CareerRe: Teaching Job Is Now Hot Cake In Nigeria(My Experience). by Trachea: 11:26am On Nov 18, 2013
I am not surprised at the kind of response this thread has generated( so little). It only points to the kind of attitude nigerians show towards teaching. Everybody has this pipe dream of working in an oil coy or bank or multinational. I work in an international school and i must tell you that the op is not exaggerating. My take home is over 200k monthly and i have accomodation. some of my colleagues earn as much as 300-400k. A friend of mine just got a job as a vice principal for 750k in a new school. So instead of wasting away pounding the streets of lagos or ph, its better to start early and make something of yourself. @OP can we contact?

I work as a tutor in a private school in Abeokuta. I have tried severally to approach banks to grant me a loan to purchase a car. i know that most of these banks do. But i was surprised when banks told me that they dont grant staff of private institutions loans. meanwhile my take home is almost 200k. so pls can anyone advise how i can get the type of loan that banks grant where you pay over a period of maybe 24 months.
Car TalkRe: How Does One Control A Car When Front Tyre Blows Out On High Speed? by Trachea: 2:51pm On Oct 17, 2013
AVOID THE BRAKES, HOLD FIRMLY TO THE STEERING WHEEL. There are no 2 ways about it. it has happened to me twice before. Also avoid speeding when the temperature is very high. That was what i noticed the 2 times it happened to me.
PoliticsRe: Attack On Ogun Tax Officials By Winners Chapel Workers (Video) by Trachea: 10:11am On Sep 18, 2013
iphy42: Please o, do churches and mosques pay tithes? Weren't the tax collectors aware of this. I don't justify the bashing but what is wrong is wrong!
Churches don't pay tax, but business enterprises do, even if they are located in the premises of a church. Kingdom heritage nursery school is a business enterprise and should pay tax.
PoliticsRe: Panic In Abuja As Army, Police Prevent Mob From Burning Church by Trachea: 1:49pm On Aug 05, 2013
Am a little bit confused here. The man was askd not to park in front of the church, but he refused. He was told to do frog jump and humiliated. He left the place to mobilize pple in the area to burn down the church. My question is when did he die? was it after participating in the mayhem he helped to cause? was he caught again during the mayhem and 'tortured' to death? Or was the reported death a ruse just to incite the emotions of pple in the area? Hmmm. FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
EducationRe: Most Expensive In Nigerian Secondary School In Lagos. Over (N4,480, 000.00) Per by Trachea: 1:22pm On Aug 05, 2013
hbpeze: Covanant pays 3million 4 nusring,1m 4 law*u can check dere web*ds post is fake
The schools the OP quoted are secondary schools , not universities.
There are a couple of schools in abeokuta that charges within that range. Daywaterman college charges N4million, while nobelhouse college fees is N1,2 million.
It must be noted that these schools operate the british curriculum.

PoliticsRe: Ogun State Gov. Ibikunle Amosun Boasts: Ogun Is More Industrialised Than Lagos by Trachea: 11:20am On Jul 01, 2013
Maxymilliano: Ogun State has always been choice destination for would-be investors before the coming of Amosun and you don't need to regale us with newspaper excerpt to make your point, what the incumbent does is taking it a notch higher from where OGD stopped by improving on infrastructures, particularly roads.

The situation was not as terrible as you painted it with the bold part of your post, Multi-trex and many company's along the Lagos-Ibadan corridor came on stream during OGD's tenure despite the 'terrible' situation. Nestle is putting up a massive manufacturing plant with a capacity that is way above what is currently on ground around the Papalanto section of the lagos-Sagamu interchange and I'm sure you don't know this.

The situation was not different at the industrial estate in Agbara, and Sango Ota where investors still trickles in despite the seeming infrastructure challenges during the reign of OGD.

Please, learn to say things the way it is, not what you read in the dailies ... cool

Waiting for your rebuttal ...
I live in sagamu/abeokuta and i know what the security situation was during daniel's time. To put it mildly,it was horrible. We had gun-totting cultist parading the streets in broad daylight. But thank God, things have changed. Most of those boys have either been arrested or they ran away since amosun's government came in.

I read somewhere in this forum that the office of the president should be respected. With this act, Jonathan has just thrown the little respect the presidency has remaining out of the window. This is childish.

musiwa25: Obviously the next president that is yoruba can not be from ogun state... It is obvious to see that.. that is what they are trying to tell you.

it boil down to who the state give contract, It means ogun state give his people state contract that why they are doing well. and ondo state dont do that. And who they give the political appointment in the federal cabinet and state.

The issue is the state most have a program to enrich its citizen.. And this is clearly what state like ondo state, osun for example are not doing.
What does contracts have to do with personal achievement?

Gbawe: Bottom line is that information is out there, for those who want it, that shows Amosun is working hard. These threads, if most nairalanders are secure and focused people, should involve mainly stakeholders discussing amiably while criticism should be sensible and developmental in nature not bitter, disgruntled, hateful and downright indicative of neurosis and inferiority-complex.

What, for example, concerns Akpabio with this thread? So the thread is not derailed, I will urge stakeholders , for or against Amosun, to present their utterance/pictures and/or criticism in a positive way, as obtains on other Nigerian forums, and ignore the mischief-makers who are not even from the SW. Genuine stakeholders know what is behind their bitterness. Let progressive-minded folks focus, on this thread, on the plans and good work of the Government or level constructive criticism or identify areas where more can be done.

Is education free with textbooks in Ogun state?
How about pipe borne water supply in the state?
And paying ALL civil servants the minimum wage of N18,000 monthly without delay each month?
How much is RECEIVED by members of the Ogun State House of Assembly for doing nothing monthly?
What is the budget for Amosun's state house feeding allowance in 2013?
Has he held LG elections so they can perform their roles such as fixing broken PRIMARY schools and primary healthcare centres as well as public markets etc?

Enough of the paparazzi yoyo cheap & cheerful projects without dealing with the BASIC matters of everyday life comforts and preparing HUMAN capital for the future as Awolowo did and Onanbanjo 60 & 30 years ago respectively.
It is obvious you dont know anything about Ogun State.

I live in Ogun State and i have travelled to many parts of the state especially Sagamu, Ijebu ode, Abeokuta, and other urban areas. The work Amosun is doing in Ogun State now is unprecedented. Whether people want to admit it or not, what we see on ground is what anybody can call massive construction. Come to these towns and see for yourselves. After all, Seeing is believeing. In addition, i believe the op took pictures from his own area.

akinalabi: The nineties was fantastic. We won the maiden edition of CAF cup in 1992 in Felix Owolabi's last season. We were unfortunate not to win the Champions Cup in 1996 losing on penalties to our nemesis, Zamalek.

You are right about the atmosphere. You no go find bus for Saturday afternoon if sootin dey home.
That's true. I remember we use to trek from oluyole estate to liberty stadium and back in multtitudes. It was always fun.

It is obvious from comments that MFM members are desperately trying to defend the action of the church workers.SR was detailed in their write up, with names of people it talked to and dates, while MFM's statement just attempt to explain away the incident. I believe we should detach our emotions enough to decipher what is right or wrong especially in religious matters. One other thing... There is a video of the molestation. Its dificult to argue with video evidence. Don't you think?

You all did a wonderful job of exposing this scammer called chibuzor. There are more like him. Let's expose them all.
