun, who has not been appearing in his colleagues’ movies for about three years has now returned to acting and some people believe that the actor returned because he was having difficulties meeting up with some financial obligations

Balogun said there was no iota of truth in the report, saying that “some people tend to deceive themselves by believing that they know everything that happens to you as though they live inside your house or they know every move that you make.”

The actor insisted that he would not have responded to the report as there was no iota of truth in it, adding that “if you think I am broke, then you should know that what you think does not in any way affect my life.

Like Popular Nigerian Producer, Don jazzy who introduced the pidgin version of his emojis, Toyin has revealed to fans that her new set of emojis is going to be in the Yoruba language and it aims to promote the Yoruba culture.

‘The subscription based Toyin Aimakhu – themed emoji app is a collection of replications of many of Toyin’s unique facial expressions matched with everyday local phrases and parlance in Yoruba Language.

These unique emojis would allow users express themselves in more fun and relatable ways.
