Av been weak and cldnt eat well since Sunday which is so unusual of me(wen not 1st trimester), was gvn malaria drug wich I use dis mawni bt made me vomit everytyn in me and now I see the movement. Seriously happy o

Finally oooo, this malaria drug ehn i had to device a means to taking it, best taken before bed at night, the day i took it in the morning it messed up my system

no be false labour ooo, well they sometimes call it that, but it is a normal occurrence in pregnancy and safe in pregnancy, it is said if you have more than 8 in an hr continuously, visit your Dr but otherwise it just remains braxton hicks and not actual labour contractions.

Officially my tired is tired, no position is comfortable anymore, infact nothing feels comfortable anymore, i know where we are going is not as far as where we are coming from but oti su mi oo edd should do and come, like i should open my heyes tomorrow morning and it is delivery day

Biko l have been having cramps since midnight, Is this the onset of labour or what? Cos my previous pregnancies have always been induction so l don't know how natural labour feels o and Edd is march 25? Should l go to the clinic cos l don't understand

It is possible it is onset of labour especially, if you get relief in between the cramps then you can try timing it, but if no relief between the cramps biko just head straight to hospital, if anything doesn't feel right just go to the hospital to be checked, worse case you will be sent back home after the Dr checks that everything is alright.

Well this one is already getting me worried o, imagine since lastnight , even midnight when I went to pee, and this morning, still hiccups. As human being sef we know how hiccups can be . I already had my bathe, better to go complain at the hospital let them check and say all is well than to sit at home and God forbid all isn't. You get? I almost couldn't sleep all though the night thinking about it and am just 26weeks

Iya baby, it may be your pulse or artery that baby is resting on, hiccups are usually not as fast as pulsing and stops after sometime

Me I dnt even undastand d 3, I sha knw my tummy ll jt do "pump" asif sumtin hit me and attyms it ll jt hold me for sum seconds and relieve me bak... maybe na kick or movement I don't kuku knw, as far as feeling dat and scan says everytyn is fyn den I blv everytyn is fyn.

the holding for some seconds is Braxton Hicks aka practice contraction, sometimes when baby rests on a major blood vessel, you get to feel the pulsating vessel which feels similar to hiccup but faster than hiccups

Rejoice with me, I just put to bed a bouncing baby boy on 5th of March. As FTM, the pain was really unbearable for me, contraction started at 2:40am, I was enduring it until my husband woke up and was like, lets go to the hospital, I said noooo. I don't want to go there and they will send me home in this pain, I wanted to see the mucus plug before going anywhere.

Well, I couldn't eat as I was feeling nauseous..i stayed awake from 2:40am, well when it was around 12:30pm, I went to brush, but I started vomiting, the force of the vomit pushed the mucus plug and that was a sign for me.
I immediately went to dress up and off to hospital I go, getting to the hospital everything went fast, within 10 minutes of entering labour room, I delivered my small handsome baby. I had some tear though but it's part of the package.

BA #team March....baby arrived yesterday. Birth weight 3.2 kg .. I opted for Cs at almost close to being fully dilated.... I dunno what it was but I kept shouting C's...mum and mum in law are still mad at me for it . In fact I started feeling bad about it especially with the harder recovery process . Full bs to come later. Baby swallowed meconium and didn't cry after he came out till doctor removed it Asides the guilt im feeling for opting for Cs when there was no need for it, we r fine

congratulations teamie, thank God for His mercies, babe pls don't feel any guilt ooo, baby already swallowed meconium even with the CS and you hadn't gotten fully dilated not to talk of pushing so imagine what could have happened if you didn't have the CS when you did, sis i would say that was divine direction ooo, stop feeling guilty you avoided a lot of things that could have gone wrong.

