Now, this speaks volumes as, the higher the out-of-school children the lower the opportunity to explore education or enroll in secondary school, sit for Waec.

CSTRR: There is nothing holistic about it.
It just picks raw numbers from regions, and Lagos contributes the most.
In most schools in Lagos, almost 70% are non-yorubas.
Surely, you can see why the numbers cannot be attributed to the Yoruba alone. Maybe a credit to the region, but definitely not to the Yoruba ethnic.
It's like voters card in Lagos.
The real achievement is the South East and South South getting 80% pass rates, mostly from govt schools owned by struct religious bodies.
That is the test of quality.
Raw absolute numbers generated mostly from a mixed population, does not tell the full story. At the bolded we all know you configured it from your brain but can that be verified or established with facts? And wait, if Oyo and another SW top the top 10 according to the OP and above SE why not always claim the high percentage in those two states since every states atop are dominated by SE'ners according to the example you gave above? AllDModsAreMaad: Parasites that made your archaic towns look good with fine structures(buildings)?
Go to most Yoruba towns, you can count nice buildings own by them but those own by Igbo people are numerous.

profmallor: This is a more holistic report that captures the true status of education across the country (at least at WAEC level) unlike the skewed report from another thread that positions sokoto as better than any SW state based on pass percentage. Exactly. For any sane mind one could tell the former thread/stats didn't just it at all. |

trutharena: Mouth don de change.
So now Ogun is also part of no man's land?
Mind you, if you put on your glasses, you will see that Oyo state has the highest number after Lagos in the whole Nigeria. But most commentators shouting " the stats are not by origin ' is that SW will always lead the table and it's there based on Jambs yearly stats by the state of origin whereby SW has the most numbers of indigenous people with University entrants and applicants. Ye' all can check the Jamb stats table to confirm this. |

Prosper123: You said in the developed world, here you have to travel and live in those places to know. I don't know how many places you have lived in the country different from your place. For Because we don't have accurate statistics. We are not even sure of our population in the country. Foreigners like Cameroonians, Nigeriens are in the country. Who knows them. Do we have a known record of them. Rumor now has it that some are registering for voter's cards. Who knows what is real. Until you experience it. Our structures for good statistics and facts are porous and sometimes doctored for different reasons. But it's as if you have a personal issue with igbos. If you do, then no need because you can never say anything good about them. I see some good things about other tribes and I talk about them. I only see some bad things about igbos which I talk against. Why are you getting all emotional when I have only stated facts and only reacted to your self-concocted figures. Where in my mention did I insult you or your tribe? Anyways, the rest of what you wrote above is the typical example of what I said earlier one and even if I present you with a foreign or international stats to buttress my point as per poverty level in the country and who's leading and who's below you'll still come up with your usual ' travel and see " which you ibos are known for anyway. |
