No University in the UK or US (that's worth it's name) will give a fresh graduate admission do an MBA. Also an MBA from Nigeria (unless it's from LBS) is not going to take you anywhere near an IB firm if you don't have experience.

CFA is quite broad and really will be a good option for him...but he will need to put in tons of hours to study.

You nailed it!!

OP i'll advice you to create a profile on Linkedin. Look up proffesionals in the industry and try to add them; Network.
You should also try and read up stuff on Investment Banking and find out what it's about. Google the terms that sound strange to you. Investopedia should also be you close friend.
When you have a fair understanding of the terms and the industry as a whole; look for the reputable firms and offer your services for free.
Try as much as you can to get into the industry irrespective of the role you are offered; Let your passion drive you.
Once you're in; you'll sort yourself out.
All the best.

Religion / Re: Why Do People Treat The Jehovah Witnesses Like A Plague by TOXTOX: 4:49pm On Nov 20, 2013
....educate us more in this forum. What are the errors you think they usually make? I will personally want to know. Thanx.
italo: I receive them well, even though I'm Catholic and they always demonize my faith.

I receive them with love because they are Children of God and I appreciate the zeal they put into preaching what they believe is God's truth...even though they are in error.

I believe I can do this because I know enough about my faith and their to be able to spot their errors.

Many Christians dont know enough to refute them so they feel the best thing is to avoid them.

Its okay to avoid anyone you choose to, but you can do it lovingly and politely.

We are all Children of God.

Phones / Re: HTC One X & XL Owners Thread Roms,Updates, Apps & More! by TOXTOX: 10:46am On Mar 05, 2013
Thx Seye. I believe battery is not the problem here. I charged it for over 12 hrs before it was powered on. I even changed the battery to be sure it's not battery issue but the behaviour remains thesame. Could there be other problems? what can I do? It's permanently plugged to my system via USB cord and the momment it's removed (even when I close for the day usually at night) it will show "battery low". I need help!!!!
Infoseye:

Hi Tox, welcome to my thread. What kind of phone are talking about here? How many hours did you charge the phone on first use?

My advice to you and others in this situation, please read the manual of the phone you just bought. Some manufacturers state charge for 8 to 12hours depending on phone brand, I personally power off my phone and charge for 24hrs even if the phone says its fully charged.

alright then drain out the battery as in use it until it dies completely, now charge your phone while its off. When charged use this phone again drain it out again and charge again.

Do this twice or thrice, the aim is to try to reset the battery cells this works on smartphones. After then use the phone normally but do not let the battery die before you charge it again.

Most phones batteries do not last longer maily beacuse users are at fault of not charging when due or charged properly on first use.

When poorly charged or used at 20 or 50% on first use the mobile phone assume that's its fully charged level point, that's why even if you charge for 72hours you just how barely 20 to 30mins battery life.

Except the battery itself is totally bad and needs replacing! Hope you find this info useful.

a trial will convince you. Try my auto mechanic. No other mechanic has ever touched my cars for the last 7 years due to his trust worthiness. Moreover, he is a Jehovah's Witness and they are known for saying the truth. Even if I dont know many of them, I can always vouch for him. Give him a trial - just a trial to be convinced. His phone no. is 080 2394 2862 . Wunmi by name.
Autos / Re: Lost Port Documents Of My Prado Jeep - What Can I Do? by TOXTOX: 3:23pm On Nov 30, 2011
, Oh sorry. He sent it through an agent. It was tha agent that absconded. However, I wanted to sell the car and since I've got other two cars that i'm using, I saw no need of adding another. I recently (last week) decided to give my Nissan Pathfinder to some1 as a gift, hence the decision not to sell off the Prado again.

1. The vehicle was adequately cleared fro Apapa by the Agent. I saw the papers then but I told him to take the car home. I however forgot to collect the papers after delivery.
2. Answered.
3. No. I've not reported coz I never even tot of the papers until now that i decided to use it.
4. The Agent - not my brother.

Thanx gulfer. I will expect realistic solution.

