i read that article and i doubt the church should have the lion's share of blame for black women who are single for whatever reason.

even if its true some women are single because of their religious nature, they can still quit this single status by expanding their horizon and being open to relationships outside of their comfort zones.

and no, nobody can guarantee any relationship will last regardless if you marry early, late, your friend, your enemy, your comfort zone, your unlikely zone, etc.

lastly, i do not believe in the concept of "angelhood" for human beings. We tend to want to give the impression we are saints and everybody else is a sinner, not so.

i am not seeing these "passive" and "subservient" women, beware of outside appearance which has nothing to do with how people are inside.

from what we've seen no nairaland, the phrase is just an empty one which people are prattling aimlessly in an attempt to feel "among".
