This is not far from it. The expired medical was taken taken. Once the new one is worked on, it will revert to PASSED

Oh I see. My first medical expires April 24, 2024. However, I did another one this year and uploaded it. It’s possible the VO looks at the old medical result which is why it went blank.

This may happen if your medical is close to a year.
quote author=milkay post=129592116]My medical passed on Thursday last week but I got an update today and when I checked the medical is blank no more updates.

Plus it’s been over 2 weeks I reapplied but the tracker has not captured my application.

Should I be worried?
There is an existing thread on Canada study visa on the platform. It is better to ask your questions there so you can receive better insight.

Good morning all.
Please has anyone make tuition payment with CONVERA global pay? I am trying to make payment with my naira debit card so want to know if it's possible.
Thanks
You cannot pay with naira debit card. If you have the right documentation and time is on your hand you can approach your bank and fill form A. Otherwise you buy USD from parallel market deposit into your dom account and your bank transfer to school via convera using details on the invoice

Any help on this?
1. Biometrics slip given on the day of Biometrics for wife
2. You will have to pay transmission fee the minor since there was no Biometrics. It Used to be 9700 before. You can get the current rate on VFS site.
3. VFS Consent form filled and signed on Page 2 only.
Others can chime in

Thank you for your response, I tracked it and it says it is under process at Canada visa office. I don’t now know if Canada visa office is same as vfs or it’s the Abuja office?

Does anyone know the meaning of the response I got when I tracked it ?
Canada visa office is the embassy where the visa will be fixed to the passport. Once this is done you will see the visa no in your portal. The passport will then begin its return journey to VFS and finally ready for collection. Good you are able to track, you will see all the movements on the traker

Please can anyone help with this
Most likely there is a typo/error in the email address on the biometrics slip. You can call the customer care. In any case you can give some days interval and go back to VFs your stamped passport will be back there.
Also continue to check your IRCC portal your counterfoil no will appear the day your passport is stamped in the high commission. It then takes some days for the passport to come back to vfs and ready for collection

Hello everyone,

I recently received an offer for an MBA program to commence in the fall and have made a CAD$3000 admission deposit. My husband will be my financial sponsor as he has enough savings to cover my tuition fees as well as my own savings which will more than cover all living costs.

My husband intends to travel with me to Canada during the initial settling period to assist with the relocation process, but return to Nigeria to continue his full time job, and visit Canada periodically for the duration of my studies. He could apply for a visitor visa, however it takes up to a year to process based on testimony from relatives who’ve applied recently.

Would it be advisable for him to apply as a dependent as part of the study permit process even though he is also my sponsor and actually intends to remain in our home country due to his strong ties to his current job?

In my research so far, these seem to be my options
1. My husband applies as a dependent and we state in the study plan / cover letter that he intends to remain home for his full time job and only visit Canada occasionally.
2. Indicate he fully intends to move to Canada? But
my husband and his career in our home country are supposed to act as proof of home ties for the application. However, I fear stating he will move to Canada fully (while being my sponsor) can negatively affect the strength of the home ties in our application.

Would greatly appreciate getting advice on this, thanks everyone.
From a personal experience, it works best if you apply alone. Your husband will later visit as a family based on your invitation. Likely to get the visitors visa in under 60days.
Pls is this what the confirmation email look
What you have shared is a email notifying you they sent something to your portal. Most likely to be the submission confirmation and BCL.
Log into the IRCC portal. You should see a submission of confirmation letter IMM 5739 and a biometrics collection letter which yo will use to book and go for biometrics.

Please what do u suggest we do , or is it because of the attestation stuff...

Did you receive a confirmation of submission email from IRCC?. This should be immediately after submission. Thereafter the BCL after 24hrs or so. Also have you done Biometrics for Canada in the past? . It could also be attestation letter related.

Please can I schedule appointment for biometric without getting a biometric request letter. I submitted since Jan 23 and I. Haven't gotten a biometric request letter

Ordinarily biometrics collection letter should appear on the portal 24 -48 hrs. after submission. It is impossible to schedule without the letter, some information on it are required to finalize the booking.

You can use the Tax clearance that expired Dec 2023. I just submitted form A for school fees and upkeep with Standard Chartered Bank for my ward it has been reviewed and approved, but do not know how long it will take to disburse. I was told there is a queue, but will be called when it gets to my turn.

Doraehi:
Hello everybody. Recently I've been so confused especially because of my academics.

Last year, after completing WAEC and NECO, my mom and I were talking about schooling abroad and we decided that I should make some research with my phone. This research started November 2023. After making my research for about 2 months, to understand the educational system in some countries like US, UK, Canada, the Caribbean and Australia, I finally came to a conclusion in January that I wanted to school in Canada so I did further research on Canadian Universities and finally decided and picked University of Manitoba. And then did further research on how to get a Canadian Study permit. (After going through alot of things I saw on the IRCC website, I finally understood, at least to an extent).

