lordy lordy, turn to Jesus @ op. these sort of tales show you need help. |
topic says waterside, no water seen on thread. |
married man |
dont put money in your mouth. una need Jesus. |
The "What Ifs" constant playing and replaying of "what if " scenarios, usually consisting of breaking moral or social ties in some way. Offer incentives to "sweeten" the deal. |
Emphasis on the Past (Including the Ex loop): strong emphasis on past experiences, growing up, list of exes, dangle the carrot of "reconciliation with exes", etc. bad past experience- focus on who "offended' you good past experience- make it bad. |
Characteristics of nairaland threads and many nairalanders: A technique called Suspension of Disbelief, whereby an implausible or impossible/highly doubtful scenario is presented as if its true. The readers are expected to simply take the scenario at face value and agree it actually happened. Suspension of disbelief or willing suspension of disbelief is a term coined in 1817 by the poet and aesthetic philosopher Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who suggested that if a writer could infuse a "human interest and a semblance of truth" into a fantastic tale, the reader would suspend judgement concerning the implausibility of the narrative.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_of_disbelief |
I'm not aware of any fair guy who is pressed for dates. And, just like some people don't like dating fair guys, there are those who also don't date dark guys. So, just find the one who is into you and ignore the rest. Did Utomi, Babangida, et al, not marry? ![]() Does Orikinla not regale us with tales of his various paramours regularly, in addition to his myriads of photos of women of all shapes and sizes every now and then? |
Blackett:True that. Not sure what the reason is for the thread, I guess the op is idle. |
Kingklent:Hehe |
Because its a catfish, and poorly done at that, even for nairaland. |
This na original diners and drive ins. |
Why was this thread moved to religion section instead of culture? |
Well, yes, she IS portrayed like bionic woman. I guess that's a key difference between the two books. In one, the female character is naive and inexperienced (led) while in the other, the female heroine is strong, driven and a leader. I've read more of CCB than I have of Grey, will read the latter sometime. |
Not sure why people feel they deserve medals for dating. Topic has been overflogged, I personally prefer if you just open up and say, ok, we have a quandary- we need dates for our girls/guys, otherwise they run the risk of remaining single. What's wrong with plain talk? |
If you like, strip n.aked multiple times by multiple streams and rivers and post the picture on every media you can think of, na your own wahala be that. You just post your n.akedness for nothing. |
maisalati11:See the surroundings where im dey mention "chief consultant" sef. Nlers and their "suspension of disbelief" chatter. I just pity whoever is in that picture, how did he get those wounds. |
Not sure. However, it was an innovation. |
What's the meaning of that? ![]() Can somebody explain. |
icebebe:because he noticed the finger over <$1000 |
Dexema:might have been reintroduced. if they are indeed sunning themselves in full view of the public, oyinbos would have captured those pictures long before now. hippo is an english word, individual languages would have other names if they apply. |
mormoni:what time frame are you looking at? those are not fresh wounds, and neither would a chief consultant describe a hippo's bite as poisonous. |
I've read of an Ife Queen who introduced paved walks to the city sometime around the eleventh or sixteenth century or so. |
in view of today's google doodle, which was interesting, I wondered if Nigeria has any known inventors of anything in ancient times. In case you didnt notice, here is the doodle: https://images.mid-day.com/images/2015/feb/Alessandro-Volta-doodleg.jpg commemorating Alessandro Volta's 270th birthday. He was a physicist and inventor. So, who are the nigerian names of note when it comes to inventing stuff? |
donpeey22:it is nobody's business but those involved, including any grown kids. |
perhaps as a sex addict, you find my post offensive. |
