Those clones were made in Madara's presence, they were to stall him and not for surprise attacks...shadow clones split the chakras among the clones equally so you can't tell which is which..

Seems you forgot or rather skipped the part where he said Madara said he cultivated the DNA using the gedou mazou, so I'd say that with his body should give him 70% of the rikudo's original body and it seems to you that that aint enough to trash Hashirama coupled with the fact that he has a portion of Hashirama's power too.

Even in their rival days Hashirama vs Madara is always a close fight, not that Hashirama always beat him without exhausting his monstrous chakra..

And don't forget knowledge is power and we both know how much of that Madara has in ratio to Hashirama's.
