Many ignorant people and people who doesn't underhand data and aggregate has fallen victim of such nonsense and lies. So far, all the news and data I have looked up have provided that SW has the least poverty in the country but some Ph D on papers who doesn't understand the word ' aggregate and intensity of poverty and stats be forming stupidity. Just the table again. And well, glad Alaba is not on the table. Lmao Below is another table Olodo

ILLITERATE go and get an education or you can my shit Bunch of illiterates that couldn't decipher the different between population and a data breakdown. Lmaoo. Here are the comprehensive stats twisted by the Op hence he omitted Lagos from the Table. 133 million Nigerians poor – NBSTHE National Bureau of Statistics, NBS yesterday said that 133 million (63 per cent) Nigerians are suffering from multidimensional poverty, with children constituting more than half of poor people in the country. This means that two (2) out of every three (3) Nigerians are poor and experience just over one-quarter of all possible deprivations in terms of health, education, living standards, and work and shocks. The NBS disclosed this in the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index, MPI, Report launched on Thursday in Abuja. The MPI is the result of the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Survey carried out by NBS and development partners. The survey was a collaborative effort between the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the National Social Safety-Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI). A breakdown of the dimensions of poverty used for the MPI includes: Nutrition, Food insecurity, Time to healthcare, School attendance, Years of schooling and School lag. Others are Water, Water reliability, Sanitation, Housing materials, Cooking fuel, Assets, Unemployment, Underemployment, Security shock Among other things the report showed that 65% of poor people—86 million—live in the North, while 35%—nearly 47 million— live in the South. “Multidimensional poverty is higher in rural areas, where 72% of people are poor, compared to 42% of people in urban areas.
“Approximately 70% of Nigeria’s population live in rural areas, yet rural areas are home to 80% of poor people, and their intensity of poverty is also higher: 42% in rural areas compared to 37% in urban areas.
Geopolitical Zone
“Sixty-five percent of poor people—86 million—live in the North, while 35%—nearly 47 million – live in the South.

You obviously don't cos if you don't you looking into the both region population and why and how intensification were used and arrived at. Now, this is directly from the stats link. BanyXchi: send the NMPI data then, how can you that tweet is fake? Are you on Twitter at all, it's the large star page and they got their datas from the NMPI themselves. I sent you a link here already, check the MPI in SW compared to SE. You should be more concerned that half of SE are poor which is a homogeneous region which means all the 10 are Igbos. Yes our problem is restructuring, and it's what we must focus on next year. Out of school children in the south I agree which shows how much the SW has regressed but at the same time they have the highest number of children in school and Unis according to NUC. I love NUC stats because of their policy on State of Origin. We still have more educated people than the SE and SS combined. https://witng.com/2022/11/21/sokoto-bayelsa-designated-poverty-capital-of-nigeria/ The dude na running water tap as usual, what a typical village yeebooo man is known for, lies, fake stats, figures throwing about and around without real stats and the reality on the ground. Why does the East have the lowest poverty rate in Nigeria? lozanni: You SW guys always see everything as competition between the SW and SE. The index shows states that are developing well over time (check the 2016 index and compare it to the of 2019). Some states in the top 10 in 2016 dropped out of the top 10 in 2019. The index is meant to be a wake up call to states that are not doing well. It will be interesting to see the index for 2022. Ok.
