Culture › Re: Real Authentic Yoruba Tribal Mark by tpia5: 10:22pm On Jan 06, 2013
yamakuza: i simply dont find anything artistic in hastily drawn criss cross lines that are used to brand slaves or mark warriors.

If a few whites find them artistic, their eccentricity is very understandable forgivable.
you misunderstood my post here:

If whites could call abstract african art beautiful even when the art looks grotesque, then what is africans' own for them to carry something on their heads like the op is doing?
abstract african art was not referring to tribal marks, but african art as an art form.

tribal marks are not meant to be aesthetic- they are for identification and tribal consciousness.

Christianity Etc › Re: Bible Explains Why The White Man Is An Atheist And Why The Black Man Is Poor by tpia5: 2:54am On Jan 06, 2013
for one, the first passage is singular (one horse per rider), and the second plural, showing they dont necessarily have to be read or interpreted in exactly the same context.

just saying, further study is needed before arriving at any conclusion.

secondly, the latter verses are describing geographical locations, while the former is much more general and not specific to a particular region.

zechariah 6:

I looked up again, and there before me were four chariots coming out from between two mountains—mountains of bronze.

2 The first chariot had red horses, the second black,

3 the third white, and the fourth dappled—all of them powerful.

4 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these, my lord?”

5 The angel answered me, “These are the four spirits[a] of heaven, going out from standing in the presence of the Lord of the whole world.

6 The one with the black horses is going toward the north country, the one with the white horses toward the west,[b] and the one with the dappled horses toward the south.”

7 When the powerful horses went out, they were straining to go throughout the earth. And he said, “Go throughout the earth!” So they went throughout the earth.

8 Then he called to me, “Look, those going toward the north country have given my Spirit rest in the land of the north.”

IN FACT THE NEW TESTAMENT IS COMPLEMENTARY TO THE OLD TESTAMENT.I COME IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK
this is the verse you're quoting. Read it properly, and understand.

You rushed to open the thread without stopping to think about what you were typing.

I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!”

2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!”

4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.

5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.

6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds[a] of wheat for a day’s wages,[b] and six pounds[c] of barley for a day’s wages,[d] and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”

8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Oahray: that was why I put up the pic.. At least you just agreed that ethics is subjective.
ok, let me break it down for you, since you posted a picture you yourself dont understand.

obama was on the view, with a group of women who are known to be very influential, hard hitters, and mostly the strong, independent type who dont take any nonsense from any man.

would YOU be comfortable not crossing your legs in that situation, when everyone else was crossing theirs?

you totally missed the meaning of context, and you posted a picture which completely trashed your point.

was this intentional, or? huh

Not saying these all the ladies arent good looking, but these topics are getting too redundant.

Think outside the box occasionally.

I see you people are still trying to sneak in your threads about people's children undecided

Culture › Re: Is The Name "ARAB" A Tribe/ethnicity,a Culture Or A Confederation? by tpia5: 10:43pm On Jan 05, 2013
True, hispanic is considered an ethnicity, same way black is an ethnicity even though blacks are mixed, but at some point, the admixture isnt considered the primary identifier in the race, rather the race becomes an entity on its own.
Culture › Re: Is The Name "ARAB" A Tribe/ethnicity,a Culture Or A Confederation? by tpia5: 10:32pm On Jan 05, 2013
KingMichael777: Theres no such thing as "Arab blood" because Arabs are a mix between Indo-Europeans, Africans and South Asians. They're a mixed group.
Maybe so, but there's currently a distinct race referred to as arab.

Its very interesting the two moderators who decided to " grace" the thread condescendingly with their presence, are the same people who, if seun the site admin tells them to jump, will only ask "how high?".

When you refuse to submit to church, you'll definitely submit to another master elsewhere.

Being black african doesnt mean you cant be arab, especially if you have arab blood, but currently white is the only colour officially ( or technically) considered arab.

North africans do not like to be called arab unless they actually are arab.
