Romance / Re: Why Are Yoruba Girls Difficult To Woo? by tpia5: 3:05pm On Jul 11, 2014
JEITO: No offence meant! But I have always known yoruba girls to be the easiest to woo, followed by hausa girls and then ebira

See?
Romance / Re: Why Are Yoruba Girls Difficult To Woo? by tpia5: 3:02pm On Jul 11, 2014
Tymax:
But really. Why do Yoruba ladies take the "hard-to-get" thing too far?

I find Benin, Ijaw and even Igbo ladies more receptive. At least a guy would have a shot at friendship. But you people make it look like we have committed an offence by "wooing" you.

Maybe you're trying to chat up yoruba ladies who are not the type of women you usually date.

If so, why?

Anyway, he should thank his stars a boyfriend wasn't also waiting for him to show up.

Besides, the story sounds fishy, hope no terrorism is involved.

Its unfortunate education has taken such a downward spiral in nigeria, hence the majority level semi literacy which is the norm these days. Boko haram things I suppose. People just refuse to be enlightened because they consider ignorance a better deal for them personally.

In the olden days, communities ensured they had representatives in every occupation, this went a long way towards achieving your community goals and having a standing when others were talking. You make sure your community is represented in all the major fields of endeavour. To this end, quite a lot of nigerians were specifically sponsored to various institutions both abroad and at home, just to get an education. People were more far sighted then, and understood these sacrifices were not just for individual things, but overall. Doesn't mean everybody got educated, but the ones who did, knew it was for a general benefit, not just a personal one.

If people would look past their envy, individual grievances, mercenary natures, boko haram sponsorship and refusal to be enlightened, they'd work harder towards the above outlined things, rather than focusing solely on pull em down syndrome brought about by bad belle. Families are supposed to be doing what communities used to do in those days, however, it is not so.

yes they will.
Politics / Re: Angola’s Chinese-built Ghost Town – A New Phenomenon In Africa - BBC by tpia5: 5:59am On Jul 11, 2014
This kind of projects will be a major success in nigeria depending on location.without sounding biased, such projects will do better in the southern parts of nigeria if sighted in locations close to major towns like uyo,ph,warri and other areas with economic potential ie sea port, important railway route for transport of goods.

true that.

but maintenance is very important.

Omexonomy: How come a room and palour in the thick jungle of epe and ikorodu cost N5 million naira? And i hope the people buying it are not arm robbers or fraudsters? For no govt workers earning a minimum wages could afford it.

i'm sure you're smarter and wiser than all the people constructing, hence your post.

What is hating in a govt. building houses that 85% of your populace cannot afford?

ogun state is close to lagos state, and the cost of living is cheaper, common sense would tell you to move somewhere which is suited to your own peculiar taste.

you have not proved the houses are ghost cities- if you have evidence nobody is living in them, post it here.

"just because" some sections of the populace cant afford to live there, means the houses must not be built?

where do they get you people with your warped thinking.