So I discussed with my parents about everything and what the whole process entails: from gaining admission into a DLI and applying for the Study permit, I told them the tuition was about $23,000 estimate and that I needed at least $20,630 as proof of funds. And after hearing that, they said it was ALOT of money. My dad told me to calculate everything I needed to get there and get back to him. After doing the whole calculation with my mom, I concluded that 60M Naira would be enough for the tuition and other fees, POF, accomodation, flight and others. Meanwhile, I had already submitted my application (did it myself), it was just my application fee left. We didn't want to pay the $120 application fee yet until we were sure that we would do the whole process.

I discussed with my parents and they said it was alot but they could try to get it. I honestly believe that studying abroad is not a do or die affair but is there any harm in trying? We could try, maybe it would turn out to be one of the best decisions for me and my family. If not, I already have back-up plans (I registered for JAMB) Other than that, my parents have always wanted to sponsor me to a school overseas (I'm the first child so yeah they've always wanted it).

They could get the money but I wanted to apply for September intake 2024 (because it's obviously the best intake) and I think it's a very short time interval because I should have drawn a study plan at least 2 years before I wanted to leave. I feel like if I rush things, my visa could get denied and it would just be a wastage of time and money.

I'm just 16 years old, I'll be 17 by 16th of June, 2024. And I don't really want to waste time in my education because the clock is ticking. So I don't know, should I just wait till next year, September 2025 or do you think I should go ahead with the process this year. I need honest opinions because it would be really useful. Alot of you are pretty much experienced than I and my parents are, so your advice would be really helpful.

Also, if you know any way I could be able to get proof of funds and tuition (it could be through a loan) and get visa approval, please share.
As a 16 years old your chances are of approval are high if sponsored by your parents. Parents will show total cost for first year and must show means of sustainable income for subsequent years with proper documentation including employment letters, pay slips, bank account statements, letter of sponsorship, affidavit of support etc if an employee. Relevant documentation like business registration etc etc will be required for business owner. You can also include assets like properties etc

Transiting from U1 to year 2 main course is tricky especially for competitive courses. It depends on the academic performance and meeting the requirements.

I recently got two admissions for my daughter to study undergraduate degree course one in manitoba , another one in ontario.

My question is if I accept the two offer while I use one to apply for visa , will this jeopardise her chance?

Accepting the 2 has no effect on the application. Someone I know got undergraduate admissions to University of winnipeg and University of Manitoba accepted both but finally used acceptance letter from UM for application and got approved.

That above narrative is not true. 2yrs Tution fees amount is what you should put where indicated on the ime form, if you submit say today your pof remains 10kcdn.
Put one 1 and show where subsequent payment will come from.
I just got a 4 years undergraduate visa approved for my second child. That is what I did in both. Cases my be different though.

You will put cost of 1 year tuition plus the new 20,000 CAD plus others . But, since course is 2 years, you have to show how you will pay subsequent year fees.

Good morning gurus in the house ,
My daughter just submitted her passport last Friday (22/12/2024)
What’s the likelihood of passport getting returned for collection before new year?
Her flight to Vancouver is confirmed to depart on 2nd of January. Am aware VFS isn’t going to work on Xmas and Boxing Day. I am worried any delay may mean late travel, late course registration etc although my agent keeps assuring us that she will collect her passport this week but I am concerned

It depends. I submitted my son's passport in person in Abuja on a Thursday and by Monday afternoon I got the ready for collection. It was picked on a Tuesday . About 3 working days. If you are receiving the VFS mail you can follow the movement.

I am in a bit of a dilemma and I don't know if this applies to me as well.

I was supposed to resume in September 2023 but my visa arrived in late October, my agent deferred my course but unfortunately, the school does not offer the course in January, so they moved it to September 2024.

My visa is only valid till July 31st 2024. What do I do? Can I resume early in Maybe June and apply for an extension or do I have to apply for a new visa?
You can apply for a different course, within the same school. YOU CANNOT change your school outside Canada, if you do you will have to apply for VISA afresh

Hello Gurus!

Hope today wasn’t too stressful? Please I really need your opinion on here. I’m being sponsored by my family owned company which I’m also a shareholder, the company as various assets, my dad is also supporting with another SOA.

So the thing is, I recently finished nysc and I just started working , I was adviced not to show my personal account but now , my dad wants to send me money for part of living expenses and my brother also wants to do so.

who should send me the money and how should I explain? Should I use a gift deed from my brother or have the company send me money into my account or I should explain it in my SOP?.

Please anyone and everyone, please I really need help with this please.

As a fresh graduate you are better off NOT showing an account statement. Let your dad and brother be your sponsor and provide you with the all supporting documents and bank statements including -Letter of sponsorship, Affidavit of sponsorship, etc. remember to include birth, certificate showing the relationship and pay part or all of the the school fees. Good luck

Thank you to all those supporting this platform especially JMG12 , ZUBIZARETA and other gurus ,I might not be able to mention all names. Please accept my greetings.

I did my upfront medical on Monday and the result came out today .
Please how do I submit the result to IRCC as I have already submitted my application.

Thanks [/quote
You can submit the result to IRCC through Webform. You can also use the several IRCC email address shared on the platform. Alternatively you can wait for IRCC to send you a medical request if you have time on your side. Personally I think it is better to send to them so you get your PPR direct once your application is approved.
