I am also anxious to see how my son will handle being big brother after getting all the attention all alone for 3 years.

In all I pray everything will go smoothly, no errors or complications will arise on the day of our delivery, everything will work together in our favour, God will direct and order the minds, heart and hands of the entire medical team to favour us and we would rejoice and celebrate, nothing broken, nothing missing in Jesus Mighty Name. AMEN!!!!

Most definitely you can, but better you see a Dr and let them confirm you truly have malaria, because you have to be careful with taking medications in pregnancy especially 1st trimester

1.I flew Lufthansa Airline and in their defence, all the other airlines experienced one issue or the other so it wasn't unique to them. I have flown their airline at other seasons and experienced none of this. Thankfully they put us in hotels so the inconvenience wasn't too unbearable.

2. I travelled at 31weeks pregnant and my hospital had already collated my antenatal record up until my last appointment. I got a fit to fly certificate at the airport (the nurse basically checks to confirm that you are really at what stage you claim to be, measures your stomach and just issues the card- we paid 10k for this). I didnt experience any issue at all here.

3. No, I didnt try to dress my bump because I didnt anticipate any issues at the POE. If I did, I could have dressed and just said I came visiting. Again, I believe God took control here because it is apparently a problem to be coming here just to give birth.

I arrived Toronto a couple of days ago and was flooded with immigration questions once I declared i had come in to seek medical attention in preparation to birth my baby.

I was moved to a secondary room for further questioning - questions like Why Canada? Why nowhere else in the world? Are Nigerians not giving birth safely in Nigeria? Is the child i gave birth to in Nigeria not in sound health? What exactly is the reason for my choice? Do I know what it cost to give birth here? Do I have all the money? I could go on....

I was already scared though I kept praying for God to speak thru me. It had been a ridiculous 4days long journey with flight cancellations and hotel stay inbetween and really couldn't deal with any further issues. But in all God took control and all glory to Him alone.

My advice! If you are not showing, just say you are visiting (problem here is your length of stay because you have a return ticket). So anyways, be mentally prepared for this- whether you choose to be honest about your intentions, get your story straight b4 you get to POE.

Can you pls let us know the airline you flew that cancelled their flight? Also at how many weeks preggos did you travel and what medical report did you go with, did port health in Nigeria give you any issues? Did you try and dress to cover the bump at all?

IRCC is rejecting applications at a very high rate. Even an agent confirmed that Canada has become a tough market for visit visa applications. Out of 22 applications he processed this year, only 3 were approved,2 applicants over 59 years old and 1 with UK and US visas. The rest were rejected, and 5 people were even banned, though the agent hasn’t informed them yet. This same agent had over 50 successful visa approvals in 2022/2023, which shows just how much things have changed

This is serious 3 out of 50, safe to say majority traveling to Canada now are those with existing visas and just few new ones.

Yes, processing time has reduced and they have UK, UAE and SA travel history, though all expired visas.

For people wanting to know about timeline

My people applied April 24, using the old gckey portal and they got a response today even though it is refusal but it took 1 month for IRCC to process their application, so like someone said IRCC is treating applications just that refusal rate is high reason people haven't really been sharing their timelines as such

Purpose of visit not consistent with temporary stay

My woman is around 36+ gone

But last week she started feeling hot all the time sweating and just three days ago we went to the hospital because She now having loss of appetite, weakness and body pains, waist etc

So we at this hospital now since Sunday evening till this morning they have given her 9 drips saying that it is infection cos her urine colour yesterday morning till now is pink and they're still very weak and breathing like someone on a race.

And most importantly, since yesterday the twin foetoes she carrying has not moved so I'm really worried and confused on what next to do cos I won't not want any complications now or later before it's too late to do the proper thing

From some experiences that have been shared here, most people just apply for visiting visa, as declaring child birth for purpose of visit makes it harder to get visa approval, even though some declared birth tourism and still got their visa approved https://www.nairaland.com/clans

My advise it is 50/50, if you can defend the birth tourism strongly, you can declare, alternatively apply for VV once approved, you can write IRCC to notify them you intend to use the visa for birth tourism

You no dey die oo, pele it is well with you sis. If the pain is too much, better you complain to your Dr, sometimes they are able to prescribe medication to help manage the pain.

Hmm my sister that 1st trimester is always brutal, you just live on what you can stomach and take 1 day at a time.

I practically lived on plain pap, no sugar or sweetener, and it is normal not to have energy for anything at all, it was work to bath, get dressed and have normal routine, thank God I was away from work, cos all I could do was just lay down around the house, so give yourself some grace and do all you can manage for now. By 2nd tri, you will get yourself and have so much energy you may even forget you are preggy.

You need to check if the cyst has resolved, you need to also know what particular hormone is off/not balanced so you know the best approach to follow, but give yourself another week to confirm if you are truly not pregnant, cos sometimes ovulation can change, especially if you are not tracking it

I don't know herbs but in general there are supplements you can get that helps to regulate hormones and help boost overall fertility, the ones I have used and can attest to.
* Omega 3 fish oil ( not cod liver)
* CoQ10
* Pregnacare conception or original
* Folic acid

For the cyst, you can try castor oil pack massage. Check youtube

Also doing some walking exercise, 30 mins 3 to 4 times a week and make sure you are not stressed just relax and remember to commit everything in God's hands in prayers.

This time around my symptoms are very subtle and easing up already, which has been making me nervous. Don't be sad sis, your baby like shakara that's all, reminds me of some mamas here that had same experience and they reached a consensus that girls are the one's that like hiding their gender like this, so if you are hoping for a girl let me say congratulations, baby may just be a girl, but if you are hoping for a boy, let us start fasting and prayer now (assuming preggy can play with food or observe fast ) just buy neutral items if you are concerned about what to buy and plan for when baby arrives to buy other things.

But you know you still have time to check, just relax okay, oya laugh and go at take cold yogurt chop kisses.

I can't even recall many names anymore..but I remember swearest, zaynie, I think few others..it's been close to 10yrs I joined the group.😁. TTC journey of 15yrs, lost count of lost pregnancies.. 15? 17? Maybe more..😄 I think I stopped being active after my Choriocarcinoma experience.

I am hoping most of the people I used to relate with here have gotten results and moved to other groups.

For those still on the waiting list like me, I am here to remind you (as I used to back then😄), that TTC should NOT be a barrier to your progress in life. Do NOT allow TTC to stand in the way of your career, business, aspirations, dreams and all! Let those babies arrive one day to meet a super successful woman as their mother.