Congratulations once again sis, may he be all that you prayed for and more

My sister you are not same with your colleagues oo maybe they don't even know about the maternity leave established by law, but anyways you are in the situation and know how best to handle it, but if na me and we get HR , i will take it up. HRs normally won't allow such to happen, even if no HR i will still bring up with the oga of the company, pata pata he would say no but atleast i will talk and not keep quiet

I suspect the oga or hr is a man cos i can't understand how HR/Oga will be a woman that has given birth will support this type in humane treatment

Okay now, na to report them to ministry of Labour, those ones will call them straight to order. I will just inform them anonymously na for my time them go stop that nonsense if it is me, haba that's modern day slavery na, the law even states minimum half month salary for those 3 months so if it salary that is doing them pay half but let the woman heal physically and mentally first to be productive when she resumes work, how will she even concentrate and take care of other people's children when she is distracted by taking care of her own fa, i mean she is just getting a hang of being a new mum and understanding her new born fa!

This matter just dey upset me 1 month kee!!! some epistomy just dey heal oo, some lochia never even end ha Lord women are trying oo

That's if you choose to buy a foreign bath ma... I bought a nice bath I loved for 4800 (don't laugh). If you want foreign baby things, you will spend foreign money

please can you share the pic of the birth and where you bought if you are in Lagos? I am not ready to spend money on baby birth cos that the most annoying item for me to store

Even if buying plenty clothes, it shouldn't all be newborn. I bought few newborn clothes, moved to 3mnths +, 6mnths+ especially if you see some clothes you like and don't want to let go..
Its that breastfeeding I don't know how to cope with cos my place of work gives only one month maternity leave and I won't like to be going to work with a one month old (some moms do shaa) and power supply here is something else. It is well

One month kee , that is against Nigerian Labour law, no matter what, standard maternity leave is 3 months (6 weeks before delivery and 6 weeks after delivery) and some org allows you to take the 12 weeks stretch from delivery. Lagos state even give 6 months maternity leave with full pay

Why are some employers like this? how will you not care about the welfare of your staff? by that 1 month sef you have not had your 6 weeks postnatal appointment to get an all clear from your Dr, what about CS mothers? they won't have fully healed/recovered by that 1 month

If you have HR pls refer them to the Nigerian Labour Law, on this topic, i am happy to help on this matter

Nothing can stress me oo my sister, thank God i have seen all my siblings have children so i learnt from them what is essential and not essential

You see that baby bath is my biggest issue, there never seem to be good storage for it as in my sisters own just look like it litters their house and i don't like plenty buckets around the house which i already have but at the same time, i won't want to take anew born into adult bathroom just yet, wo the dilemma is real jare but i'll figure it out.

Una even dey buy things outside hospital list, "i laugh in spanish" me na hospital list i follow oo strictly essentials and some items that are also very important, the rest when baby comes and after naming gifts then we'll know what is lacking

No fuel to even put on the gen, body pain everywhere...I made my hair on Sat, I had to loose it in the middle of the night yesterday because I wasn't myself at all, I had to hold myself not cut the hair join sef... you can check baby shops around you or Lagos Island market, you will find different shops selling single overalls you can select from and yes Pep is a good alternative, though i didn't buy any baby item from them cos i already bought packed overalls from Lagos Island

I am also using the Jimpo set, i will just put little in smaller containers to take to the hospital as i won't want to change baby's bathing items to avoid any reaction

I mostly got my nursing bras from Lagos Island market where they sell underwear, cos i found out those sold in baby shops are mostly overpriced without too many options/design.

I bought sudocrem, for bum use since it was stated in my hospital list i will see how it goes

consolation for me same here i am usually not hungry more like i have food aversion, so you can imagine the little i force myself to eat will now result in heartburn again, but i have seen the Dr sha and hopefully it is gone for good

Early this month I woke up to a voice note on WhatsApp from hubby, I played it and it was a recording of me snoring
I asked if that was me and he said yes, I couldn’t believe my ears
Hopefully it’ll go after delivery sha because we can’t be doing snoring competition.

I do feel like throwing up after eating beans and never chop beans since I stopped it in my first trimester, ll rather do moimoi instead of beans but have been craving for beans and fried yam since early this month ooo, dunno how to satisfy this craving like this because fear dey catch me gidigan

Just get your antacid ready after eating the beans, eat early in the day especially when you will stay upright for a long period, don’t go and take it as dinner o, else you’ll hear wen, take lots of water and don’t eat plenty

But if you still have heartburn afterwards just embrace it and no be encourage you chop beans oo
