Sweetlemon: They claim that I say too much about my man, did I ever mention his name? His profession? What he does for me? Our quarrels? Our private dreams? Apart from him being attractive and well to do, and loving, what else do you know about him? What else have I mentioned about him that is too much information? Apart from him telling me he wants to buy a bed, me spending a weekend with him, and him telling me he wants to ask my father if he can buy the bed what other information do you know about our relationship?
this is funny.

seriously though, what is with this bed fixation? huh

am i missing something?

i've never heard a relationship described in terms of bed before.

Why do some Nigerians also have problems when things aren't disclosed to them?

Whether you tell me about something you about to embark upon is really up to you, and I shouldn't take offence if you don't tell me either.....

In fact; let me add to that. How many permissions are taken from the White House regarding photos of President Barack Obama; while in public; and on public duty?
with intention to malign like you demonstrated here?

do the math yourself.

what exactly is the point of posting this picture on nl?

Video Voyeurism

Schools are banning camera phones because students are using them to photograph tests and cheat. Courthouses are outlawing them to protect undercover police officers who can be photographed while testifying. Businesses like General Motors, Intel, and Lockheed Martin are nixing camera phones as well. Such employers are afraid of James Bond-style espionage, in which employees might take photos of confidential documents and sell them to third parties. And it gets worse.

Thanks to camera phones, a new age of voyeurism is here. News networks have uncovered camera phones being used to watch the unsuspecting UnCloth in gyms, department store dressing rooms, locker rooms, and tanning salons.

These people are having their photos snapped without their knowledge or permission. To compound the problem, many of the unapproved photos are "up the skirt" or "down the shirt" shots where the photographer strategically aims the camera. The victim leaves none the wiser. These pictures are often posted on the internet. In fact, pornographic mobog (mobile blogging) websites exist specifically for this purpose. In almost all cases, the photos are used without the subject's permission.

So, is anything being done to stop this blatant invasion of privacy? In September, the Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 passed through Congress virtually unopposed. What does this mean to you? It means that when it comes to having your picture taken without your permission, you have some rights.

Anyway, let me also use this forum to say goodbye.

No more nl from this moment on.

Bye everybody, its been nice meeting you all, to all my enemies, sorry to deprive you of your reason for existing but you can always find another.

To those who could care less or dont know me from adam, thanks for your unconcern.

Bye everyone.

If every one of the 1 million [or 3700] nlers types up a goodbye thread, that will use up too many megabytes of space nah.

Make una pity seun small abi?

Does the site need a goodbye section or thread so anyone who wants to say it, can just post there?

Politics › Re: Civil Servant Eating Amala And Fish While On Duty At Lagos High Court by tpia5: 4:33am On Jan 30, 2013
Here's a tiny example. About 2 weeks ago I went over to the High Court of Lagos State at Tafawa Balewa Square; Lagos Island. Having practiced as a lawyer there several years ago, i already knew the court had many improvements (there is also a new Multi-Door wing at the rear); and there had been many other modern improvements. When I left practice about seven years ago, I was already very pleased with the many gradual improvements at the court. Not just structurally but also in terms of process and practice and the rules of court.
1. are the people there safe, with the way you're going around snapping pictures anyhow and posting disparaging comments on the internet. Big security breach if you ask me.

2. as per the bolded, why did you leave practice? Are you now at the beck and call of shady nlers or internet figures who require you to troll the web?

3. what exactly is the point of the thread? You claim you saw someone eating amala two weeks ago but the matter is just paining you now.

4. I suggest you get back into your actual field if possible because where you are now, really does not seem better.

Unfortunately, the op will now make a lot of innocent people endure more hardship now, because of his "sleuth journalism" where he snapped a personal picture without the consent if the person being photographed.

And you're a lawyer, you say?

Violating the man's right to privacy and acting like a common tout?

You will soon post a picture of your village chief pounding yam undecided

Well, life is not a fairytale.

Maybe he'll tell you next time.

in any case, why does it bother you so much?
Culture › Re: Why Do Nigerians Have A Problem With Self Disclosure? Blame it on the witches by tpia5: 12:15am On Jan 30, 2013
Seriously though, if even your own relative is cautious about sharing information with you ( eg your nephew story), then that might mean they've been noticing some things which you might or might not be consciously aware of.

For example, maybe you really dont wish others well?

Some people are like that and its not a thing they can consciously control, its just their nature to be negative and anti-other people's progress.

Just saying.

It could also be they dont want certain others to get to know through you, meaning you might inadverdently inform some people who they'd rather didnt get involved.

Have her whereabouts been established?

Her id shows she last logged in june 2012.

So, unless she's been using a different moniker, she hasnt been to nl since that time.

Its rather a stretch to imagine someone who has sold or is selling bmws and other luxury cars, would vanish because of a phone order.

Unless the car sales were a scam, you're saying?

Yes, the issue has been overflogged.

Not sure why people suddenly remember the needy when they're staring at their tithe.

You dont remember the needy at other times, its only when you see your tithe that you suddenly notice them around you.

the essence of having Jesus is he said:

any witch peeking through bb, social media or hidden mike, should try to accept Jesus Christ into their life because satan does not forgive nor forget.
Nairaland General › Re: Why Do Nairaland Ladies Use Fake Profile Pics? by tpia5: 10:17pm On Jan 28, 2013
Shouldnt your question be why do men upload pictures of women and put (f) in their profile, as well as vice versa.

I think that's a more important issue.
