Vera and her gang left while tracy struggled to walk but had no choice because she had lost her purse when she was being beaten so she walked to her hostel whie people starred and sympathaise with her, she walked slowly because she felt pain all over her body but was happy deep inside her for the scar she gave one of vera's girl on her face with her nails, while going someone tapped her on her shoulder she turned only to see micheal smiling at her, confused of what he is up to she didn't bother talking to him as she continued her journey but micheal went after her and the following conversation took place.

Micheal: Hey tracy wait up i wanna talk to you
Tracy: i am not interested in talking, are you blind that you cannot see my condition
Micheal: am sorry at least let me give you a lift in my car
Tracy: no thanks
Micheal: i insist pls (he held her hand and tracy was too weak to walk so she accepted his offer and went into his car but warned him not to try anything funny with her.)

Vera continued talking while tracy was on ground starring at her while vera pointed a gun in her fore head.

The girl shouted shouted in pain when tracy quickly kicked viper on her face on blow her on her tummy, it was now a one on one fight tracy beat the girl mercilessly until she heard vera said

Vera: STOP, am quite impressed with the way you fight, congratulation you passed the test.

Tracy was like WTF, she was confused what vera meant and it angered her the more which made her confront Vera.

Tracy: what test are you talking about, do i look like ur puppet whom you can do whatever you pleases whenever you wish, you were gambling with my life who do you think you are.

Vera went closer to her, looked into her eyes and slapped her, I am vera the terror when you see me you see ur ticket to hell, i get what i want when i want and there is nothing you can do about it(she brings out a gun and points it at tracy but she was ready to die so she didn't react scared, vera laughed out loud meanwhile the people at the restaurant and passersby stood afar and watched the show, some of them were scared and spoke among themselves.

Girl 1: o lord save that poor girl from the being killed by those evil cultist.
Guy 1: if only you knew those girls you wouldn't utter a word, they have informats everywhere so pls keep quiet.

it was 2:25 already and the sun was ready to terrorise people's skin with its scorching everywhere.
when tracy saw her vera and her girls she didn't panick neither did she run away, if she died that moment it wouldn't really matter to her because she was already facing a big problem between her academics and family so she stood her ground to face whatever the girls had prepared for her.

Vera-d-terror: hi sweedy (tracy didn't show any sign of fear nor respect but instead she walked out on her she surprised vera while her girls went after tracy, they were three in numbers and viper was among them, one of the girls dragged tracy by her hair which annoyed her and she removed the girl's hand and slapped her like she
has offended her which made the three girls to rush tracy, it was a 3 on 1 fight, viper quickly carried a bottle and broke it on tracy's head which made tracy to fall down bleeding while the girls continued beating her, all this while vera was sitting on a chair watching as her girls beat tracy, although tracy was weak at that moment but she didn't want to die without giving them a scar to remember her with so she dragged one of them by her clothes and use her nails on her face.

Tracy felt frustracted from thinking and was walking towards the 2001 restaurant when her phone rang she checked the caller and saw it was her mom when the following conversation took place.

Tracy: Hi mom, good afternoon ma
Mom: (sobing) my daughter i need you to come home
Tracy: (surprised by her words and her voice which sounded like she was crying tracy asked her.) but why mom, what's wrong and why re you crying
Mom: it ur sister angel she is missing, at first she always hanged out with some bad friends which prevented her from being focus in sch and later we heard she had a boyfriend, i and ur father only scoulded her to mend her ways but she went to sch yesterday morning and never came home, am scared
Tracy: mom calm down okay i will be home by tomorro evening pls stop crying.

The news of tracy's missing sister weaken her and that moment when she was thinking about it while walking vera and some of her girls showed up.

Tracy was the last person to present her assignment, she made more than enough points.and even used some of her collegues points against them, at the end of the presentation the lecturer said he will post the names of the people in a paper which he has choosen to represent the school, he taught them for two hours.before he left, tracy was feeling tired but lucky for her that was the only lecture for that day so she went to her hostel straight to rest at first she wanted to trekk but max gave her a lift.


*the next day*
Tracy heard that the list will be posted in the afternoon by 12:00 so she was felt anxious even when lecture was going on and max noticed it so he talked to her.

Max: relax ur name will surely be there cause you were on fire yesteday with ur points so don't worry

Tracy: (laughs) thanks for the small talk it really calmed me down

Max: (smiles) am glad i was able to make you smile

after the lecture tracy ran to the front hall to check if she made the list that was when tracy realised the lecturer picked five students but she wasn't among them cause her name wasn't there, sad and angry she left not knowing some people had paid the lecturer not to include her name on the list but who?

The lecturer had selected 20 students and gave then an.assignment which they were to present before him so he could select the best students represent Unilag in the international moot court competition and he gave them an assignment,the topic was about the british colonial rule, it was more like a history assignment whereby the student have or defend or oppose the colonialist with their points but they weren't grouped so they had to present their assignment one by one after which the professor will pick the best candidates.
They all went one at a time and presented their points, tracy choosed to go last while max was the fifth person, tracy was quiet impressed when max presented his and opposed the evil deeds of the british stating from lord lugard to lyttleton system of rule so tracy decided to use his points against him and tracy was the only girl who acted as a defender to the british rule.

She got to hall only see everyone starring at her as if she came out of the garbage, max saw her and put on a smile to relax and calm her but she only smiled when she saw wasn't yet in class so she quickly went and sat beside max while the following conversation took place.

Max: morning sunshine

Tracy: that's not funny

Max: am not trying to be funny just being nice, anyway i hope you burned the mid-night candle to get some upstair (laughs, tracy looked at him and he quickly realise she wasn't smiling so he became serious)

Tracy:well i read my books for two hours and made some research which made the.topic easier to understand.

Max: that's good you do know we need to present ourselves before he can select the ones gong to represent us but i hope you will be selected.
The lecturer walks in, he apologises for being tardy and quickly got down to business, he told them to come and present their assignment.

Tracy woke up sweating and gasp for air like a girl running a maraton race, she sat on her bed thinking what the dream could be all about, she didn't bother praying, tracy is a girl who believe only in the existence of God she isn't a dedicated christian.
Tracy checked the time and saw it was 3:10am and she.wasn't feeling anymore so she brought her books and phone to read, she use her phone to research for something she couldn't understand and read for 2hrs before going back to sleep.

Tracy was woken by ella by 8:20am

Ella: babe wake up
Tracy: huh what
Ella: it 8:20, aren't you going for lecture today (immediately ella said the time tracy jumped out of the bed cursing herself for sleeping without setting an alarm)

Tracy jumped out of bed to fetch water only to meet a long que which signified her lateness has been written by the devil, she felt like crying but lucky for her ella had water so she gave her out of pity.
Ella left for class while Tracy quickly brushed her teeth and bathe before she realised she hasn't ironed her she white and there was no light or time so she wore it like that and rushed class.
