Gbam, gba be, e gba mi, etc all indicate finality so the phrase looks yoruba.

imo

^Do the igbo women use ofi as wrapper, and combine it with the irukere (horsetail)? huh

I've never seen igbo women dress like that.

At a stretch i guess the photo might be edoid (bini), but that kind of dressing, combined with irukere and the pattern on the wrappers, indicate yoruba.

I stand corrected if wrong however.

I know some guys who speaks a kind of village naija accent and all these white chicks like the way they speak. It was surprising but now I am used to it.

I just want ppl to realize that what is cute or beautiful or sexy in white dude's perspective is almost opposite of what a typical African (Nigerian) considers cute/beautiful/sexy. What is exotic to us is garbage to them and what is garbage to them is exotic to us.
true that.

if anyone knows the title of a sci fi book where people travel to another planet and everything there is run the opposite way of how it's done on earth [govt, taxes, shopping, etc], please drop it here.

i've been searching for this book fruitlessly for ages now- nobody seems to have heard of it.

Andre Uweh:
The Yoruba tire their wrappers differently from the way the Igbo do. That of the Igbo is always x2. The site I got the picture suggest they are Igbo.
the women are yoruba.

that's yoruba cultural attire.

i dont know of anywhere in igboland which ties that kind or style of wrapper.

the oloris of yoruba kings are the ones who tie it most nowadays but its also a traditional yoruba thing.

anyway, @ topic

it has to be, actually, going by level of attractiveness to non-nigerians.
Celebrities › Re: Nigerian Accent Ranked Fifth Sexiest In The World By CNN by tpia5: 3:57pm On Aug 18, 2011
Cant afford to lose my nigerian accent not because of any sexiness but because i cant be conversing with my mum and with nigerians at home, like a foreigner.

I had a relative who forgot his dialect after a long sojourn away from home and it was taken very negatively. People thought he was being snobbish.

Not a good situation at all and in such instances, you might as well stay away completely.
Romance › Re: Proxy Marriage, Is It Recognized under the Nigerian Law ? by tpia5: 3:53pm On Aug 18, 2011

Islam › Re: Mut'ah: Islamic-sanctioned And Legalised Prostitution by tpia5: 3:44pm On Aug 18, 2011
This topic has nothing to do with christianity.

It is a muslim thing and as such it belongs in the muslim section.

There is already an ongoing thread where you can post your opinion and you did not need to open another thread to discuss the issue.

If you dont want to aggravate muslims then dont do things that will aggravate them.

Mods or whoever is monitoring this section, kindly move the thread to the islamic forum.

This isnt about tpia and neither is it a tug of war.

Just do your jobs, thanks.

Christianity Etc › Re: Questions? Comments? Complaints? Talk To The Moderators Here by tpia5: 3:38pm On Aug 18, 2011
Please move frosbel's new thread on the same topic, to muslim section.

It hasnothing to do with christianity and it might as well be discussed in politics, webmasters, business, sexuality or food section.

This is very annoying and extremely aggravating.
Islam › Re: Mut'ah: Islamic-sanctioned And Legalised Prostitution by tpia5: 3:34pm On Aug 18, 2011
Frosbel please move your topic to muslim section.

I do not know why you people are doing this but let there be order in what you do.

Reember God is not mocked and He sees what you're doing.

Show integrity occasionally since you say you're trying to preach the gospel.

This topic has nothing to do with christianity and you might as well post it in politics, computer or romance section.

I spent a lot of effort yesterday getting the other one moved to islam section and i do not appreciate what you're doing here. Please raise the issue with muslims, not christians because this has nothing to do with them.

Mods kindly move this to muslim section once again.

This is not about tpia but about doing what needs to be done. Remember you will also encounter the same situation in your personal lives some day.

Frosbel, what you are doing does not glorify God so cut it out.

I know many of you are cultists anyway.
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Joagbaje by tpia5: 3:26pm On Aug 18, 2011
@ topic

some nlers, not christians in general.

I'm indifferent for the most part and we hardly interact anyway.

My opinion is nobody should feel under compulsion to give but at the same time a closed fist benefits nobody.

God loves a cheerful giver -key word here is cheerful. If your giving has an ulterior motive or is making you have headaches, then you need to take time out and reassess the situation.

Just my opinion though.
Culture › Re: Igbo Women And Social Status by tpia5: 3:17pm On Aug 18, 2011
The women in wrapper only, are yoruba.

Food › Re: How Many Hearts Does Pussycat Have? by tpia5: 3:12pm On Aug 18, 2011
Some nigerians are just weird people.

Imagine opening this kind of thread for whatever reason.

Must you advertise every weird thing you do and now taint the entire country in your typical manner.

What a pity.
