Romance / Why Do We Have Nightmares, And What Makes Us Afraid Of Our Own Thoughts? by Toybreezy: 10:10pm On Apr 09, 2016
:-llo peeps, so I woke up last night all sweaty scared as s**t (excuse my French).. I had a nightmare that felt so real, the pain, the falling was so real that it sent shocking signals that sent me back to life (woke me up) . this inspired my research on why people have nightmares and to give an insight to end the oblivious natures of dreams..

we have nightmares, and what makes us afraid of our own thoughts?

ANSWER

SLEEP

Although it is not entirely known why we even sleep and/or dream in the first place, there are a few rather well accepted theories. First, theories on why we even sleep:

The restorative theory: Being awake and active takes a lot of energy. Aside from eating, one of the ways that our bodies conserves and restores energy and rejuvenates our body is simply by sleeping.
The evolutionary theory: This is slightly linked to the restorative theory in that it revolves around survival and efficiency. When we sleep, we’re not expending much energy, and we don’t require much energy. Thus, by sleeping, we conserve resources to help reduce the amount of food we need to eat. Additionally, it is thought that early humans and our ancestors benefited by sleeping at night because it allowed them to rest while also remaining motionless so that predators couldn’t find them.
Memory consolidation theory: In short, sleep functions as a way for us to take our memories from throughout the day and sort and consolidate them so that we can remember them better. This has a rather large degree of support because some studies show that napping after studying can help increase information retention.

Onto the real topic of nightmares. It’s a fact that people have bad dreams, but there’s (are you sensing a theme here) multiple explanations for why. The strongest explanation has to do with the parts of the brain that are most active during dreams, and partially links back to some of the theories mentioned earlier. Note that all of the brain is active while we sleep, some parts are simply more or less active than others. First, recall that it is the cortex that generates the content of our dreams (that is, the cortex is what interprets the signals it’s getting and turns it into something it/we can make sense of). Another part of the brain especially active while we sleep is the amygdala, which is (ding ding ding) the part of our brain most active when we are in a state of fear. This explains why nightmares are possible, because the part of our brain that responds to fear is essentially on overdrive for one reason or another. Lastly (though there is much more that can be said, I’m simply covering the most important parts of the brain in sleep), the least active portion of the brain during sleep is the frontal lobes, whose job it is to enable critical thinking – this explains why dreams are nonsensical and why we don’t often realize it was a dream until we wake up because the frontal lobes aren’t active and assessing the situation.

All of these physiological processes combined are not only what allow dreams in general, but what give us a predisposition for bad dreams purely from the parts of the brain that contribute to dreaming in the first place. Another consideration to take is that, returning to the evolutionary theory and the problem solving theory, dreams can be considered a way for our brain to play out and determine how to react in crazy, dangerous situations without actually being in that crazy, dangerous situation, so that if it ever does occur, your brain knows how to react without thinking much. Additionally nightmares can simply be caused by stress, due to the stress temporarily wearing out the part of your brain that manages and regulates emotions, allowing your dreams (that are already emotional and nonsensical) to be a lot more spooky.

In my personal opinion. Any girl who wants peace of mind should flaunt virgin look. Guys looking for hit and run flee from virgins. But if you considering to be wayward well you can put on heavy make up etc. Not judging you though

Anyways! I hope its not too late to contribute!
From my point of view, there are two ways to go about it.

1) Explain to your dad bout your passion, if he understands lucky for you.

2) Explain to your dad about your passion again! If he doesn't understand you. Don't prove rebellious keep studying the science course and try to pass. But keep ur passion for business alive as a hobby. When you finally grow and gain independence. The sky is yours to follow your dream

TV/Movies / 15 Interesting Shower Thoughts by Toybreezy: 7:14pm On Feb 22, 2016
15 Interesting Shower Thoughts

Showerthought is a loose term that applies to any thoughts, ideas, or philosophical questions that race through your head while carrying out a routine task like showering, driving, or daydreaming.
1-15 Interesting Shower Thoughts
Hitler
1. The person who would proof read Hitler’s speeches was a grammar Nazi.

2. You should be able to yell “BE RIGHT THERE” to your phone and since it knows you’re coming, it should give you a few extra rings before sending the user to voicemail.

3. I am more responsible with the resources I have in video games than I am with the resources I have in real life.

4. The word “Fat” just looks like someone took a bite out of the first letter of the word “Eat”

5. I’m so afraid of commitment that when choosing a default app to open a file, I always pick ‘just once’ over ‘always.’

Obama
6. There are seven year olds in America who have never had a white president.

7. Humans spend the first 18 (or more) years of their lives getting caught up to speed about what the other humans have been doing for the past few thousand years.

