2 Kings 5

17 “If you will not,” said Naaman, “please let me, your servant, be given as much earth as a pair of mules can carry, for your servant will never again make burnt offerings and sacrifices to any other god but the Lord.

18 But may the Lord forgive your servant for this one thing: When my master enters the temple of Rimmon to bow down and he is leaning on my arm and I have to bow there also—when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the Lord forgive your servant for this.”

19 “Go in peace,” Elisha said.

psalm 27:14

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Your situation

1 Cor 7

Concerning Change of status

17 Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.

18 Was a man already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised.

19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts.

20 Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.

21 Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so.

22 For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave.

23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.

24 Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.
sometimes we are called to minister in the situation where God has placed us.

read the passage again, its pretty much self explanatory.

God has his reason for placing us there, or allowing us to be placed there. All will work together for His purpose, in His time.

Eccle 3:1

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven

You dont even know the situation
eod.

personally, i think minding one's own business is the best option in most cases.

its not like all the talk/gossip in the world prevents women from exposing their breasts/dressing half n.a.ked, snatching other people's husbands, men sleeping with other people's wives, marrying an 8 year old to a 70 year old grandma, etc etc, in short, people will still do whatever they want to do regardless of what anybody says and even if you preach to them from daybreak to sunset.

its up to the individual how they want to live their life, do what you want to do and face whatever consequence that comes thereof.

dasparrow: men of decent cultures don't see women who have birthed children in their past relationships as damaged goods unlike the very negative Nigerian culture.

naijaspeak: You have said the truth. Achebe does not deserve this kind of honour. I think the government of Anambra state where he comes from should be the one that should honour him.
since his work was not read only in anambra state, anambra alone cannot honour him.

as per deserving this kind of honour, i suppose you consider yourself a better candidate? huh Based on what please, kindly educate the rest of us since we are all learning here.

i'm seeing criticism upon criticism in the book [not to mention the fact that very little of the biafran info is new, its mostly his experiences which could be considered previously unknown], but the selective readers must have skipped those parts.

Romance › Re: The Good Girls Are Making Matters Worst by tpia5: 5:27pm On Mar 27, 2013
there's nothing to "make worse".

there are countless tales of women who became new creatures in Christ after living recklessly or should i say wildly in their youth.

Salvation is free for all.

the problem most people have is giving up certain lifestyles comes at too high a price- eg friends, influence, money, etc.

and if you've done rituals or covenants, its a tough decision.

why didnt he do that earlier on in the pregnancy? Was he afraid she would abort it?

Poor Pero Adeniyi was just a cheap booty he used to pass time because she was too low-grade for marriage grin.[/quote]it seems she's from a very influential family though.

Celebrities › Re: Pero Adeniyi Spotted In Lagos by tpia5: 3:46pm On Mar 27, 2013
she doesnt look bad in the picture, what's her story?

what caused the breakup with her ex husband? Hope tuface wasnt involved?

just curious, why were they still making babies after they'd broken up- or hadnt they broken up before tuface decided to propose to annie?

i'm currently reading his memoirs/biography [TWAC], but it seems to me details of his origins are quite sketchy.

eg i'd like more info on his parents [when were they born, etc].

info on his grandparents.

(i guess he didnt know).

why was he named chinualumogu.

what was the civil war he referred to, which occurred during his grandparents' [i think] time.