Religion / Re: Am Tired Of My Religion (Jehovah's Witness). Help Me by TOXTOX: 10:43am On Jul 29, 2011
I happen to be an active witness and I'm very proud to say that - it's realy a priviledge if you know what I'm talking about.

The fact that the poster is a witness (of which I seriously doubt because this might be  due to the fact that he is looking for cheap / immediate attention on the forum) and he is finding it difficult to disassociate shows that his conscience may still be at work - otherwise, you dont need anybody's advice.

The beautiful thing is that JW's kingdom halls are always open for people that wish to come in and there is free exit at thesame time. The choice is yours. Remember, you are there to serve God and not human.

Now you will be incuring the wrath of Almighty God Jehovah if you lie and you know what that means. You know the consequences of that.

JW is an organisation of people who are ready to serve God in truth. It is never a CULT!!! We do not cast spell on people and neither do we stop people from leaving the organisation.

Like someone wrote ealier, if you are a member and you seize to associate, efforts will be made to get you back into the fold and this is done prayerfully - but if you are bent on moving away, then we let you be. As we know, sometimes satan shows himself as angel of light and thereby blindfold his prey - but Jesus said who is that shephard that will loose one of his hundred sheeps that will not leave the ninety-nine in seach of the lost one? That is where persistence on the part of other members comes in - especially the "Shephards" in the person of the Overseers. They will not be happy to loose any of there flocks - their members, because as Jesus said, they will render an account.

As it is, the choice is yours. You can either choose to go or to stay. Everyone will account for his or her activities when it is time. Most importantly to the poster, I will advice you - STOP LYING!!!

Car Talk / Re: 4-cylinder Engine Vs 6-cylinder Engine by TOXTOX: 1:38pm On May 17, 2011
The only advantage that 4 cyl has over 6 cyl is fuel economy. Aside this, 6 cyl is the best. The mtce cost is not a factor if you get a good one. I've been using a 6 cyl engine car for over two years now that the last time i opened the bonnet was two months ago when i washed the engine. Just make sure it is serviced when due. The only cost I've incured to date aside servicing and fueling was when I changed the tyres. Go on man and get the 6 cyl. You dont neccessarily need to be a BIIIIGGGGG BOY. I'm not one anyway.

Autos / Incessant Accident On Lekki/aja Road by TOXTOX: 5:41pm On May 13, 2011
We may have heard of the unending cases of accident on this volatile road. I use the road regularly (I live at Aja) so this needs a serious consideration and advice on how precious lifes can be saved.

The death of scores (even though the press played down on the number of the casualties for reason that only God knows) of innocent school children on wednesday 11th of may is a bitter pill to swallow and the concerned families will have the better feeling of where the shoe pinches. This morning also at coner b/stop, Songotedo as usual precious lifes were lost. Now the road expansion is on which means yet many lifes will be lost.

1. Can the authority make speed breakers on the road - at least 1 or 2 within a km to prevent overspeeding?
2. Can the authority make a law that will prevent heavy vehicles (tippers and trailers) from plying the road within a specified period of time - say between 5:00am and 11:00pm?

What is your honest opinion?

KOKOYE - You are the Adam. What will you do to your Eve is the question?
Family / Adam and the average man by TOXTOX: 3:33pm On Oct 21, 2010
We always blame Adam for accepting the "forbiden fruit" from his wife. We forget that all of us consciously or otherwise have accepted forbiden fruits from our wifes at a particular time or others. You don't agree with me? Have you ever yielded to your wife's selfish demand (e.g not to offer help to a particular person for reasons best known to her)?

Put youself in Adam's shoes, your Eve has just offered you a good looking and fresh fruit (demand/advice) - what will you do?
Romance / Haba Father by TOXTOX: 5:07pm On Oct 20, 2010
I was listening to WAZOBIA fm this morning when a "frustrated" caller expressed what he was going through in the hands of his lover and his father. It is pathetic.

He informed YAW that he went for an interview at Port Harcourt and promised his fiancee that he would be back later today - but he decided to take the first flight to Lagos this morning. On getting home, he met his fiancee and his father on his bed.

This man is distressed and confused.

If you are the one, what will you do?
