Islam › Re: Why Are Muslims Preventing Inter Religious Marriage? by tpia5: 6:23pm On Aug 31, 2011
its mainly specific denominations that try to marry muslim girls.

those are denominations which muslims themselves have strong ties to.

2 Pet 2: 1-3, 13,18- talks about what we will see in this end times. Christ embassy is the church of the end time for those that knows the bible very well. Rev 2: 14 , 20 talks about them again. Those that have ears let them hear. for Christ is coming for a church without wrinkles or blemish. We should also know the difference btw religion gathering and church
for those who have ears to hear.

In as much as I hate MJ for going ahead with the wedding, the said question:

is NOT IN THE BIBLE and ITS NOT EVEN SCRIPTURAL, the whole church wedding white wedding thingy is Man's contraception,
because of ifnorance, we see it as a spiritual exercise!
church wedding itself is not in the bible, and i think the question if anyone has an objection, might be from the civil code.

Shouldnt you make it yourself if you're pregnant.

Sounds rather risky to be depending on buka food, imo.

Dump him sweetie.

Move on and try not to build your next relationship on s.ex- you're too young if you're still in your teens.

I'd say face your studies for now and get closer to God.

Every tribe has cultural associations and i'm yet to meet a nigerian from a minority tribe who was an island. People from minority tribes still network among themselves.

Maybe the poster is trying to fit in with other tribes, hence his/her experiences.

in that case, you might need to learn the language of the other tribe so you can converse better with them.

dont bother stressing your self. there are nigerian stores everywhere. Travel light and enjoy your journey!
true but sometimes the nigerian stuff is more authentic.

eg the smoked fish is better, imo.

however, i make do with what's available if there's no other option.

like yams for instance. Some of the overseas ones are almost like concrete.

the poster should go to nigeria, or open a thread in dating section.

cast your net on the waters.

but if no man is proposing at all, that's worrying and indicates something might be wrong with your attitude, just saying.

you can also adopt a child.

You're right. It's hard to be humble in the kind of work I do, and I do come across as arrogant sometimes. This is something I need to work on.
would have guessed police officer, but female police dont usually have problems getting married, at least as far as i know.

so I'll go with something in the IT line.
Romance › Re: 40 Year Old Single Woman: Getting Desperate by tpia5: 12:15am On Aug 31, 2011
there are many single ladies approaching or above 40.

think i mentioned this on another thread which i cant recall right now.

as women get more comfortable, or have improved financial status, the percentage of the ones delaying marriage tends to rise, leading to an increase in the number of singles.
Romance › Re: 40 Year Old Single Woman: Getting Desperate by tpia5: 11:58pm On Aug 30, 2011
I have tried dating unintelligent men and it's been awful for both of us, and I don't do well with dishonest or lazy people.
being unintelligent isnt synonymous with being a crook.

sounds like the men in question were unintelligent crooks.

if you get a good man who isnt intelligent, [dont know if thats an oxymoron], then you'd need to adjust your own attitude and not come across as snobbish, arrogant or snotty.

My aunt suggested that I go to Nigeria to find a husband.  She says there are a lot of men who would love to get a British Passport (I was born in England).  I don't want to do this, because I don't think that's a good basis for starting a relationship.
you're being too picky.

In case you're wondering why I didn't get married before, I've been looking for a relationship since I was 22, but no black men that I met who met my criteria (single, intelligent, honest and hardworking) were interested in me.
weird that in 18 years you didnt find a black man who met your criteria. It simply doesnt happen that way.

in any case, to cut a long story short, i'd suggest you either try dating sites or go to nigeria like your aunt said.

also, if anyone is interested in you, who isnt nigerian, you might give them a try?

i also suspect you only feel comfortable around men who are not single, or you dont really want to get married.
