Na today? People who commit acts of wickedness often hope they will never experience the same. |
Anybody wanting me to thank them should first of all unban my other ids here. |
Used to pass by the MSS bookstore somewhere around the SU building i think. Dont know if its still in that location. One day out of sheer curiosity i decided to go in and chat with the people there. I met two guys and one or two females. I browsed their books and struck up a conversation with either the guys or the ladies. We each threw out our various arguments for and against whoever's/whatever religion happened to make the rounds. After a while we bade each other adieu and i was on my way. That was when i was young and f.oolish. Would definitely not try something like that again now that i'm wiser. There were some books being circulated then, written by a non-nigerian muslim scholar about christianity. I read some of these books and they were one of the reasons why i decided to check out the store that day. Till now i dont even know how i found the courage even though i was well received sha. Though the people there argued every point with me. |
she was very photogenic. Like made for the screen, a natural. the long facial structure, warm smile and symmetrical beauty were the in-thing back then. to cap it all, she could sing. too bad drugs ruined things. oh well. |
even though i dont listen to christian rap and hiphop so much, if its being used to reach the audience that is into these genres, then God is in control. however, i'd still draw the line at semi-n.aked dancers since licentiousness does not work the grace of God although of course others may feel free to disagree. |
less time analyzing what chemical combination will get a man, more time actually living. ![]() |
^^look, i dont have time for either of you. let me just leave you oversabis with this fact: judas iscariot, the betrayer of Jesus, was the main whiner about money, among Jesus followers. if your main focus in church is to constantly whine about money, then you're well on your way to betraying whatever christianity you say you stand for. and what exactly is so unusual about that? Nothing, actually. |
attention seekers please find another thread because this one wasnt opened for you. |
gosh, you're so bitter and miserable. this is why i dont want you on my thread, and why most people hate seeing you post. must you be on nl? ![]() i guess you have no choice, hence your constant search for someone to keep you company in your misery. you can go to your village and kill everyone in your family compound if death is your ancestral idol. not my business. bye bye. |
btw why do people find it difficult to distinguish between fulani and other tribes in the north. just curious. |
^kindly dont ruin the thread, thanks for your cooperation. learn not to be a nuisance and get some civilization. dont reply plz!!!!!! nobody really cares about your issues or insecurities, so keep it moving. and i dont watch videos posted by people i deem i.diots- most of you are p.orn addicts and too predictable. |
Idungjay:so only devilish guys are available? ![]() usually a dating pool is composed of males and females who are available but you can correct me if i'm wrong. mind how you turn up your nose at guys because this type of attitude tends not to end well. what kind of man do you say you need? ![]() you're yet to answer that question. and what qualities place you in the position of specifying who you need instead of who is looking. |
edit. If a church is having financial difficulties which are a direct result of the members refusing to pay tithe for whatever reason then imo the pastor and church leadership should consider this a wakeup call- either they need to pray for financial empowerment for the members, pray for healing for the church in case the problem is caused by strife, witchcraft or generational curses, or consider the fact that maybe God wants the ministry to mvoe in a different direction. |
I think i've commented hundreds of times on this tithe thing. As far as i know, nobody is being forced to give. As long as your church is not threatening you with hellfire for not giving tithe (or even if it is)- you are free to spend YOUR MONEY as you wish. This constant whining is very annoying and aggravating and personally, if i were a pastor (THANK GOD I'M NOT), I would personally pray to God to shut the mouths of these irritants who are always going on and on about why people should not pay tithes. If you christians (so called) refuse to pay your tithe when it is needed (how many pastors have jets or are living large for goodness sake), then its my belief that God can use even a muslim, an atheist or any other stark unbeliever to provide funds for his work. An 80 year old woman just died in CA recently and she left her house to homeless people. She also specified in her will that if the gift goes against city regulations, then the city is free to sell the building and use the proceeds to fund housing for the homeless. Just showing you its not everything you can understand or predict in this life. |
Take yorubaland for example. There will be cross cultural influences stemming from trade and migration along the borders of the region. The northernmost part which is around oyo or maybe kwara, will show a hausa interaction and vice versa for the tribes to the north of the area. The sides bordering benin republic to the west, will have some interaction from and to that side, the areas across the spectrum heading to the eastern fringes of yorubaland, will show trade and migration influences with the tribes you'll see if you keep going, while lagos which borders the sea, has strong portuguese and brazilian influences since it has a coast which is directly across from brazil. |
Thank you. Eg an area will have interaction between those on its borders to the west, east north and south. Please lets stop opening mouth like bush people as if this is something unheard of. It gives the nigerian educational system a bad image which is made worse by the fact that not every nigerian is a product of the nigerian educational system. But as usual, nigeria takes the rap. |
Dilluminati good thing you noticed and made your comment. I had quoted the post before noticing it was frm you. If i'd checked the poster id first i definitely wouldnt have bothered responding. However, after i rechecked the thread, i noticed you were the one who made that post and i debated if i should erase my response or let it be. I chose the latter, but that in no way means you should feel important or swollen headed. I dont like you either so kindly go suck a sour lemon if my quoting you annoys you. |
I dont remember a time when i didnt know about whitney houston, or maybe i cant tell when i first heard her songs. I do remember the first time i watched the bodyguard though. |
Btw @ troyjay you sound like an old user with a new id. What's your previous moniker, or the one you were known by. I wouldnt want to mistakenly be quoting someone i wouldnt normally interact with due to too much friction. |
Anyway @ poster what kind of man do you need. |
Is finding a man now about the kind you need, and no longer about who is available and willing to date you. Pardon my slowness- i find it hard to keep track of the dating trends of the younger generation these days, in my old age. |
^True talk. Its just a day like any other day for goodness sake. The winners here are the companies marketing valentine's day stuff, not the suckers taken in by it. |
What's shocking there. And is the daughter in question the one he had with the ethiopian woman. |
na joblessness and idleness dey cause am. |
may she rip. i think that era is officially over though it lingers on in memory. . . . . all the major players from then are either passed on or retired. but i had some cool jams from those times sha- waking up early to get ready for school, the first thing i'd do was turn on the radio for some good music. . . . . . .i mean after listening to the church [or was it a man?] somewhere in one neighborhood do their morning worship which i could hear thanks to loudspeakers. . . . .later the sound was replaced by a mosque waking people up with calls to prayer, i discovered many years later when i revisited briefly. . . . . . anyway, after the church [or man] singing [e je ka sope o, fun baba loke, pe a tun ji loni o], it was time for other cool music on the radio. . . . . . . oh well, those days are gone. |
this yoruba gospel chap singing on T.V. do you know he had about 4 girls dancing ikebe super, dressed in lewd clothes. The guy even had dark shades on, and about 5 other guys galivanting in the background. It was a christian song oh!na wa, na wa, na real wa!!!!!!! maybe that's the only way to connect to the youths and h.orny older males? ![]() |
@ topic not so much. |
