Hello, please does this apply for applying for Maintenance/upkeep via form A from the UK?
I’m yet to travel but I already have my visa. I’m thinking of applying and using my friend’s UK bank details since I haven’t opened yet and when I’m there and open an account, she can transfer to me.
This is instead of buying pounds black market here before traveling. Please what do you advise?

I went for my upfront medical at IOM only to be told to wait behind for TB test. Test has been done and I am to wait for 2 months for the result to be out.
A doctor at the clinic advised me to hold on till then before applying. Has anyone experienced this? How did you tackle it. Please help a brother. Thank you

I dont think it is possible for you to apply for form A without a valid student visa.It might just be in the system and it wont be approved.
I guess it is because your visa was not attached as at when you applied
You can reconfirm though.

You do not require a study visa to pay tuition through FORM A. Admission Letter and Passport Data page plus other documents as the case may be will do. Average Processing time these days is about 4 weeks , it just that some banks are more responsive than others.

However for Upkeep/Maintenance Allowance you have to be in Canada to access this through form A

Hi, Please a family friend just got admission in Conestoga and needs to pay the tuition deposit. Please, for those that have used form A, did you generate the payment details using the Western Union pay; was that what you used for the form A?
If yes, where do they need to specify the reference number given as there is provision for reference number on the firm A?
Then, Western Union indicated that transaction has to be made within 3 days; so I don't know how that will be possible with form A.
In summary, please how did you go about paying with form A?

Really? I was informed by my travel agent that a transit visa is required to transit via UK.
Pls confirm that you have gone through this route before without a UK Visa especially as I see very good air ticket deals on BA Airline.

Egypt Air, Lufthansa, KLM, Ethiopia Airline are some of your options

I sent my family passports to vfs Abuja since Friday July 8,2022 using courierplus but I was informed around 10am on Friday July 15,2022 that it has been delivered to vfs Abuja but I do not receive the usual vfs Abuja message that the passports have been received and it's under processing.

Is there anything to fear about that?
And is there a way I can confirm if the passports have been delivered?

You can call VFS on Monday morning for update. It is possible there is a missing letter/error in your email address.

It is perfectly normal. That is what folks on NL do, use DHL to send their passports to Abuja or Lagos VFS.

I submitted my passport through Courier instead of submitting to Visa Application Centre Lekki they sent to Deputy high commission at Victoria Island Lagos. Please is this normal cuz I have not been updated since Last week.
