In some cultures, when some people want to attack you spiritually, they will need to know your mother's names (especially her maiden name) and through that they will get at you. So I guess what she meant was that she didn't know the implications of giving out her mother's full names

they can find out the mother's name from someone else.

i know she's trying to imply what you're saying, but people who launch spiritual attacks on others, use any means possible to make the person fearful, and to get at them.

If indeed the boys were cultists/armed robbers who are known to commit atrocities on other people, isnt it the same character shown by those who murdered them?


I read an armed robber's interview the other day, on a national daily. He said somebody obtained him from an orphanage and raised him to be an armed robber. He'd never known who his parents were-his father figure was only the robber kingpin who kept telling him to forget about them whenever he asked. He was raised with other robbers and trained to be one. He never experienced parental care- only such care as would make him more effective in his mission.

I just dont know what can be done to make nigerians, and people in general, more humane. Inhumanity is glorified these days even by those who are supposedly normal. You see it everywhere- in the media, on sites like nl, in people you see around you, its just sickening.


When i keep shouting here about these things, i'm told i'm crazy.

I think the photos are evidence enough for the law courts and should be viewed there only.

The boys should have been turned over to the police, and the person who set them up also needs to be investigated.

Overseas, there are areas where if the police see a group of boys gathering on the street they break up the group immediately or the gang will face arrest.

These boys should have been held for the police to pick up, not murdered in such a gruesome manner. Have these lynchings ever stopped armed robbery in nigeria? No they have not and are simpky an excuse for people to release their savagery.