8. I can search the entire Internet faster than I can search my computer.

9. Two decades ago, you couldn’t be sure of contacting a person by email, because they might be too old-fashioned for it. Today, you can’t be sure of contacting a person by email, because it might be too old-fashioned for them.

10. When a pregnant woman swims, she is a human submarine.

11. If super heroes were real, I doubt they’d spend as much time in first world countries, like they do in the comics.

12. Everybody dislikes movie “signs” for having aliens that invade a planet that is 70% water and deadly to them, but we are trying to colonize mars and we can’t even breathe on it

13 My brain knows how to type without looking at the keyboard yet I cannot draw a QWERTY keyboard from memory.

14. People who skip church to watch football probably do more praying than they would have in church anyway.

15. The more serious a relationship gets, the more casual it is.

Seeing as how both Batman and Ironman’s only real super powers are that they are super rich and very smart, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs sure turned out to be disappointments.

President Barack Obama said he still believes Donald Trump will not be elected to succeed him
"I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president," Obama said at a press conference on Tuesday
Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama has a message for Donald Trump— being president is tougher than being on a reality show and the American people are too "sensible" to elect him.
"I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president," Obama said at a news conference in California after a meeting with southeast Asian leaders. "And the reason is that I have a lot of faith in the American people. Being president is a serious job. It's not hosting a talk show, or a reality show."
He went on: "It's not promotion, it's not marketing. It's hard. And a lot of people count on us getting it right."

Politics / Let Us Betray Our Parents For Peace by Toybreezy: 4:19am On Feb 14, 2016
Looking at the leading causes of conflicts in our country today, their inception can be traced back to few years after the independence. Tribal wars, civil war, economy issues, corruption, injustice, crime. These things didn't just start few years ago.

However, it has come to my notice that the people who were not born then are those who suffer the most. Many children do no longer go to school because of the high cost of everything, youths and teens are being mobilized to fight campaign wars and are killed ruthlessly, children are being recruited and turned into suicide bombers. All this are the faults of our parents!!!. Yes all of them.
Those who caused corruption, tribal wars, civil war etc are some of our parents and those who kept quiet about it out of fear and did nothing are also our parents,

They have failed us, do we have to fail ourselves again. In fact! We are already failing ourselves. But it is not too late to change so we don't fail our off springs.

Let's betray our parents and quit tribal wars
Let's bretray our parents and avoid a new civil way
Let's betray our parents and refuse to be used as killing instruments.
Let's betray our parents and shun propaganda
Let's betray our parents by shunning political parties..we youths can unite and be our own political party.
Our parents have failed us, do not let us fail ourselves or yet those coming after us.

Stop being manipulated, stop mindless protests. Do not judge tribes on the stories your parents tell you. Rather consider your classmates, friends from other tribes look at how you people get along regardless of your cultural differences, then you'll realise tolerating each other isn't that difficult.

Its my first article in a while pardon my irregularities.

Health / The Difference Between A Complex And Complicated Person by Toybreezy: 7:38am On Feb 08, 2016
A complicated person is analogous to the tax code or the Windows Registry. This is to say that they are problematic, convoluted, torturous, difficult and inconsistent. Dealing with such a person requires special knowledge of all their difficult ways. Even with such knowledge, errors are likely and are almost certainly met with punitive action. Complicated people often have a serious random element as well-you can never be quite sure how they will react. Well, you can assign a high probability to behavior that leads to conflict and problems, but beyond that there is little that can be predicted. As such, it is wise to avoid such people.

It might be wondered why people deal with complicated people at all. There are many reasons. First, some complicated people are very physically attractive and hence people will put up with their complications. It might be the case that they become complicated because they are attractive-the rest of us have to work on being able to get along with others. Of course, there are attractive people who are not complicated. Second, some people like the challenge of dealing with complicated things. Just as some people really like dealing with tax codes and others delight in tweaking the Windows Registry, there are people who like dealing with complicated people. These people are masochists. Third, a complicated person can often appear to be a complex person-at least initially.

What, then, is a complex person?

A complex person is like an iPod. That is to say that they are consistent, straightforward and ‘user friendly’ while also being rather sophisticated. Unlike the complicated person, interacting with a complex person does not require special knowledge of their complicated ways-because their ways are not complicated. When mistakes are made, they tend to be very forgiving because they understand that people are imperfect. In short, they are mature, sensible human beings.

It might be wondered why everyone is not a complex person. The obvious answer is that it is a difficult thing to be. Being complicated is easy-just find a nice assortment of personality flaws and keep developing them in ways that make you an incomprehensible minefield of unrestrained emotions and poor behavior. At the same time, refuse to accept that anyone else has problems and focus your attention entirely on the most important being in the universe (that would be you). Being complex is difficult-you have to develop depth of character, emotional balance, patience, and an assortment of mature social skills. And that is just the beginning.
